Welcome to CAP World Cup I. Hosts are Murphy Lawden, goldmason, and Concept. Discussion will take place in the Smogon CAP Community Discord, be sure to join it!
In this tournament based on Smogon's WCoP, you will rally up to fight alongside your countrymen for the glory of your nation and the coveted World Cup! The winning team will be awarded a team custom avatar, courtesy of PS admins! The format will be as follows:
- SV CAP
- SV CAP
- SV CAP
- SS CAP
- SM CAP
- ORAS CAP
Teams consist of six starters, two to four substitutes, and two captains.
Each team will play 18 games in a pools format (3 games per player).
Substitution:
Each team will have two to four subs per roster, and Captains may use them as they see fit. Keep in mind once a player is subbed out, they cannot be subbed back into the same round.
Substitutions will be not be allowed in tiebreak series (if needed) unless both teams agree. We will be reluctant to give activity wins to those who are clearly fishing for them.

Deadlines:
All battles are to be completed by <t:1766984340:F>. Battles that are not completed will be reviewed for activity and have a winner declared accordingly. If both parties are at fault, the game will simply not count in deciding final standing. Activity calls will not be made before the round is over.
Posting wins in a timely manner
In order to have accurate standings and substitutions, we need to have games accounted for in a reasonable timeframe. To that end, winposts (with replay included) during pool phases must be made within 24 hours of the game being played in order to be valid. Winposts do not specifically have to be made by the player, they can be made by their captain or teammate if they're unable to do so themselves.
