OM 2025 OM Circuit Championship - Finals [Won by SammyCe123]

4-0 overall predicts, tier specific 12-3

SammyCe123 (GG/STAB) vs Treeko928 (AAA/BH/MnM)
Sammy's AAA game felt messy and almost lost while this is supposedly one of Treeko's mainer tiers. GG should favour Sammy pretty strongly here just off of experience alone. MnM didn't really like Sammy's team but Treeko's game was also messy albeit he managed to get it done, so its close but I'll lean Treeko for this. Sammy had an incredible STAB game, not sure if the team was sus though to fold rather fast initially, but Treeko's lack of Ground resist team into opponent playing into getting swept by Jet Punch is probably worse. Series is pretty close though even though I bolded Treeko 3 times Sammy is probably favoured overall?
BH - Sammy's offenses don't feel like they are him and I think he is going to consider going back to his comfort zone, while Treeko seems to be doing gross stuff. I think if Sammy goes weird playstyle again its going to be wack team and plays will be off while going balance can be exploited by Treeko.

pannu (AAA/GG/MnM/STAB) vs QT (BH)
AAA seem cooked when neither player main the tier we are going to watch pannu hard CT QT webs and QT bringing webs for the 10th time, but maybe QT won't load webs and just win, I think the chances of webs is higher though. GG is pannu's comfort tier should be pretty good. MnM pretty tight, pannu got out of a stall with supposedly some hax (I could not bother clicking through every turn again) but QT got farmed by what next Moongeist Beam so they will lose this next game. STAB pannu autowon with Washer and QT brought mono Mortal removal and couldnt win with good matchup Ursh due to getting turns wrong so leaning pannu I guess.
BH - I did not like either of their teams but in the circumstances QT's was more acceptable idk how pannu can build with a Steelceus and then not prep for it. I think pannu is going to try to CT QT stuff but from my experiences those don't turn out that well, though pannu probably more motivated than previous experiences so who knows.
 
SammyCe123 (GG) vs QT (AAA/BH/MnM/STAB)
AAA - QT put up a stronger performance, you can call it having a good matchup, but Sammy's matchup wasn't bad with Toxic Spikes into a rather TSpike weak team but misreading the Ghold ability and misplaying against it was pretty terrible (go Ting-Lu unless you think its Ground-immune then go Moth and Dance, but maybe hindsight bias I think elec immune is a fair read considering team gets blown up by Hadron stuff like Latios and Deos otherwise).
BH - I don't know what this obsession with Stone Axe Etern is but both players used it and it looks ugly af. QT basically loaded standard QT structure with a Unecro as breaker and a backup wincon in Flutter that I guess provides a degree of defensive utility through revenge killing. I think I dislike QT's team less because Sammy is loading stuff like Take Heart Groundceus and Flip Turn AV Kyogre. Really have not been a fan of Sammy's teams this tour.
GG - QT brought Stall and got mechanic diffed by Self Improof TeraPon, Sammy won but I think might've lost if Treeko's Harc connected? I think Sammy's piloting looked more interesting and this is generally advantage tier for him.
MnM - Maybe I'm bad but I didn't really like Sammy's team it felt like there are too many holes even for an BO team, while QT overall seemed to have an average game though maybe got prepped on slightly. Going to go with QT here.
STAB - Sammy should've lost that STAB game 10/10 times but got completely bailed. QT also lost their game with like one of the most boring looking teams of all time. However considering that Sammy basically lost to a QT team and probably would've lost to what QT brought too because he brought no Washer check outside of Ghold? I think QT is favoured.

Can't be rooting for Sammy after bullying opponent with scheduling for 5 am.

They've been an essential member of the OM community for so many years now, and have served as the backbone for plenty of metagames throughout 4 generations
I have very fond memories of working with them :heart:
I hope that their long lasting and enriching engagement gets rewarded with the yellow ribbon
 
GGs QT, you'll get that well-deserved ribbon eventually. Shoutout to all the wonderful people in this community, was a fun year and it feels awesome to get the 2peat. Now there's only one tour left to win... LET'S GO HEART TAKERS
