Thank you for the kind words boss and you’re a pretty competent player too so I would love to see you drafted.Just wanna s/o some people at DPP community because many are doing on their oldgens and no one has done this in DPP atm.
DazzlingCream, also known as Hugo, is someone I consider an underrated sub steal. He's just not that publicly outspoken much more since he keeps his activity mostly on DPP Discord. Those who have worked with him know how much effort he put in, and I find SPL being a sick ass introduction for him to start. He's capable of building the tier in an in-depth way, and I can see him take anyone if given the opportunity. Easily a nice steal if you want a player that plays and builds for themself(and also good connection with other high/top players to get strong prepping).
pixie909 She's been more consistent and has upped her gameplay since last year, taking strong wins and placing high at individual tours. Would love to see her in SPL, especially since I feel like she carries a strong momentum based on her latest performance on tours and ladder games I had vs her.
Lazuli Free Lazuli in DPP. I don't think he needs any introduction to any managers who paid attention to the DPP scene. I can see him play in SV OU, but Lazuli is always someone I consider a threat against any top players, and his performance at DPP Revival proves that for me. Criminal if he doesn't get drafted.
Mustounet Very competent player who rarely takes bad losses. I'd say he's someone that I consider above average, who is capable of taking games vs most players that have signed up. Would be a nice 3-6k steal to have someone that doesn't need super heavy support since he is capable of building quality teams with strong tournament performance.
TyCarter Typhoon Carter, the man itself. This guy uses way too much time for DPP, like seriously. Those who know him know that he has done insane support to other DPP players in many team tournaments, including SPL itself, without wanting anything back. He hasn't only been grinding DPP from making content, but also actively been in team tournaments and having consistent performance, where he tends to be positive in DPP OU. To say he's dedicated to DPP OU is kinda understatement. That mf has talked to me about anything DPP OU related since 2024, from metatalks to insane prepping for himself or other players. He builds, plays, and puts in mad effort over most people I know, and I hope he gets his chance to be drafted for SPL. I know for sure, though, even if he gets drafted or not, he is on my damn DMs being involved in SPL in one way or another lmao.

Missed Ctown6the rest of the rby community is made up ENTIRELY of bums so it falls to me again to make an effortpost shouting people out
most of last year's pool is Gone (i'm not playing, highly doubt felix and kaz will play, prinz only wants adv, shiloh is hosting, genesis7 is managing) so this should be a great chance to see some new faces
returning guaranteed slots from last year (4): nicole7735, Sceptross, Serpi, and whenever he signs up, chuva de perereca
i dont need to comment on these guys, you know em you love em they will be there
played last year but only some weeks and/or not great record, but probably will start again in a thinner pool (2): Isza, spies
both of these guys take games off the top dogs every so often, but they dont seem to keep a consistent 50%+ wr against them. given the weaker pool they're gonna have a good shot at a solid full season record this time around
my picks to round out the pool (4): BeeOrSomething, GirlsSeeGhosts, Laroxyl, SaDiSTiCNarwhal
bee is overdue an spl shot, hes been perfoming solidly for well over a year. much like isza/spies i wouldnt expect him to hold 50%+ on a long series against a top dog, but he's a very intelligent player with good awareness of how to punish people for stupid scout tendencies, and boy do people love to have stupid scout tendencies in this tier (even the top guys)
gsg is the freshest name here, he leveled up massively in early 2025 and pushed his way to a #1 seed in this year's circuit (2nd place in GC + winner of summer ssnl). i would personally put a tiny bit of a question mark over his ability to fight top players just cuz he hasn't really played them much in a tournament setting yet, he got michael mouse opponents for most of rbypl etc. but given how consistently he kills said michael mice, you have to expect he'd do solid here
laroxyl is the 2024 ribbon winner, who for some reason was not picked up by anyone who needed an rbyer last year, and he ended up in sv jail. but he can take anybody in a classic 150 turn rby game, he's a long game specialist and if he's smart in the builder to create those gamestates consistently he can take down anyone and everyone (as he did in 2024)
narwhal is overdue another shot after his first outing in SPL XII, it's kinda weird he never got picked up again ever tbh. he's a solid player. he hasn't really massively leveled up since, but with the pool this weak and empty, it'd be foolish to overlook him. fresh off an RBYPL 7-1 with wins over other spl candidates such as isza and laroxyl, his baseline's good enough and he's in good shape, i think he should make the cut again.
other specialists that could be reasonable (2): oligen1, LNumbers
oligen1 was the third seed in this year's circuit, another player with a very unique style. now the problem with "unique styles" in rby is that usually they are just unoptimal and highly exploitable by people who know what they're doing at a high level, so while oli's results vs. the general field (seasonals etc) are solid, i think he's more vulnerable to getting exploited by the top players compared to the other candidates i listed. but this is plausibly a matter of opinion/interpretation/philosophy, if you like rest exeggutor draft this guy and let's see what happens
lnumbers is back after a bad spl a couple years back, and a longish break from rby. he's had some good showings and some not as good ones since coming back. realistically his situation is not dissimilar from something like narwhal's, i personally would not draft him because i wasn't moved by his gameplay watching him recently, but it's purely an eye test thing i guess. not a crazy draft choice if you want to go for him
people who probably should be playing other tiers, but can easily hold their own if for some reason you slot them in rby (3): BlazingDark, Gilbert arenas, violet river
all three probably go positive if they're slotted in rby and seriously sweating the tier for a couple months / can play this well in a tb situation. they probably make more sense in other gens, but they'd get wins here too
wildcards (2): Hayburner, Vileman
logic says these guys are out of shape in rby and will get killed, lived experience says sometimes players like these randomly find their groove again and perform admirably for very cheap. i wouldnt chance it. but go crazy if you want to
flexible (2): Eeveeto, Larry
these guys know a bit of everything, and that includes RBY. if you're taking a risk on your starter and want a backup in case it all goes to hell, these guys are probably the best candidates for that while also contributing in other ways
rby specific backup/support (3): emma, Maris Bonibell, NotVeryCake
these players know enough ball to meaningfully help even an spl player with their direct input. i would expect them to contribute positively if drafted. emma is the most veteran, maris the best vibes, cake the best player in case they actually need to step in
for as much as people hype up the years where "everyone is here" and "the pool is the strongest since spl 9" or whatever, personally i'm really excited for this one. lots of new faces should be great to see.
happy new year, may your ice beams freeze on the first try

ulti bastion held his own in RBYPL in the bo5 slot against basically all killers, ending "only" 4-3 but taking out serpi and sceptross along the way. he's on the comeup, but IMO he is a bit too green compared to the other options / hasn't proven as much consistency at a lower level
