Project SV ZU Secret Santa [HO-HO 6th Edition]

dang I wanted first blood, was too busy being indecisive lol

MERRY CHRISTMAS diegoyuhhi!!!!!

:SV/glastrier: :Sv/froslass: :sv/toxicroak: :sv/whiscash: :sv/venusaur: :sv/grafaiai:

You requested Glastrier + Uncommon Spinblocker, and I chose Froslass! A spinblocker only really needs to switch into Hitmontop and Sandslash, and Froslass can tank a Knock/Taxel/Bpunch and wisp back, essentially removing said mon from the game. If they stay in on you, you have Pain Split to not die as you click Spikes 3 times, trading a mon and hazards for their removal. This Froslass was pretty effective (esp on ladder where ppl would let me trade lass for their removal), and its a set I might use again in the future. I went with Resttalk ice-ground Glastrier, since you either get 3 KOs with ur moves or you resttalk and never die. Tera Electric is for any special attackers that think they can kill you. I knew I wanted Bootspam on this squad since I had 2 ice types and didn't feel like adding Hitmontop, especially once I realized I had longevity issues with lorb croak. Toxicroak is the first knocker and a good breaker that can force switches with spikes and serves as the Basc check with tera dark, as well as the Toxicroak check pre-tera lol. Whiscash serves as the rocker and Zard/elec switch-in, and it has actual defensive stats unlike Camerupt. Cash is also chosen as a rocker that isnt useless into Orthworm, since with glast/croak and the possibility of iron tail destroying Froslass, it's good to get that mon out of the way as soon as you can. Venusaur is here because I wanted a grass and it gets knock. It's a pretty last minute change but it's been long enough trying to find a grass that fit perfectly. I had Virizon and Shaymin at one point, and even consider Sceptile. Finally, Grafaiai is reliable speed controll because I didn't want to load a Flying or U-turn weak defog deterrent and I'm scared to run Scarf Braviary. In previous versions with Agility Brav, I found it to be an unreliable fast cleaner when the team needed a reliable one, since it needed to take a hit and then clean with brave bird recoil. As for threats, Lax and Worm are the 2 mons I struggled with the most, since Froslass cant just recklessly switch into them. Glast and lax just sit in front of each other, and Orthworm is dying too early to be a long-term threat. The last 2 mons were pretty recent changes, so if you want a diff grass or venu set (sry i was tired of testing on ladder when I knew the core worked and just needed to test vs lax) or you trust scarf brav more than I do on a team with a rocks answer of not caring about it, feel free to change it.

:Glastrier: :Froslass: :braviary: :Shaymin: :toxicroak: :Whiscash: shaymin version (swapped because brav too slow/unreliable and i wasnt sure abt shaymin despite how good hwish was on paper)

:glastrier: :froslass: :braviary: :virizion: :toxicroak: :Camerupt: camel version (swapped because it got 2-3hko'd by everything and died when i needed it still, also I cant tell u what viriz does besides click into worm)

:Glastrier: :Froslass: :Piloswine: :Cryogonal: :sneasel: :rotom-frost:mono ice version (i went lapras > cryo on another version but i had 0 games with it. fun team, weak defensive core for some reason that i cant figure out)

:Glastrier: :Froslass: :Charizard: :Mesprit: :grafaiai: :Lanturn: version 1 (changed because I didnt feel like it played like a spikestack should, and mesp didnt fit the vision since i never clicked rocks)

And Santa looked outside his window, and saw all the happy children shouting with cheer and gathering around the Christmas tree, green and flowering even in the cold.

:arboliva: :samurott: :magneton: :mesprit: :toxicroak: :pyroar:
Merry Christmas Dead by Daylight! You requested a Specs Arboliva balance team. This was a very fun breaker to use, with power even surpassing Clawitzer and comparable to CB Crabominable (both of them are able to oneshot Spiritomb at full, and Arboliva doesn't even need the terrain booster). The speed is for uninvested Lanturn and the default smogon Mesprit, although changing it to be slower and bulkier is an option, with Poison tera as it reverses the matchup on fighters and is just a great tera. It's paired with an Assault Vest Samurott to switch into fires, and unlike Lanturn it can knock and beam any incoming Venusaurs, and knock Snorlaxes (although just using Lanturn is probably not that bad of an idea). Magneton is a great defensive steel type and slow pivot, and it appreciates Arboliva farming any Lanturn switchins. Tera Ground is useful for blowing up the mirror match, and deletes any Jolteons or Lanturns that try to carelessly volt. Mesprit is the standard lovable ZU titan, granting some physical defense, another slow pivot, rocks, and Encore (which I put because the team doesn't have many other great ways to deny setup and this is the generation of cheese spam). Scarf Toxicroak provides the team with speed control, with very strong stab moves and few permanent defensive counters, and enjoys Magneton bullying Weezing and Arboliva sniping any Spiritombs that try to get greedy. It also switches into or revenge kills opposing Toxicroak fairly well. If this rises in January, you can probably replace this with an EQ Scarf Passimian. Finally Pyroar is here to spam Hyper Voices alongside Arboliva, keep Snorlax pissed off with WoW+Taunt, help with Charizard and Venusaur, and surprise troll the annoying fighters like Sneasel and Toxicroak with Tera Ghost.

As the day turned to night, however, Santa got some more devilish ideas for his tree and its grassy benedictions, and threw the concept of balance a little more by the wayside.

:arboliva: :farigiraf: :snorlax: :sandslash: :spiritomb: :magneton:

This second team uses the grassy terrain provided by Arboliva in a more active supporting role, using it to abuse the very strong Trick Room Farigiraf and provide Leftovers and a +1 Defense boost at the same time. Agility is another option, but the bulk of the TR set is very nice. Spiritomb is another Trick Room user that can take several kills on its own and abuses the annoying fighters that threaten the three Normal types. The last three mons provide a decent defensive core supported by Grassy Terrain, with Sandslash as the physical defense and the rocker/spinner, Snorlax as the special defense, and Magneton as a steel type and pivoter. This Magneton set is at 221 speed because I would feel pretty bad giving you a team with only Pokemon slower than Clawitzer. I'm not entirely sure how sound the fundamental concepts are, but this is definitely a fun team to use, and I encourage you to experiment with the choices.

Merry Christmas risin_glory!

You requested a team that has 1 physical breaker, 1 special breaker, 1 physical wall, 1 special wall, 1 tank, 1 speed control, and preferred some amount of pivoting. I hope I was able to deliver! The layout of mons will be in the order of the categories that you laid out for me.

:toxicroak::houndoom::sandslash::snorlax::mesprit::rotom-mow:
This first team I wanted to use AoA Toxicroak since it seems really strong right now as a physical breaker. It also works well with its offensive partners since they both force in Snorlax. Mesprit as the tank is always solid as it is one of the best rockers + physically defensive sandslash to help chip down Snorlax and keep off hazards. Your own snorlax helps defend from most all special attackers. I think Rotom-Mow is underrated as speed control right now because of Venu, but you have both Croak and Doom to take advantage of it and force progress against teams who rely on it to stop Mow. I used it a lot on the ladder and it seems solid!

:hitmontop::whimsicott::sableye::lanturn::orthworm::typhlosion:
This is a pretty typical and strong hazard stack core. Sableye + Orthworm has been pretty common since Orth can drop double hazards and does well at checking a lot of stuff in the metagame. Lanturn is almost required to help against stuff like Charizard who can take advantage of Orthworm, but I love its ability to slow pivot and bring in your breakers, Whimsicott and Hitmontop (yes Top should be considered a breaker, dude hits like a truck). Whimsicott is still very potent in my opinion with Psychic to rip through Venusaur and Muk, while U-Turn brings in Hitmontop against it's bad matchups into Snorlax and opposing Orthworm. I was trying to find a solid speed control and ended up experimenting with Typh. It's got great offensive typing to help with the team and appreciates Hitmontop's ability to get hazards off the field.

I hope you have fun using these teams!

:glastrier: :lanturn: :mesprit: :charizard: :whimsicott: :sneasel-hisui:

Happy holidays Zpice ! You requested a team featuring Resttalk glastrier, super fun set. I figured that without SD, glast would work best against offensive teams rather than defensive teams. So here i went resttalk with STAB and CC, might seem a bit weird on a resttalk set but imo hitting lax and orth hard is enough reason to use it. Went with tera dragon to resist stuff like basculin, zard and the grasses. Fairy and ice attacks are rare so it makes glast even more nightmarish for offense teams to deal with. Speed is for regirock, rest in bulk and attack. Lanturn and mesprit are my go-to for offensive builds, the switchins and pivoting they provide is sooo nice and comfortable. Standard sets on both of them, they help cover Glast defensively pre-tera. Charizard is super good for bulky offense like this, primarily put it to check grass-types bc arbo and whimsi were scary. Whims with specs is really good rn, especially with zard, also handles tomb which the team didn't have an answer to. Psychic snipes poisons, helping Scarf Hsneasel clean up better late-game. Hazard removal is a pain to fit but it shouldn't be too much of a problem with the pace of this team.

:glastrier: :oricorio: :whimsicott: :lanturn: :mesprit: :hitmontop:
A different build I also liked, ori is still kinda broken, provides the same defensive utillity as zard on this team so thats nice. Tera grass lets ori setup on electrics and waters. Hitmontop provides the team with an actual spinner and some nice priority aswell, i like bullet punch to snipe minior and whimsi. Nothing much else changed, this version id say is better against bulkier teams but is still good against more offensive builds.

Hope you enjoy the teams! I had a lotta fun building them. Happy holidays!

Xmas boomer humour : r/terriblefacebookmemes

This was the most boomer message I could find

Merry Christmas player of the week #32 BaitWiz. This was your request: "Big ZU has tried to convince me that Band Morpeko isn’t viable in SV ZU, but I’m not convinced. I’d love a team centered around Choice Band Morpeko as its primary breaker with either Tera Electric or Tera Dark, up to the builder’s discretion."

And here is your team!
:Morpeko::passimian::mesprit::venusaur::samurott::snorlax:
I liked building with Choice Band Morpeko, it is right around my alley since it screamed for a Volturn team, to abuse its Parting Shot and to obviously bring Morpeko in, because it cannot take hits at all. I started with Scarf Passimian and Standard SR Mesprit, that felt like good partners, since they invite Pokémon like Sableye, Spiritomb and opposing Mesprit in, that Morpeko can abuse pretty well. Physdef Venusaur felt like a good 4th member here, to help with Basculin and Whimsicott, that felt annoying for the team. For the last 2 mons I wanted setup sweepers to abuse Morpeko's Parting Shot, and Samurott felt like a cool option, with very strong Aqua Jet to clean and Megahorn for grass-types that could annoy Morpeko, Tera-Steel on it can help you if a normal-type like Grafaiai or Braviary gets out of hand, since this team has no normal resist. Lastly, BaitWiz, the Snorlax, rounds out the team as the usual specially-defensive sponge, but this set has max attack uses Protect over Rest to rack up on Leftovers recovery and let Snorlax stay on the field a bit longer once it sets up and break more efficiently.

Replay of lettuce's famous stall getting smashed by it (also thanks for testing with me). This is how you do it Drud - https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9zu-2503417268-wmnggdtqxligb7a53yaufvbflwaatxcpw

There's also a second version that I tried here, but I don't like it as much as the other one
:morpeko::passimian::mesprit::venusaur::lanturn::grafaiai:
This version adds Lanturn as a voltblocker (since the team didn't have one) and obviously adds another slow pivot to bring Morpeko in safely. Grafaiai then takes Samurott's slot, being a faster SD breaker that can abuse Morpeko's Parting Shots. I think another setup sweeper like Braviary could potentially take Grafaiai's slot here. The team seems very customizable

Hope you enjoy it friend, happy holidays!

:sv/porygon:
BG (Porygon) @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Foul Play
- Thunder Wave
- Facade
- Recover

That thing is really really really ass, but at least it's not as bad as Toto's Block SD Lickilicky. Unlike P2, I can't expect Porygon to do any sort of meaningful damage, so I went for a SpD set with Foul Play + Twave. Trace makes it not so bad, and able to annoy Jolteon and others. I picked Facade as last move so it's not useless if burnt by Charizard or Lanturn, and it also breaks Jolteon's Substitute.

:sv/drifblim:
With Porygon, I really needed a Fighting check and removal because Porygon really gets chipped easily. So I went with the best Defogger in the tier, Drifblim. It checks most Fighters well enough as well as Snorlax that sits on Porygon for ever.

:sv/sandaconda:
I've liked the core of Drifblim + Sandaconda in balance, as two Pokémon that can heal and handle hazards. Sandaconda was particularly great here too because I needed some Knock Off answer with Porygon and Drifblim.

:sv/whimsicott:
I wanted some Speed control and Spiritomb check, so Whimsicott as an easy fit.

:sv/charizard:
Needed a Fire resist and wanted something that makes good use of Porygon being able to answer Jolteon. So I went with Zard.

:sv/toxicroak:
Rounded up the team with a set-up sweeper, Tspikes absorber, and Water immunity, with one of the best Pokémon in the tier; Toxicroak.

:porygon::drifblim::sandaconda::whimsicott::charizard::toxicroak:

Enjoy the team and have fun!

Merry Christmas to czim our beloved interviewer and ADV master !

You requested a volturn team that uses Toucannon, so here it is :
:toucannon: :basculin: :jolteon: :mesprit: :houndoom: :whiscash:

With NU threatening to take Braviary away from us once again, the mindful czim seems to have decided that someone should investigate a different bird... with base 60 speed, and I was chosen for that mission. It is important to respect your elders so I had to lock in for this one. The first part of the building process, which ended up being rather long, was figuring out what the touc had to deliver, and against which mons it could shine. Unsurprisingly, I ended up with something very close to an SM set, with a couple variations : regarding speed, I decided to make in 1 point faster than uninvested Sandslash, with I could then handle using several of the birds strength in it's high attack, guaranteed 125BP bullet seed and ground imunity. Adamant was pretty obvious and every other point was put in HP in the hopes of tanking any attack from something like venusaur. Knock off and Roost were added as midgrounds in situations where either the bird has a good matchup or not. Seeing as the star pokemon was weak to rocks, I was led to the conclusion that making a volturn team would mean spamming boots. It was then time to start picking out my pivots, and I decided that although the bird isn't a great pokemon I'd rather build something that hopes the bird can work rather than build a 5 mon team with the star pokemon as a "sixth wheel" so I chose Scarf Basculin and Calm Mind Jolteon for my main core, as both tend to lure in that wouldn't want to take a Brave Bird or a Bullet Seed from Toucannon. Following that, I made the easy pick of adding a Mesprit, it gets U-Turn so it fits perfectly as a third pivot, and it's various utility made it a prime candidate for the team (for any team really). At that point I was already leaning towards physdef mesprit, but I expected it to also act as my rocker for role compression. Once I had these 4, the one thing that bothered me the most was how terrible my Spiritomb matchup was, but I had also noticed some other things like the fact that my zard switch in seemed to be Basculin which is a big no no. I chose Houndoom to patch up these issues or at least make them manageable. This pick also made the team better into steel types, or any steel type tera, and took some weight off of Toucannon's shoulder regarding the handling of grass types like big Venu. Then came the dreadful task of finding the last puzzle piece of the team. At that point my biggest scare was my handling of Snorlax, although there were other things on my mind which I cannot recall. After getting unreasonably close to giving up on my initial core, I ended up adding Whiscash. Having rocks on something other than Mesprit allowed it to reach it's full potential by not wasting a moveslot on one of the best moves in the game, making it better into all the annoying defensive mons of the tier. Whiscash also allowed my team to have a decent specially defensive mon and eased up my situation into steel types and especially steel tera hitmontop which could smoke my houndoom with make punch any day of the week. For the moves, I don't think I went particularly outside the box, except for tera blast on Houndoom, which helps a decent bit in situations where you desperately need something to happen, and body slam on Whiscash is there for similar reasons, you never know when you might need that para. Following that the only uncommon tera type is ghost on whiscash, which somewhat makes sense but you're never clicking tera with Whiscash anyway let's be real.

Regarding the team's performance, it plays the way I expected it to. It does have some specific threats that destroy it (budgetplayer smoked me with scarf Toxicroak for example) but considering the star of the show is an UR I believe I did pretty well.

I guess I wrote a bit more than expected about the team process. Truth be told I really wish I had taken notes on my thoughts while working on the team for a more precise and more coherent writeup but it is what it is. Working on this team was really fun and it was also a nice experience to have to work with something like Toucannon, as it forced me to set aside any form of perfectionism which is often an issue that I have while building. Also I've been kinda procrastinating and I can clearly feel it isn't going to get better during the holidays so no second team woops.

I hope you enjoy the team mister czim !

I've been goobed the text didn't autosave '-'
Anyway, greetings mr. kriegueur. Turns out I'm your secret Santa. Sorry if the text sounds a little flat, all the emotion was drained from me in writing the first draft, trust. In exchange, I put a lot of effort into this build ^^

:Medicham::Sceptile::Mesprit::Braviary::Snorlax::Venusaur:

The request was a team built around a Sceptile + scarf Medicham core. Since the Sceptile set wasn't specified, I decided specs would be simplest to build around. These two don't seem to have a lot of synnergy in terms of shared checks? However, they both have enough brute strength to break through most checks on their own, while also boasting a respectable speed tier that few things in the meta outpace. Thus, the rest of the team is dedicated to the task of getting these two threats in as often as possible, while lasting just long enough to break down the opposing core before yours goes down.

:Medicham: : First featured mon and speed control. We run a standard CC + Zen Headbutt + Trick set, with Tera Blast Fairy last to punish Spiritomb/Sableye switchins. Tera blast saving teambuilding in SV.
:Sceptile: : Second featured mon and specs wallbreaker. The set is also very standard, with Leaf Storm/Giga Drain for STABs, Tera Dragon Dragon Pulse as a neutral click into resists such as Venusaur, and Focus Blast last to nab steels and Snorlax.
:Venusaur: : Venu provides the team with a soft resist to scarfers that outpace Medi, such as Basculin and Rotom forms (not Frost), as well as mr. speed tie Passimian. Knock off is always good value, and we run sludge + ep under the guise that surely the water type won't stay in on a Venu. Any coverage would get good value here, really.
:Snorlax: : Spdef cornerstone of the team that pairs nicely with Venu to form a long-lasting defensive core. Also doubles as wincon if the breakers fail to break by their lonesome, while also spreading paralysis to support the wallbreakers of the team.
:Mesprit: : Utility princess of ZU, sets hazards, disrupts setup, pivots, can do whatever the team needs to. This variation of the team forgoes knock on Mesprit as we have another Knock Off user in the back, but you can opt for two knock off users and abandon either of psynoise or encore.
:Braviary: : We round off the team with our removal option of choice. I opted for Braviary to have a second slow pivot for Medi/Sceptile, though it does come at the price of removing our own rocks. It is much more reliable at removing hazards than a spinner, so there's that.

The team is relatively difficult to pilot, requiring heavy predicting to properly break through enemy cores, but it seemed consistent in tests. No particularly horrendous matchups. Plenty proud of how it turned out. Hopefully you enjoy it too. Merry christmas and happy holidays!
Here's some replays to showcase more or less how the team is supposed to function:

Hey there Beavs! Looks like Christmas came early for you with me as your Secret Santa :Smogjynx:
(P.S. having to make this post on mobile so sorry in advance, it wouldn't be as good and beautiful as I wanted it to be)

Your most Unique request was a team around Primeape with Healing Wish / Revival Blessing Support. While you gave me the free hand with designing the support you did lay out exactly how you wanted your Primeape to be:
1) Has to have max speed
2) Can't have Bulk Up
3) Has to have Taunt
4) Can only have either U-Turn / Stealth Rock

Now these restrictions had me receding my hairline further back but I eventually figured out something that works and so PFB your Gift
:Primeape: :Rabsca: :Perrserker: :Lanturn: :Braviary: :Shaymin:

:rb/Primeape:
Without Bulk Up I did not see Ape winning purely with Healing Wish support so I knew I needed Rabsca with Revival Blessing.

:sv/Rabsca:
It was also clear that this team needed some solid Volt Turn core. Now my initial thought was Uturn Ape with Stealth Rock+Hwish Mesprit and Revival Blessing Rabsca but then I figured the team was stacking Weaknesses and losing speed.

:ss/Perrserker:
So now, I switched it to Stealth Rock Ape and Revival Rabsca with the Hwisher on hold. Now for the Volt Turn core I needed atleast 3 mons and whole rabsca is a fine pinch SpD Tank/Wall you don't want to bring it in unnecessarily so I added AV Perrserker to eat the Moonblasts and Psychic of the tier. Fun fact, max speed perrserker just creeps Clawitzer which is a nice benchmark.

:GS/Lanturn:
But now between Rabsca and Perserrker and even Ape I was VERY much a Charizard victim. The team so far also hated jolteon but hey I needed Volt Turn anyways so my dear adorable Lanturn was the perfect fit here. The particular set is my signature with 0- Atk Liquidation always breaking Jolteon's Substitute and volt switch pivoting out of water absorb mons.

:bw/Braviary:
Now while completing the Volt Turn core I realised Venusaur is a lot of trouble especially if it has earth power and I still haven't slotted removal. This brought me to Braviary with its solid damage output and respectable bulk. Special thanks to Rising Boltage and Lettuce Leaf to help me with the the EV spread that can trade vs self setting venu if at full.

:dp/Shaymin:
Now let's check what all I have missing on final slot. Speed Control, Optional Healing Wish, Mowtom answer, another basculin answer cuz lanturn has its hands full. Scarf Shaymin looked like a real godse d here (it's one of our best scarfer rn don't let anyone tell u otherwise).

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

HOPE YOU LIKE THE TEAM AND ENJOY USING IT :D

art inspired by rajewel's art on DeviantArt!
Merry Christmas, big tony 2014! I had the honor of being your Secret Santa for this year, and you presented me with perhaps one of the more difficult requests I've had to take on: Tera Ghost, Double Dance Ninetales in a tier with Snorlax and Regirock. Hrm. This can only go well.

:ninetales: :perrserker: :venusaur: :mesprit: :whiscash: :regirock:

:ninetales: - The featured mon in the request, I opted for Fire Blast and Shadow Ball as our attacks of choice, which hit for alright damage at +2. We're hopelessly walled by Snorlax no matter how you cut it (even psyshock is a worthless attack), so the best we can hope for here is slotting in shadow ball as coverage for a 2hko on Regirock at +2 after Stealth Rock and a Spike. Hazards in general are our game plan for helping get pressure on foes like Snorlax as well, who otherwise effortlessly switch into Ninetales.

:perrserker: - An amazing wallbreaker who I've been glazing for forever, Perrserker appreciates both the pivot support provided by teammates as well as the ability to be brought in off of a double switch, calling out Snorlax switchins and punishing them heavily. Tera Fire's slapped on to help against Sableye and flip the type matchup against foes like Charizard.

:venusaur: - Offensive Venusaur is an absolute house and knock off support is the cherry on top to pair with our hazard support, ensuring opposing Snorlax gets put on a clock as soon as possible and removing boots in the process. Tera Dark helps against psychics and Spiritomb in a pinch.

:mesprit: - Obligatory physical wall, Mesprit is pretty self explanatory by this point. Mon's good, physdef is great for abusing the likes of Passimian and opting for bulky mesprit lets us use Venusaur offensively instead.

:whiscash: - Much needed spikes support, gets to skip rocks as well which means we get to toss on all of Earth Power for Toxicroak, Ice Beam for Venusaur, and Surf for a nice secondary STAB that hits foes like Charizard.

:regirock: - Dedicated special wall and an alarmingly reliable win condition, I've loved Regirock for much of this tier's existence and this is the set that's really cemented that for me. IronPress is an option as well, but I usually prefer Curse + Rock Slide to be able to hit opposing ghosts, which IronPress sadly cannot do.

I opted against trying to make Hex work, since Toxicroak's in the tier to effortlessly soak up toxic spikes and getting status on most other foes is a pain, but it might be possible with something like Will-O-Wisp Spiritomb + TWave Mesprit/Regirock. Furthermore, even boosted Hex does far less damage than you'd like for a mon that your entire team is built around, so I felt like the best way to go about building around Ninetales was to lean into its capabilities as a special breaker rather than going for do or die with the double dance sweep.

Happy Holidays sleid, you asked for a PsyTerrain team. Luckily for me I already have built Psyterrain because Choice Findeedee is better than Choice Mesprit. I also have experiencing with PsyTerrain from other tiers, so this is a cook.
:Sandslash: :Indeedee-F: :Virizion: :Jolteon: :Minior: :Primeape:

Sandslash is the best mon in the tier, so he gets to be here. I also generally like removal on HO and it helps out every mon since none of them have boots but especially the rocks weak Minior.

Indeedee-F is obviously here because the PsyTerrain isn't gonna set itself. As for why it isn't Terrain Extender, I've found that in RU the extra turns aren't really necessary while the speed control helps you clean up that game and gives you more outs with HWish.

I feel like Virizion is one of the main reason to run PsyTerrain bc the stronger zhb is immensely auraful and lets you dispose of pesky poisons like clockwork.

Jolteon was a cool tech with this, you can probs go Sub > AVoice or TBlast if you want but tera blast psychic is funny for smacking Venu and it gets boosted by PsyTerrain so thats a W tech if I dare say so myself.

Minior is secretly OP, Sub Tera Ghost is the broken set for Regirock and with Psyterrain you can beat Prio from Basc and Sneasel which are two big forms of counterplay to it.

Last I needed a Rocker, so I went with Evio Primeape since he can set rocks and provide additional value with pivoting and stuff

Anyway this team is good, just don't face triple dark like I did when I piloted it in ZU Swiss kek

Merry Christmas budgetplayer

You see, I’m right on time for the day so please accept this modest team as my gift to you. I enjoy learning more about you, even though we don’t talk that often and I hope that over the coming year we’ll be able to share more and more teams together.

Anyway, you asked about an offensive four attacks Mesprit set and here’s the small team I built for you.

:mesprit::snorlax::sandslash::weezing::basculin::toxicroak:
https://pokepast.es/85a70a8e2b1ab398

The main challenge of this team was to maximize the strength of the Mesprit set you suggested while still keeping a solid structure without relying on the conventional defensive Mesprit. Snorlax and Sandslash form the backbone of the team. Together, they answer many common threats such as Charizard, Jolteon, Venusaur, Rotom-Mow, Oricorio, Toxicroak,and Hisuian Sneasel while also providing Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin support. I then added Weezing which plays several important roles. First, it acts as a reliable Fighting-type check, something the team needs when using an offensive Mesprit. It is your primary switch-in to Passimian and especially to Hitmontop which would otherwise be very difficult to handle. Weezing also provides a way to punish Basculin Wave Crash (more on that later). Finally, it serves as your main answer to opposing Sandslash and Snorlax which can be hard to deal with without a defensive Mesprit. I chose a stallbreaker set but this slot is flexible. Weezing also gives you a secondary check to Hisuian Sneasel and Toxicroak if needed.

Next, I needed speed control and a pivot to bring Mesprit safely onto the field. Basculin was the perfect choice as it can Flip Turn on Pokémon like Venusaur, giving Mesprit a free entry and immediate offensive pressure. Lastly, I wanted a breaker and my choice went on Toxicroak that could threaten Snorlax offensively, further punish Basculin and apply pressure to threats like Tera Fairy NP Mesprit and bulky slow Pokémon that Mesprit struggles to break on its own such as Arboliva or Glastrier. The sets and spreads for Snorlax, Sandslash and Weezing are all customizable. I chose an offensive RestTalk Snorlax, but a specially defensive variant is also very viable. Weezing runs a stallbreaker set to better handle Snorlax and RestTalk Glastrier which are fairly common in the current metagame.

I hope you enjoy the team!

By the way, wooper, your first team is so good, thank you so much. I’ve already started playing it and it feels really smooth.
