“fortunate” begins to describe my series, this game rewards skill and strategy and more, l am beyond convinced at this point. After me and my opponent had a fun, well scheduled and fair fight with no luck involved, i won. My preparation was superior, my play was superior, and I won, so I see a reason to continue engaging in this activity.

Okay, the process isn't the most convincing one. I played G3 in every round, and was almost knocked out in 2 games in the first round, but somehow I managed to win it all with some lucky moments and some good plays. Anyway, I won three individual trophies this year, so record-wise, I'm the most successful NDUB player in individual tournaments (the king of the team tour still belongs to emoxu9 , and it's extremely difficult to take the crown from his hand).
The whole journey started from the discussion in the VB ranking thread last year. Being looked down on by several council members made me really take this tier seriously. I started to play this tier last June for a national dex team tour on the Chinese forum. I did really well in that tour and enjoyed this tier a lot, but I wasn't determined to make achievements in Smogon. Then I posted my opinion in that thread, and you know the rest of the story. Now I'm no longer taking anything personal anymore, and all I want is to enjoy my trophies. There were several moments when I was tired of this tier and didn't have any inspiration to build high-quality teams, but overall, I think I consistently built creative teams in all the tours I played. I believe there's still room for innovation in this tier, and I will try to defend my titles in 2026.
