STANDINGS​

Welcome to the second edition of DPP Grand Slam!

The tournament starts with a regular season consisting in five separate tournaments: The DPP Ubers Open, the DPP UU Open, the DPP NU Open, the DPP PU Open, and the DPP LC Open. Depending on your performance in each Open, you will be awarded points. The point system is the same as the one used in Smogon Classic and Smogon Grand Slam- see this for further explanation. When all the Opens have been finished, the eight players with the most points will qualify for playoffs. There, the battlers will duke it out in a single elimination best-of-five series until there is one DPP Grand Slam champion!

Here is the list of the five Opens and the dates each signups will be posted:
  • The DPP Ubers Open - Hosted by HSK7 - October 13th
  • The DPP UU Open - Hosted by Showl - October 19th
  • The DPP NU Open - Hosted by Oathkeeper - October 26th
  • The DPP PU Open - Hosted by Blaze - November 2nd
  • The DPP LC Open - Hosted by Zcarlett - November 9th
I will be helping this lovely crew with hosting and oversight as well.

If a tier shift happens to occur during a round, it will not be taken into account until the following round. Be sure to join the DPP Discord server if you have any questions or wish to ask a host about a decision. More information on the tournament, standings spreadsheet, and any other logistics will be edited here and posted about in the near future -- stay tuned!

Congratulations to Milkshook, Heysup, LpZ, LpZ, and evakiyama! for winning the Ubers, UU, NU, PU, and LC Opens respectively!
I would also like to thank our hosts HSK7, Showl, Oathkeeper, Blaze, and Zcarlett for hosting these Opens!​

Without further ado, here is the list of players who qualified for playoffs and their respective seed:

  7. susciety – 14 points (81.82% Win Ratio)
  8. jhm5 – 14 points (66.67% Win Ratio)
Playoffs rules:
  • All sets will be Best of 5, featuring DPP Ubers, DPP UU, DPP NU, DPP PU, and DPP LC.
  • The higher seed gets to choose the first tier to be played in a set, while the loser of each game gets to pick the next tier to be played.
  • No duplicates: you cannot choose a tier that has already been played in the set!
