Project Secret Santa (Sign-ups closed)

thanks lily, i kinda cant tell (with love).

Merry christmas hybone, i got here the terablast flying mudbray team you wanted!
:mudbray::mienfoo::glimmet::foongus::vullaby::elekid:
It is the most normal looking thing in the world, but thats kinda the point.
View attachment 796006
The general idea of the team is that using terablast flying mudbray as a lure for toedscool or foongus will give a way for one or some of the following possible win conditions: elekid or spikes if toed dies, and mienfoo or tspikes if foongus dies. Using mudbray early to generate momentum and lure stuff in will ease the path for your other, more conventional wincons, while its a set so unexpected in a very normal team, giving it more chances to succeed.

:mudbray::glimmet::mienfoo: This is the core i started building with. With this mudbray set, i knew i couldnt rely on it to do proper defensive value, as terastilizing to a flying type makes it weak to electric types and to rocks. Thus, a second vullaby answer was needed, entering glimmet. Glimmet has the additional advantage of setting both spikes and tspikes up, which has really good synergy with the lure mudbray set you gave me, as whenever toedscool dies, spikes will go uncontested vs ttm teams, and whenever foongus dies, most teams wont be able to remove the toxic spikes.
:foongus::vullaby: These two were the second core of mons to be added. They fit the team by giving you a fighting and a ground/psychic resist respectively, adding a ton for the defensive synergy of the team, helping against pokemon such as mienfoo, gothita, chinchou and diglett alola. They may look nothing special, but that nothingness is the key to succeed here: the team has to look normal in order for the lure to work, and also they are used in pair for a reason, as they work incredibly together with mudbray and mienfoo.
:elekid: For the last mon, it was obvious i needed something fast and capable of cleaning once damage has been dealt. Elekid felt like the perfect pokemon for this role: it is the fastest pokemon in the metagame, it benefits incredibly from both spikes to get stuff in range of its moves and toedscool dying, as it is one of its biggest roadblocks. I chose the terablast grass set because i needed a much better matchup into chinchou, admitting i dont need knock off that badly if i lay down spikes. This set also helps against opposing mudbrays, which could be hard to take down otherwise. I figure having two terablasts isnt a huge deal, since their targets tend to not team up, instead fitting different roles in very different teams.
Beating LeJames Chonk, whos using a larvesta team. I didn't end up using my tera, which means mudbray couldve very much used it to ko gothita and avoid its death. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2505727273-gq0rrncclnsvgu7cckq8qrd7btqsgi2pw?p2
Using the teraflying to beat turtwigmygoat, who was rocking another secret santa team. Team was able to beat down toed even without mudbrays help, which allowed me to use its tera to beat a late game scarf mienfoo. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2505728653-i3jryuf2x6d37c420hv6y383bu1g5xkpw?p2
Tera grass elekid being incredible against xonks team with foongus, elekid and trapinch. Spikes and offensive play from mudbray made this matchup easier to play, and terablast elekid, with help from spikes and smart play, was able to beat even a trapinch. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2505729951-j29hv3k75r8tk1ujikldy5go5wyeaagpw?p2
woah woah now conveniently ignored the hjk miss in the synopsis this is anti turtwig #propaganda

happy holidays LilyAC, this is quite possibly the funniest prompt i could've gotten (happy and smiley pokemon for those curious)

There's actually quite a few options for happy LC mons but I avoided some truly unviable picks and on the nose ones (Happiny for both....) and present to you something that is curated and probably viable if you're heysupbrained enough. Feel free to edit as you wish but the general gist is strong special attackers (with great smiles) and some hazard support but really it's a showcase of six cute happy mons and I think that's what you wanted to see so here you go :)

(yes i ordered them by increasing smile)

:croagunk: :shroodle: :riolu: :buizel: :psyduck: :wattrel:
here you go xonks !
you asked for a croagunk team in a gen with evio, because i mainly play sv and would be able to test the most in there, i made it in sv

building process:

:croagunk: the beginning mon obviously, there are only 3 sets to this, poison touch 4A, np vwave on balance, or np dry skin on rain to help vs foongus, i decided to go the rain route and really do my best to counter foongus with it by putting safety goggles onto it, it also helps vs grookey with its grassy glide resist

:shroodle:
premier rain setter, normal spread but tghost over tgrass as a foongus answer not needed as much

:riolu:
the other good rain setter, normal set helped win a game here or there

:buizel:
the BEST rain abuser by far, under rain not much lives (only chinchou, mareanie, other bulky water resists), one of the mons to go to right after you set up rain

:psyduck:
another good rain setter, tblast grass was helpful for vs chinchous and could allow you to setup vs foongus on a spore/giga drain turn, but psychic tera psychic could also be used with substitute (hint - call out twater with tb grass if its obvious) tb grass also helps defensively vs grookey

:wattrel:
the last mon, i needed something for elekid and other electric types, and this was perfect, it has strong attacks in hurricane, thunder, and weather ball, as well as it being able to bail you out of games at times, chinchou can also be used (likely with agility then) but i like wattrel more for it's strong attacks and resistance to grassy glide

THREATS:

:snover: :sandshrew-alola:
snow - terrible matchup due to them having an auto weather setter and you not having one, use wattrel to try and KO their snover if it's not scarf, you may have to play a sac war, twater wattrel to wall sandshrew can also be useful, copycatting their earthquake with shroodle is another option

:mareanie:
more of everything is walled by it, only wattrel can hit it super effectively (and croagunk but even after a nasty plot it does weak damage) so if you see a mareanie, keep wattrel, (or get enough chip so when it comes in next time tb grass after a NP ko's it), but buizel does also 2hko it under rain so just never let it stay in

:grookey: :meowth: :nymble:
the 3 of these are also very annoying, but due to being able to revenge KO any pokemon, grookey is likely the most tame as a tera grass on psyduck can help you get a KO on it, while there is no problem with the others using fake out/feint or first impression

replays:
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2506390454-94c28xr0xjoghufh4uwduy2y63wuonkpw?p2 - vs 0 water resist
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2506401145-sf0ck4t6jigl4h6dinfryn93weecpjkpw?p2 - vs 1 water esist
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2506406726-xpaorjjd80lhipb6lbph3sg7g6qjui6pw?p2 - vs snow
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2506410847-536tmerm26yaeculoa35i2iloc7kdo3pw?p2 - vs rain mirror

i wasnt able to get so high as i wanted to due to bad MUs

Secret Santa Charmander for FireShell

Mudbray and Impidimp are our preparing lead pokemon. Impidimp can set the stage for weather setting Shroodle against an offensive lead with damage reducing walls while Mudbray is able to lay down stealth rocks against slower starts. Shroodle will need to be able to switch in multiple times for situational weather sets depending on the enemy composition for the real stars of the show: Charmander and Horsea!

The power behind these two is able to OHKO much of LC with Swift Swim and Choice Scarf ensuring they don't have to worry about being one hit back. Wattrel is able to fill the type gap with Hurricane and electric moves nicely, ensuring constant progress between Impidimp and Shroodle switch ins for resetting weather.

Posting Giove's gift for xzeroxman !

Zeroxman requested Varoom, who walls Foongus with Overcoat and can pivot out with Parting Shot. Mienfoo, Mudbray, and Vullaby form a typical defensive backbone, providing support against Ground-types.

Snubbull is added as an unconventional SV fighting check that benefits from Varoom's excellent Foongus matchup. Snubbul's Thief gives it long-term utility against Vullaby and Mienfoo, and it hits harder than most fighting checks, so it's a fun addition when most structures can't typically fit it.

Finally, Wingull is the team's win condition. Since it is frail, it benefits from Parting Shot support, which grants it more chances to come in. Further, it can blow up typical Varoom switchins like Mudbray, and provides backup support against ground types with its Flying typing.

:varoom: :mienfoo: :mudbray: :snubbull: :vullaby: :wingull:

Merry Christmas emptywisdom!

This team revolves around an offensive structure with Ekans’ utility in Glare & Knock Off to open up opportunities for its set-up partners to be more threatening.

:ekans: - Starting off with the star Pokemon, this set was taken from emptywisdom ‘s own post regarding Ekans in LC’s Metagame Discussion thread. A lot of this team is actually inspired by this post and I do recommend anyone who reads this post to also look through it. To summarize the post, Ekans can use Glare and Knock Off to cripple Pokemon while also providing Intimidate support in a physically dominant metagame and a good Speed tier for the team.

:grookey: - Beginning to build our offensive pieces for the team, I wanted something which could not only hit hard into the majority of the tier but also a Pokémon which could support Ekans and its other teammates. Grookey fits this role well, providing Grassy Terrain to hit Pokémon hard with Wood Hammer, priority in Grassy Glide, and allow Ekans to take hits better with nullifying its Ground weakness while also providing some form of healing for it.

:mienfoo: - John Little Cup. Since this team is going for a more offensive build, I opted for Mienfoo to be one team’s set-up sweepers with Reckless + Swords Dance. Substitute pairs well with Grookey’s Grassy Terrain to slightly heal its HP after using Substitute, as well as Ekans’ Glare to threaten crippled Pokémon that could have faced Mienfoo comfortably.

:drifloon: - After adding Mienfoo, I wanted a special attacker which could compliment it well. I had first considered Nasty Plot Vullaby (which could still be good, it is open for testing if wanted), but I decided to use Calm Mind Drifloon with Grassy Seed to abuse Grookey’s Grassy Terrain. With Psychic, Drifloon is able to take care of Pokémon like Foongus and opposing Mienfoo, which the team could have trouble against.

:tinkatink: - At this current stage of teambuilding, the team had a definite problem against Vullaby. Therefore we added one of Vullaby’s best checks onto the team that could also provide some hazard control for our teammates. 212+ Speed & Encore was opted over Tinkatink’s main set to out speed Vullaby’s which run 15 Speed, specifically NP Vull to cripple it when it sets up on switch in.

:chinchou: - Finally, I added Chinchou as the last member of the team for its Electric-immunity that helps against matchups such as Elekid and opposing Chinchou, easing up matchups into Hisuian Growlithe and Wingull, as well as pairing with Grookey to form a VoltTurn core allowing for the team to safely set up and provide offensive pressure.

ts is fire! I love the double weather a lot. Can I ask what t punch and tera fairy on charm is for?

Hello Agera , hope your doing well in this holiday seasson.

I see that you asked for either one of the 2 mons to build for Christmas, so I decided to build a team with both!

Without further a do, let me introduce the teams:

Scarf :froakie: https://pokepast.es/e5b18eb2e6a69401

So, froakie was kindda awkward to build around. The Mon does not have a speed to be a lorb sweeper, does not have the bulk to be a evio pivoter and does not have too much firepower.

After Scrambling for a while, I realized that the best way to use froakie was with a utility scarf option. Due to his limited coverage, having a option to use him as bait for walls, and take away their item, or maybe using him as a late game breaker with tera water surf was the best way I could fit him here.

:mienfoo: is 15 speed defensive for one simple reasson: without a proper defensive water, you definitely want a bulkier core to switch into things.
That is also why :mudbray: is a defensive variant: I needed something to switch into elekid more reliably, while beign a rocker for the team

You notice a lot of tera waters in the team, that is normal when u don't have a proper water to check shellder. Just be careful with the mudbray tera, u can get 6-0'ed by elekid if you are not carefully.

Second team:

:wooper: https://pokepast.es/43b076ac4ddff290

So, this is a very interesting one. I will talk about the man in the hour first.

So what does wooper do best? He can be a rocker or a spiker, he is a wall to some very scary treaths. He walls no spears shellder, main big thing, he was h-dig, he walls mare (and tanks well from ice beam mare), he checks elekid and salazzle. That sounds great on papper, but you soon run into a big problem called mienfoo.

Having to deal with mienfoo with wooper is very strange. You can just add foo Gus sure, but then the team becomes way too defensive. It is bad to have 2 slow defensive mons like this, because you will easily get steamrolled. To get around this problem, here is what I did

First, to address the mienfoo problem, I called in :gothita: . It seems weird to have suck a offensive option with a team with a Mon like wooper, but the idea is that she will be able to handle and eliminate the 2 most annoying treaths to the team: foongus and foo. If it doesn't, she can force a tera, and allow for ur own foo to be a good check of it. Admittedly, tera water is kindda ass to deal with, but it should be fine.

Wasting tera also helps for :wingull: endgames. The earlier they waste tera, the better it is for us.

Next slot is very Interesting. I was wondering if I should go with glimmet here as a vull check, since the team overall needs it rn, but I think the :tinkatink: is a better choice, considering we have 2 waters already on the team. You could change around if you feel like poison types are ruining your day

So, to end it off, some notes:

I know the team has a spike stack element to it, but defog vull felt very nice here, to get rid of tspikes and rocks for wingull. It will be definitely situational, but it can come in clutch if needed

If you make the glim>tink change, defog vull might not be needed, but it is still nice for the rocks on wingull

I tried building around with body slam Woop, but it didn't felt like a good choice. Everytime u think you should be clicking slam, you realize that spikes are more valuable

And that is it. Hope you enjoy the teams, and have a good 2026!

Happy holidays Zpice!

You asked for a non-rain based Pysduck team.

It was quite troubling as, while Psyduck has an interesting movepool, I do think rain is where it shines the most. I decided to go for a support build because a pure offensive one would be outclassed by Poliwag.
Team: :psyduck: - :growlithe: - :glimmet: - :mienfoo: - :toedscool: - :mareanie:

The moveset aims to help Growlithe-H and Offensive Mareanie win by chipping their counters.
Hydro Pump over surf to get the clear OHKO on Mudbray and Glimmet, Psychic Noise/Psychic is an amazing complimentary coverage move, Psychic is for more damage, Psychic noise can block Foongus Giga Drain and Mareanie/Shellos Recover, Knock Off is always amazing, Vacuum Wave is interesting to pick up some kills such as chipped Growlithe-H and Diglett-A. It also deals with a Sandshrew-A that might have gone out of hands. Its abilities are not really useful, Cloud Nine is annoying to the ladder snow spammers, Swift Swim might annoy rain users slightly more but you'll rarely see either come into play.
You can also always go with Sub Nasty Plot Tera Steel water+psy if you wish.

This one is pretty much troll team, PsyNoise trolls Foongus, Skill Swap trolls Chinchou when in rain, everything else is just generic HO stuff.

Happy new year!

Merry Crimmis genisu!!

Delibird told me you wanted to be shrouded by the Christmas Spirit, so I cooked up a screens team to help you start the New Year on a win!

Here was the process:

-There are only 2 good screen setters imo & one that is usually best. So :Impidimp: is the first on the squad!

-Next we a setup sweeper that is agnostic of the enemy team. :Corphish: does just that. Dragon dance is generically good letting us boost speed & attack, knock off makes progress, crabhammer can steal games early with a crit on a switch & priority in aqua jet gives us flexibilty in team building.

-Next was how do we add some spice to the team? :chingling: with levitate & tera electric is a fun screens abuser with cosmic power and recover, sadly this did not make the final version as it was a tad too passive, but I wanted to included it as the fun version: https://pokepast.es/9d50522469a2c3f8

- Next we want something that is a bit tricky, :Mienfoo: is a super flexible mon that can run standard sets, bulk up trailblaze, sub SD & scarf all pretty decently on screens. Since foongus is so far threating us pretty well (sludge for imp, giga for corphish, sleep for ching) We can use tera steel sub SD to bait foongus'.

-I would like to have access to hazards & hazard control as well as some tech for vullaby. :Toedscool: with Dgleam (dropping knock since we have 2 alread) help us with hazards as well as giving us a ground type. I opt for no spikes here knowing that I want to pair it with :Glimmet: as are dedicated hazards which also does well into vull.

-The team is fine & while :chingling: is spicy and fun, the team is lacking some cohesiveness as well as a bit of immedate pressure and speed... Fiiiine, we can drop Ching and throw on a upgrade. Welcome :Vullaby: to the team! We all know how good NP Vull can be, and it's an excellent screens abuser so it only makes sense. I opt for endure + Tera blast ground to round out the offensive coverage and utility of the team.

The Final Squad: https://pokepast.es/7001435222349d87
Chingling Version: https://pokepast.es/d8627b3f881021bb
I hope you like it

hello Coconut sorry for the delay because i'm still on a trip but Santa has arrived.

you asked for an oldgen team with any pokemon from my fav gen. unsure which is my fav oldgen rn but I'll pick 2 from which i have teams of underused mons.

I'll start with a SM team. It was this past lpl, hacker and greedy put me in ndlc lol and greedy said "whatever works in sm works here, one time i brought rock blast oma to beat abra". well i did not do much innovation that tour but i built a team on this idea later.

:sv/timburr::sv/foongus::sv/ponyta::sv/abra::sv/gastly::sv/omanyte:

pretty standard team trying to enable smash oma. timburrrrr especially when you get the correct elemental punch is just so good. sleep merchant. burn merchant. sash merchant. i love scarf gastly because you get revenge kills even on setup mons and escape trapping too. and finally rock blast oma.

This one is called TYRANNY
:sv/tyrunt::sv/croagunk::sv/cottonee::sv/vullaby::sv/diglett::sv/chinchou:

i love tyrunt but the guy is hard to use and it does not see much usage in the 'serious' teams in the meta. I started with Tyrunt and Croagunk as they pair well and added Cottonee for setup support. Defensive overcoat vull solves some defensive holes. Diglett is just cheap and lets you tackle atleast one mon to make the endgame easier. Chinchou does chinchou things (gale wings too good), pivot around and scald fishing.

https://pokepast.es/cdc3213d877c0d91
Team-building Approach:
First,I examined Sandygast's movepool and discovered that it can learn Hypnosis, a very powerful move. As a result, I decisively opted for a Sandygast equipped with Hypnosis, complemented by three solid moves: Stealth Rock, Earth Power, and Shore Up. Though Vullaby and Toedscool might appear to fully counter Sandygast, they can be put to sleep when switching in. The Tera Steel typing could serve as a countermeasure against Shellder, as its ability Water Compaction makes it less susceptible to even Shellder's Liquidation. I invested 1 speed to outspeed Foongus.

Next, I needed to address the team's defensive shortcomings. The most obvious issue was that the Sandygast lineup struggles to counter Vullaby effectively, so I included Chinchou and Glimmet as two checks for Vullaby. Additionally, Glimmet can set Spikes, while Sandygast's Ghost typing allows it to block Rapid Spin. Following this, a spore-block mon was required, so I chose Toedscool, which can also benefit from Vullaby being put to sleep. Due to the presence of Toxic Spikes, I opted for a Substitute set on Mienfoo. Finally, the two Tera Ghost types on the team can also block Rapid Spin after Sandygast faints.

I played five matches with this team against my friends and ended up with a 4-1 record. I feel this team turned out surprisingly effective and is quite well-structured.

Merry Christmas Fernanch!
Yooo, I didn't saw it first, but thank you, the team looks fire. Hypnosis is such an interesting approach to him, really well built!

merry (late) christmas ambipongus, I was away and had to test my abomination of a team but I’m proud to present your clauncher team that somehow works kinda!

https://pokepast.es/fa27ec0327ea9132

Clauncher is the centerpiece ofc with scarf to enable it to actually hit things before getting blown up, with rain and tera water boosted water pulse which rips through a lot of things, I also tested tera dragon for defense and to boost dpulse which is unresisted by pretty much everything and it works about as well after extensive ladder testing so up to you.

Shroodle acts as tech to enable rain and do general support (even though probably not optimal I wanted clauncher to be as supported as possible), and Horsea acts as the other rain user and works very nicely in tandem with Clauncher.

Vull does its standard pivot vull business, nothing to be said there, same with Foongus, best tank support I found which was pretty necessary.

Band foo is there literally just for the shock factor and since the team is for fun there’s nothing more fun than dropping a banded reckless hjk into a tink or vull switch :)

You made me reach deep into my bag with this one

:sv/cranidos::sv/growlithe-hisui::sv/glimmet:
Introducing
Rock Spam

:sv/mienfoo::sv/koffing::sv/vullaby:
This team is based around the strongest pokemon in the tier, being Growlithe-Hisui and Cranidos. They tend to bring the same pokemon in and therefore they smack it for the other one to finish off later. Koffing is used to counter Regenerator strategies and Mienfoo/Vullaby provide Knock Off Support for both.

This team may seem unserious at first but it has deep lines against many common teams. Requires good clicking and is therefore not an easy-to-pilot team. I hope you enjoy it!! Merry christmas.

Ok so apparently i read the prompt wrong. Sorry about that. I built another team.
:grimer-alola::koffing::glimmet::foongus::vullaby::shroodle:
This one is considerably worse.
Thanks so much, this is great :) and dw about the prompt it was already interesting enough, both are teams are v cool

:tyrunt: Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year BlackKnight_Gawain! :tirtouga:

https://pokepast.es/8400b5637d1dd504

:mienfoo: Debated between Fast/Slow Foo here, but ultimately Fast made more sense to outspeed otherwise problematic pokemon like Pawniard in a pinch.

:tyrunt: Don't have a ton to say on this guy other you can tweak the coverage moves to your liking. Building this guy before Gen 8 is rough with all the moveset changes they get then.

:tirtouga: Ended up dropping Shell Smash on this guy in favor of an offensive utility set. Aqua Jet combined with all the physical bulk makes Tirtouga hard to trap with Diglett.

:diglett: Air Balloon Diglett lets you comfortably counter trap Diglett, who would otherwise be a pain for the 2 rock types on the team.

:gothita: To support your Double Rock offense, Gothita can trap problematic pokemon like Mienfoo and Foongus. Really lets your guys go to town considering the dubious matchups against some of the most common defensive pieces.

:foongus: Foongus as your Fighter resist made sense given the lack of an urgent need for another Vullaby switch in and how rough Water types may otherwise be. HP Fire helps cover for Ferroseed who may otherwise give this team a hard time.

Posting this for mmtaccos Mok3s, happy holidays.

https://pokepast.es/507a2549d36bef9d, introducing a red-green-red pattern in dpp. I helped with this a little (mmtaccos did the large majority of building.), but there were not a lot of pokemon to work with.
:worrycargo:

:Voltorb:: Voltorb is by far the best lead option here, and getting a boom on chinchou is really good.

:bronzor:: bronzor is definitely the best support option as a steel type, so it was going to either take advantage of Toxic Spikes with Recycle + Calm Mind or set Rocks. Here, it is setting sun because its teammates need it.

:Magby:: Magby has the best base speed and a good movepool to take advantage of it. Being able to hit munchlax or damage Gligar is necessary for the cleaners in the back.

:Bellsprout:: Bellsprout is one of the main cleaners that takes advantage of sun. It's also critical to keep around for Chinchou.

:Charmander:: This is where the constraints of using red and green Pokemon really matter. Charmander can benefit from sun and has a good speed tier for a scarf user, but needs Munchlax gone to profit. Some of the water types are better in a vacuum, but setting sun combined with them losing to other water types makes them not as good.

:spinarak:: Spinarak has a cool movepool, getting toxic spikes, bug bite, and sucker punch. It is much more important if CM Bronzor is used instead of sun, but as is it is very useful to accelerate the process of chipping Munchlax and water types. On this team, other options are worth considering though. Unfortunately, the other options are as bad.

rahul_3301 merry christmas!, you asked for a bagon team so of course i had to give you screens!
https://pokepast.es/578be7319e246cb1
This is a variation of my famous genisu HO team, which has peaked #1 on ladder, and has been used to great success on suspect ladders, and teamtours!
everything else is basic and usual set
The last mon magby has been swapped out for dd bagon, which has some nice niches with its high attack stat, with a +1 120bp outrage, with sheer force backing it up, can sweep through teams that dont prepare resists, but even the common resists, steel fairy, get punished by strong coverage options, in iron head and brick break with their sheer force and +1 attack boosts. Tera fairy helps vs sucker punches and helps it get setup vs strong pokemon

Spinarak also is the only available mon that checks Machop, as well as providing pivoting, two things I found very important
Happy holidays Mok3s, I tried my best lmao

Merry Christmas turtwigmygoat! My apologies for the delays on the team. You suggested for a team based around Glare Silicobra. This Pokemon is quite fascinating because while it does pose significant competition with Mudbray as a bulky Ground-type, I feel there is a lot of ways you can utilise Silicobra's unique properties, so here is my idea with Silicobra.

:sv/silicobra: AND HERES THE GLARER :sv/silicobra:

Silicobra @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
Level: 5
Tera Type: Water / Steel / Ghost
EVs: 180 HP / 60 Atk / 156 Def / 36 SpD / 68 Spe
Impish Nature
- Glare
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Blast
- Rest / Earthquake

Silicobra poses some unique traits compared to Mudbray that gives it a niche on unique teams. Glare is helpful for paralysing faster threats, and it can open up setup opportunities for certain Pokemon in the tier. Rock Blast is another move unique to Silicobra, making it capable of dealing with Vullaby, and catching Wingull on the switch. The last move has some flexibility. I've opted for Rest in conjunction with Shed Skin to provide it longer durability on the battlefield, but Earthquake is also a good fourth moveslot as it allows you to hit Tinkatink, Mareanie, and Stunky.

Silicobra + Scarf Gothita

(second version with Tera Fire Gothita: https://pokepast.es/701cf3857f8cdb2d)

Some partners of Glare Silicobra that I particularly enjoyed the looks of are Scarf Gothita for trapping Fighting-types, requiring them to force Tera or to lose the Pokemon entirely, and Sub + Swords Dance Mienfoo, utilising the paralysis chance against slower units to setup Substitute, click Swords Dance, and sweep. The rest of the team is filled with relatively standard Pokemon. Vullaby is your blanket offensive pivot with Knock Off and U-Turn. Chinchou functions as a solid answer to Wingull, in which the team struggles to otherwise. Sandshrew-Alola rounds out the team as a solid hazard remover, with Safety Goggles as as a way of deterring Spore from Foongus. Ice Shard is a catch on move for faster threats that get out of control, but you can use Knock Off as well for another option of item control.

Other Ideas
:gothita::mienfoo::chinchou::silicobra::vullaby::bramblin:
https://pokepast.es/1572ca48065b772f - Bramblin has access to alternate priority in Shadow Sneak. While not present on the team, Spikes could be used on Bramblin to enhance Scarf Gothita and Swords Dance Mienfoo's breaking and cleaning capabilities.
:gothita::mienfoo::chinchou::silicobra::vullaby::bramblin:
https://pokepast.es/5ae321aaceb26b9d - I'm starting to go the more crackpot direction, but there's a lot of fishy elements you can utilise Salac Gothita and Scarf Vullaby to good results against someone who often spams Foongus. I would recommend you keep an eye out for Sandshrew-Alola.
:grookey::shellder::sandshrew::mienfoo::silicobra::glimmet:
https://pokepast.es/a2ee30d9ce1a4399 - Don't take this team too seriously. The idea was looking at what kinds of tomfoolery I can pull off and roll them into one. Would recommend testing this first and making tweaks if needed.

Thank you once again for your interest in SV LC, and hope you have a happy new year!
