Project Overused Secret Santa ☃️☃️☃️

Happy holidays, ScribeofRevocis ! Here's your team built around Wo-Chien:
:wo-chien: :moltres: :iron-treads: :primarina: :dragapult: :darkrai: (click sprites for team)

Wo-Chien is the Pokemon the team is built around. It can check most physical attackers, most notably SD Ogerpon-Wellspring, Dragonite, and Kingambit. Foul Play lets it threaten physical sweepers, notably OHKOing Ogerpon after a Swords Dance. Knock Off removes items, while Leech Seed provides chip damage and healing. Leaf Storm is used to threaten the Ground and Water types that Wo-Chien can check, notably OHKOing Great Tusk and having a chance to OHKO physical defensive Alomomola. 96 Speed EVs let Wo-Chien outspeed Adamant Kingambit.

Wo-Chien is threatened by U-Turn, so I felt that Moltres was necessary to punish Pokemon who spam the move. It checks non-Stone Edge Zamazenta and Scizor, as well as providing a second check to Great Tusk, Rillaboom, and Kingambit, which could otherwise overwhelm Wo-Chien, as Leech Seed is not an amazing source of recovering health.

Both Moltres and Wo-Chien hate dealing with hazard chip, so I had to include a spinner. I chose Iron Treads over Great Tusk because it deals matches up better into Raging Bolt and Galarian Slowking, who both can come in easily on the rest of my team. I ran a specially defensive set to provide a sturdier check to them, as well as making it easier to get a Rapid Spin off. Ice Spinner lets Iron Treads not become setup fodder against Tera Flying Raging Bolt.

Because Iron Treads isn't the bulkiest Pokemon, I added in AV Primarina to offer a pivot and a bulky special tank that can check most special attackers, and the ones that threaten it can be dealt with by the rest of the team. Primarina also puts out a lot of offensive pressure, as Moonblasts and Surfs can deal a lot of damage. I ran a bulkier spread because I didn't feel like outspeeding Kingambit was necessary for this team.

Dragapult offers speed control and another pivot, as well as a check to U-Turn Wellspring and Zamazenta. Thunder Wave helps to let the rest of the team outspeed most Pokemon, and Moltres is already spreading burn damage. I'm running Dragon Darts over Draco Meteor because I feel like the team otherwise struggles to break through special walls and it pressures Weak Armor Ceruledge more, who could otherwise break through my two physical walls.

Specs Darkrai is a wall breaker and a second fast threat. Dark Pulses deal incredible damage, while Sludge Bomb and Ice Beam help to threaten resists like Clefable and Great Tusk. Trick is run as the last move to help against walls like Ting-Lu and Blissey that the team could otherwise struggle with and because I hate Focus Blast.

:wo-chien: I hope you enjoy the team, and enjoy the holiday season! :wo-chien:

Here's the serp team! I tested this on ~1800s ladder and it worked pretty well.
Overall basis of the team is to paraspam with serp/Zapdos to clear up faster mons for the teammates who aren't necessarily the fastest.
However you can go another route; leech seed < glare on serp to help heal the hoopa more (hwish is mostly for it)
And run scarf enamorus then, since you lost a bit of speed control.
Anyways merry Xmas and enjoy the team :3
Thank you! Looks awesome, I can't wait to try it out! Happy Christmas!

Dear LordThemberchaud,

It has been noticed that I will be your secret santa for this year! ^^

I heard you're interested in a team with :raging-bolt: Raging Bolt and :slither-wing: Slither Wing? Well you got the wrong right person for the job!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (click text for team)

:slither-wing: :raging-bolt:
Obviously had to start with this core lol
:alomomola: :slowking-galar: :slither-wing: :hatterene: :iron-treads: :raging bolt:
Idk what I was thinking here. Like my plan was to make some bulky team with RBolt as the wallbreaker. But the problem as you can see here, is that I have too many passive members on the team so I had to redo the whole thing ^^"
:ninetales: :hatterene: :slither-wing: :great-tusk: :raging bolt: :walking-wake:
Ok Idek what I was thinking here as well :blobastonished:. I intended to make a sun team for the 2nd attempt since SWing and RBolt are both Past Paradox Pokemon, meaning that they'd benefit from the sun with Protosynthesis but I soon realised one huge problem here, the team is very weak to fairies and opposing sun teams. I already tried adding :venusaur: but the MU still isn't that great.
:slowking-galar: :slither-wing: :great-tusk: :gholdengo: :raging-bolt: :kingambit:
And here is the final team, sorry being a bit basic but I had quite a hard time adjusting to the current meta ^^"

:slowking-galar: Glowking - Is your blanket special wall, para spreader and only weather check/resetter thanks to Chilly reception. FSight helps in matchups and SBombs are for the fairies and a chance to poison.
:slither-wing: SWing - Is usually the revenge killer once the pokemon is chipped. Can wall :great-tusk: GTusk and other ground types. Spreads burns onto physical attackers.
:great-tusk: GTusk - Hazards spinner and spreader. Usual Tusk stuff.
:gholdengo: Ghold - Denies defog and spin. No recover for coverage with FBlast. Usual Ghold stuff.
:raging-bolt: RBolt - Is the wallbreaker of the team and handles the birds well.
:kingambit: Gambit - Reverse mid/late game sweeper. Usual Gambit stuff.

Well once again this is my gift for you I hope you like it. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you all!

Agera Merry Christmas! Here's your Greninja team! https://pokepast.es/736f3e28401b8a94

I wanted to take gren out of its usual habitat in gen 9 of HO or rain and see how it worked as a breaker on bulky offense. I originally wanted specs with battle bond like the good old ash gren days, but found it just couldn't quite break through. Protean ended up being way stronger and of course the protean nerf doesn't matter with specs! Ice beam is great spammable stab, and sludge wave lets you snipe ogerpons, AV hatterenes and clefs. I went hydro over surf for the extra power given gren isn't that strong, but if you're not a gambler then run surf. Switcheroo brings great value in fat matchups where even specs gren just isnt strong enough. Its also nice for disrupting screens deo leads.

Drapple can come in on mons that might come in on choiced gren. The EVs let you from full live a +2 woger play rough, a val moonblast while outspeeding ting lu and maxing spattack. You can also run slower than min speed mola so you can deny safe wish + flip turns if you're having trouble in that matchup. Tera fairy is goated for the flip on dragons and reliable Zama answer.

Ace helps vs kyurems and can often trade with frailer threats like darkrai. Its a great strong pivot to invite in physical walls to get smoked by gren. And of course court change keeps gren alive a little longer.

Toxic gliscor is an unusual choice on such an offensive team, but it provides an invaluable backbone. It's the mandatory ground for bolt checking. It was originally a spdef rocks lando (my fave set) but I needed a non tera reliant Zama answer. U-turn keeps momentum, ensuring gliscor can maintain the teams pace of play and safely bring in gren. Knock off is another option, but I opted out as our hazards are unreliable due to ace. You can also run rocks if you don't like hazardless ace teams, but I find opponents will set them up into this team.

Gambit is gambit, bringing tons of defensive utility and priority. Speed is for clef, but I like fat gambits given how useful that dark steel typing is. Black glasses tera dark is to give you a fighting chance into stall matchups. But its also great for the fast pace of this team.

Lastly is zama, who is also pretty self explanatory. Chesto rest is my fave set, letting you cheese lots of wins, and it really appreciates fairies getting sniped by gren. It of course does a ton for the team defensively vs kyurems, darkrais and wogers who might break through. It also is important in keeping ceruledge at bay, and using chesto stops poltergeist which is awesome.

I hope you have fun with this team! Gren was great to build around and I think it's not too bad at all! Happy Christmas!

:sv/skeledirge: :sv/keldeo: :sv/deoxys-speed: :sv/tinkaton: :sv/ting-lu: :sv/dragonite:
LB

This is the skeledirge team you requested. It performed really nicely, I went undefeated in tests and ladder (around 1850).

I started out with skeledirge, and I realized it would fit best on a hazard stack team.

Next, I opted to go ting-lu because it is still by far the best spike setter.

Next, I opted to go for a tinkaton as my steel type of choice and stealth rock setter. You can opt for TWave/Encore, as you wish.

I realized I needed an answer to ogerpon, which is a huge problem for balance and I had already used a ghost type in skeledirge, I needed a flying type so i opted for a dragonite. You can use a bulkier set too.

I needed a water type (its just something i like to have in my builds) and an answer to kingambit, so i went for keldeo because hes the goat.

Finally, I needed speed control and another wincon, so I went for deoxys-speed with a nasty plot set. You can run recover if you want to.

Have fun with the team!

Happy Holidays!

kiru happy holidays and merry christmas:psyglad:. today i got 2 special teams for you to mess with using duck or hoopa

:quaquaval::raging-bolt::great-tusk::Kingambit::enamorus::gholdengo:

This team here is for the duck lovers! I opted for AV duck since it has a decent typing to some stuff like darkrai and moth. I liked tusk here since I needed a super bulky tank anyways, and the duck never really got spins off, so i figured it would be nice here. Bolt lets me pummel zapdos and corv really well, gambit gets rid of ghosts, enam for the speed control and healing wish with additional zama checking, and specs ghold for super strong breaking core with bolt.

but...i'm not done yet. This one is a favorite.

:hoopa-unbound::dragapult::tyranitar::great-tusk::zapdos::heatran:

AV Hoopa is an amazing tank and trades super well into a lot of structures. I couldn't figure out a specific spread i wanted, so i opted for the standard one on smogdex. Pult is here to pivot and spread status against mainly wellspring tusk and zama. Tera dark is for the rise of Ceruledge and lets me still resist gambit. Boots ttar is a neat option to check zapdos and provide additional special tanking, notably kyurem and raging bolt. AOA was a neat option for that. Lefties Tusk was a neat option since I got nothing to switch into garg and such, so i figured going bulky would work out. Zapdos punishes contact from u-turn and is generally a decent phys wall into certain things. Heatran is our rocks setter and super fairy and ice resist, just dont send it into an ep or smth.
I got a replay vs d gym teacher. won with zapdos hax though icl

Go ham with the teams and have an amazing Christmas

mcribs happy holidays to a fellow Samurott BO enjoyer!
:samurott-hisui: :volcanion: :scizor: :hydrapple: :moltres: :great_tusk:

I kinda struggled finding a final three that completed your Samurott/Hydrapple/Volcanion core but I'm satisfied with this team. Originally I had Moltres Treads Zama but Treads and Zama weren't contributing as much as they should so I settled on Scizor and Ol Reliable Great Tusk.

:samurott-hisui: :hydrapple: :volcanion:
I was familiar with your use of this core via your RMT for the Fickle Hearts, but I wanted put a spin on the core. I realized Samurott's checks are usually defensive and complete Specs Steam Eruption fodder like Alomomola :alomomola:, Corviknight :corviknight:, and Weezing :weezing-galar:. Flip Turn is usually only seen on Scarf sets but AV Samurott can leverage its bulk vs targets like Gholdengo :Gholdengo:, Darkrai :Darkrai:, and Choiced Dragapult :dragapult: to pivot on the defensive switch in and bring in Specs Volcanion. spikes pressure helps Volcanion break special walls like AV Glowking :slowking-galar: and AV Mola :alomomola: and Specs Volcanion is a massive threat to Samurott's defensive checks. it's a match made in heaven.

Hydrapple :hydrapple: is here not only to complete the core, but also to serve as the mandatory Ogerpon Wellspring :ogerpon-wellspring: check should you click Steam Eruption into it. this mon is usually enough but Wellspring is not known for being easily stopped by things such as checks. sometimes you just lose anyway. it also serves as a nice Gliscor :Gliscor: switch in, which both Samurott and Volcanion don't want to directly switch into. typical nasty plot set.

:samurott-hisui: :volcanion: :hydrapple:
look at this core. then look at Kyurem :kyurem:. then look back at your core. then notice that Kyurem can easily come in to cause absolute havoc. I think the hardest part of building bulky offense is fitting a Kyurem check that lasts longer than 2 hits without being passive af. introducing AV Scizor :Scizor:

Scizor is low-key my bandaid solution to teams weak to Fairies or Kyurem. slap that bad boy on there and U-Turn for life. it only later occurred to me that Scizor brings in the same checks as Samurott while also being able to fit Knock Off. so actually that was intentional synergy.

Moltres :Moltres: was my original Kyurem check because it can 1v1 Subtect with Roar. I still felt unsafe though so I added AV Scizor. Moltres is a good second check to Kyurem but also the main check to Zama :zamazenta:, Dragonite :Dragonite:, Kingambit :Kingambit:, Iron Valiant :iron_valiant:, and Tusk :great_tusk:. God this mon is so good. I choose not to run Wisp because I hate Wisping things and then they continue to setup. I'd rather Roar them out. U-Turn because there's never enough pivots and Samurott loves being brought in on Glowking and Ting Lu :Ting_Lu:.

:great_tusk:
This guy is literally just here for Stealth Rocks, Rapid Spin, and preventing Kingambit and Raging Bolt :raging_bolt: from being silly. there is no elaborate synergy, just mister number one doing what it always does. this one is Stone Edge because Zapdos :Zapdos: uniquely cooks the entire team and this is my copium. feel free to run whatever though.

hope you enjoy the team! some tips
- :Zapdos: Zapdos theoretically beats the entire team. so far I have managed to avoid an opponent that realizes this but you could consider Timid Volcanion to outspeed it if they invest to reach 240 speed. this is why I originally had Treads only to realize Treads doesn't do anything to Zapdos either.
- :gliscor: Tera Normal Gliscor can 1v1 Hydrapple if you fumble. don't let it do that. you could change Hydrapple's Tera to better check it idk
- :Dragapult: Dragapult is really scary when you don't know if Samurott can check it or not. be careful not to lose Samurott to Choice Band U-Turn
- :Glimmora: this mon is so annoying when you don't have a faster special attacker or a Poison type to absorb Toxic Spikes. pray for the best vs Glimmora teams
- all the Teras on this team can be customized to better fit another matchup (as well as Moltres, Tusk, and Scizor coverage moves). I'd recommend making something Tera Ghost to provide a spin blocker since we don't have one. Not sure what the best Tera is for Volcanion and Hydrapple, I just made Volcanion Tera Poison for strong Sludge Bombs and Hydrapple Tera Fairy for a good neutral type.

Hello Mada , here is my attempt at the team you wanted! I went for AV Rillaboom and Cornerpon to help support Specs Dengo to provide chip healing and reduce EQ damage, with WishFish Mola for longevity support and Glowking for SpDef. Cornerpon gives you a great lead into all weather teams and, if played correctly, the team should have sufficient longevity with Wish+ terrain recovery. It is a little lacking on the Hazard control front so need to be a bit cognizant of that.
Zama rounds out the team for speed control and a Gambit answer but offensive Tusk probably works too along with double priority.

Only autoloss I encountered is Ursaluna, keep Rillaboom alive and you're good to go; You may have to switch a little unpredictably but I hope the team has good bones on it!

pixelpenguin Merry Christmas from the North (or South) Pole!

:weavile: :great-tusk: :slowking-galar: :goodra-hisui: :landorus-therian: :moltres: <- click for paste

The original core requested was Life Orb Weavile. In terms of core ideas, that's honestly a really good one. I didn't have any LO Weavile teams in my builder, but there was enough spark to surround it with enough support to fill the rest in. Hazard support is not optional, so I added my personal favorite Great Tusk set to absorb attacks from Zamazenta and Kingambit that give Weavile fits. Glowking made a ton of sense in slot 3 to absorb Toxic Spikes, provide easy pivoting with Chilly Reception, and Future Sight support. Goodra-Hisui in the fourth slot didn't come right away to me, but once I looked through my builder and realized its ability to check special attackers plus Ogerpon-W, I added it. The clincher for Goodra-Hisui was the ability to use Heavy Slam to handle Calm Mind Hatterene. Moltres and Landorus-Therian are additional pivots to get Weavile in early and often. Those are my "standard" EV spreads for both. Landorus-Therian's spread gets past Zamazenta's Substitutes regardless of Iron Defense boosts and outpaces Raging Bolt, while Moltres has enough Special Attack for 2HKOing Corviknight and enough Speed for outpacing Kingambit. I hotfixed in Triple Axel after going on Santa's naughty list (the irony, I know). In testing, the supporting cast gave enough opportunities for Weavile to poke holes through opposing teams so that they came home with a lump of coal.
