nominating AbrarS for this position. He is the greatest ad-libber to ever grace the ou room with his presence. He is simply unmatched in one-liner skill. He will personally carry you on his shoulders (stacked three high) as you cross the street. I have never once seen him actually play a game of pokemon but he's somehow always online. this the goat.

Hi everyone, as like in every official teamtours, I will give my thoughts on some Team Africa players, who inned SPL.

Silent Waltz He gained enough experience since 2024, this year he made a few performances, 4-3 in NPL, 3-1 in EPL, round 13 of the OU Winter SSNL, all that leading to an OUPL where he did 3-3. In addition, he also has the experience of Official Teamtours, he played 2 WCOP, for Team Africa, finishing this year with a 2-2. He's a dedicated team member, and was building his own teams in WCOP.

HSK7 Severly underated ORAS OU player, He did very recently excellent perfs, going from all the ORAS invit play-ins to the play-offs, moreover he qualified in the ORAS circuit (11th place), and went in semis. As like Silent Waltz, he played 2 WCOPs, and was playing his own teams, he also did 7-1 in ADPL, despite ORAS being a tough tier to get drafted in, I believe HSK deserves it given his recent performances.

KeshBa54 I think it's one of the most versatile player I know, Keshba has been playing three tiers at a really good level this year. First SV, where he went 3-1 in WCOP, (4-3 cumulated in 2 years), he also did 4-3 in BLT, 3-3 in HPL. He also had performances in RBY, he played RBYPL and finished 4-3, and went 3-0 in RCOP qualif. More importantly, he's been involved in GSC this year, he qualified for the GSC Circuit thanks to a GSCLT perf, where he qualified and went Round 2, in that GSC Circuit he went Top 8 (while beating Siatam), he also won GSCPL. Additionnally he did 3-0 in both DPPWC and ADVWC. Keshba is a tryharder, and he achieved to accomplish great things overtime, I really think he's able to get nommed in this tournament.

That being said, that's all for me inchAllah yall get picked, and maybe more ? We will see :boatogostandode:
 
Merry Christmas, my beloved Smogon community. As per usual, I'm grateful to all the people I've met here throughout the years. Playing tournaments on this site brought me so much joy back then, and although times have changed and I don't think I can keep up anymore, it's a part of my life I treasure.

I hope you all get lots of cool presents today and get to spend it with your loved ones.

Spread joy today, but tomorrow you guys better keep it up with the epic shittalking and beef, or I'll be disappointed.
 
I've been playing competitively since 2014 , know gens 3 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 really well . Would love to play for a team trophy one time if given opportunity . Anyone reading this I appreciate it a lot thank you . If not i'll grind and try to get my name out there for future team tournaments . I'd love to be able to help my friends on the big stage . - Remedy

Didn't think I would post here, but just wanted to drop a recommendation for my day 1 DKM Extremely solid and versatile player. Taught him during ORAS/SM cg and he's gone farther than any of us could have expected. Definitely think he's worth a look.

In other news, if you draft me for 3k you will get: an active member of your teamcord, help with tests for any fairy gen, building help for gens 7 and 9, and the best sub of all time for SM especially.
 
The Best Support I’ve Ever Been Given
My Experience with DKM

I signed up for masters because a few people from my friend group had as well. I had almost no experience in gens 6-8. I had a lucky first couple of rounds and ended up with a solid early record. DKM pushed me to actually try to see how far I could go and gave me support every step of the way. Every single week he would look at scout and set me up for success with teams that were solid into some of my opponent’s common tendencies. Every single week he had constructive criticism to give me about my play. I ended my run 7-3 losing a very close game 3 of week 10. It was a blast and I attribute a lot of that success to DKM. I am incredibly grateful for the amount of effort he put into helping me despite having nothing to personally gain. I highly recommend someone gives him a chance for his one of a kind SM support, strong piloting ability, and incredibly positive community presence.

Proftreez Probably one of the most influencial builders in recent years. Even though some teams are overcooked, or some squads which can be just piloted by hisself, his builds are overly great (founder of DMC base version). Especically in the current volatile meta, strong building skills are a great advantage. In addition Treez is also a strong player, as shown by a solid 6-2 SMPL record.

Kyo Some people call them "psychopath" and honestly I understand the reason. Kyo is a really "aggressive" player, who has still somehow consistency in their results. In addition, the builds are just crazy, probably too crazy sometimes, so maybe there should be some teammembers/manager who just stops them sometimes. But yeah overall really strong results: last year 8-1 OUPL, this year win of SM cup and finalist of Rising Stars. I think with the right teammates/managers Kyo can just be a beast.

Tenebricite As Always already said Tenebricite is a really solid fairy gen player, who can easily play in all masters tiers if needed, showed in a good top 16 Masters run (in my opinion he had the potential to win the whole thing, he made top 32 last year asw). In SM particularly, I think he is a great pilot who maybe needs more support than the other players in the list and is also a bit one sided, but paired with some good builders, he can surely perform, and also flex in other tiers, if needed.

Brandonlee1 Honestly I hate and love your overconfidence at the same time. When Brandon preps seriously, he is a really strong player. Over the past year, he has adapted his team choices a lot and made clear improvements. I think managers should watch Brandon´s replays and see how consistent his gameplay in general is. His masters out was really unfortunate and even if he doesn´t have the big results in the bigger sm team tours like SMPL or OUPL (just in Tours like Bangla PL) he has some individual results like winning the SM Winter Seasonal that confirms his ability as a player.

Fdmw One of the rising SM players. I think Kyrius made really big steps within this year. Especically his game planning improved a lot, shown in really good SMPL (5-1) and OUPL results (5-0). Moreover, Kyrius is a good builder, including a lot of interesting techs in his builds, which can be really helpful for SPL. I think the combination between being a really solid player and the building dedication can be a reason to perform well in SPL.

In general, I wanted to show good potential newcomers. Some great sm players like Chiharu, GeniusX and Tace should be drafted for sure. I am looking forward to the SPL and all the coverage. :)
