Ok I have to ask because I want to know why you all want this so bad. What is it that is keeping random 1v1s from existing? What people are preventing you from having this ladder? I personally don't see why this is so impossible when for our side this is our one and only chance of bringing change to gen 9 before it ends. I genuinely just want to know why and hear your side of the story.

don’t assume we are enemies. it is not that we all don’t want solgaleou. this is a strength of force backed by the weight of our tier, our community, our unity all compiled onto one grand effort to share our wonderful 1v1 tier with everyone. the 1v1 randbats ladder team’s goal is to spread immense joy through the holiday season and elevate our tier for the public to enjoy. finally, the more people who play this beautiful ladder we have proposed in this like shop may come enjoy our wonderful tier after it is removed.
Now listen that is cool and all but that is not my question lmao. What is it that is keeping random 1v1s from existing? What made this community need likeshop for the ladder to exist?
Like the issue for us is that this is our only chance of bringing change to gen 9 OU before Champions and very few people are going to care about it after the Champions meta begins.
Your question has less importance than our desire as a community to once again try to bring 1v1 back to being an official tier (not teamtour facing, but being recognized by tiering policy as official). To me, pushing to win a battle like this shows the desire of our community to make movements together and hopefully become more visible throughout all of Smogon.
It is not about the result but of the motion and how we came together to try and win. Ggs and best of luck next year.
Replies such as this only make people not want to support SolgaleOU. Just let people support what they want, dude. It's basic psychology that people don't like people telling them what to do, especially from people they don't know.
They can support what I want but I just had a question. I wasn't saying the idea was bad or anything I just wanted an answer to my question. Is that really that bad?
Saying “this can be a ladder without the likeshop” is, even if true, really uncool and flippantly disregards an entire community on smogon who wants to pool their likes together to create something to showcase to a broader community. I for one would love to play this because it’d seem like a fun side grade to challenge cup 1v1.
