Gen 6 Dragonite for Victory (Dragonite + Victini Band BO)

How I came up with the idea for the team

This team plays around a Choice Band Victini which can break enemy walls to allow Dragonite to sweep. These two Pokemons offer a good switch-in on Mega Charizard Y which can be rather difficult to take for a bulky offense.

Mega Diancie allows you to better manage Flying Spam, Mega Charizard X without Earthquake and helps to better manage entry hazards in order to better be able to keep Multiscale from Dragonite.
Protect lets Diancie Mega Evolve safely and circumvent its low Speed before Mega Evolution. Protect also serves a number of other purposes, helping Diancie effectively scout Choice item users such as Azumarill, Landorus-T, and Weavile, discerning whether Mega Medicham carries Bullet Punch, and forcing mind games with Mega Lopunny's High Jump Kick.
Moonblast is there for Fairy-type STAB and Diamond Storm is for physical Rock-type STAB to better hit special walls.
Earth Power allows you to hit Steel-type Pokémon.

Timid Nature

It's a very good threat to consider.
It's the best Pokémon with Choice Scarf, and it can also switch into many threats like Bisharp or Tyranitar.
Scald is there for its accuracy and because its burn is excellent in Gen 6.
Hydro Pump allows it to hit harder.
Secret Sword is its Fighting-type STAB move, allowing it to avoid being blocked by Pokémon like Chansey.

Besides, Magnezone isn't a problem for him at all.

Whimsicott is a fairly original addition allowing you to switch to Fighting-type Pokémon like Lopunny-Mega or Keldeo or Pokémon like Azumarill.
In addition to its Fairy-type STAB,
U-turn is there for the pivot,
Stun Spore allows you to paralyze an opposing threat as a priority and Encore allows you to block the opponent, for example, on a non-offensive attack.
The investment in bulk allows you to hold 2 Return of Lopunny-Mega.
The 8 EVs in speed allow Pokémon to outspeed base 85 speed with an offensive nature.

hey,
thanks for another rmt.

I like the idea of using Choice Band Victini. It is a super strong wallbreaker, yet I always found it difficult to make teams with it work.

Mega Diancie is the ideal partner in my opinion and having another rocks removal with Excadrill is great.
The SpD invested Drill really fits well in that, giving you all the utility necessary.
Combining it with Dragonite is a good idea. It synergyzes well with the strong Hazard removal/ Magic Bounce and gives good extra resistances, thanks to its Dragon and Flying-type.
Keldeo gives security against Bisharps and extra protection against HO Teams, maybe even more important it helps with sand teams, which seem to be the biggest threat to this team.
Including Whimsicott is definitively a cool idea. I can see Encore being very usefull in many situations and the nickname fits perfectly.

Overall really nicely build team. One maybe threat are Sand Teams, since you have limited switches against them. It is a bit the downside of including a Pokemon like Whimsicott.
This build is very offensive and facing offenses with Rotom-W or Zapdos, you for sure have to stay on your tows to not lose momentum. As many other teams this is also threatend by Thundurus, so beating those structures might be quite the challenge.
