It's just like that one level 90 pokemon in the elite four

Anyways I think rn with infinite abilities the best strat is Parental Bond Struggle to hit other Wonder Guard with Berries to stay alive and every offensive ability ever to OHKO the other mon, but sometimes it just doesn't trigger half the abilities (like here, pure power and huge power and neutralizing gas and ability shield didn't protect from the haxorus mold breaker) idk why it has to do with the order you put them in also why didn't shadow ball hit but earthquake did

EDIT - There's still the 24 "move" limit

Uncertain if this is how I report a bug, but I went to try and make a Yanmega with Tinted Lens, Bug Buzz, Throat Spray, Life Orb, Speed Boost, and Metronome (item) but the team creator considers Metronome to be an illegal move because it cannot learn Metronome. Even when I tried placing it in the item slot so the image of the metronome would show it would still be considered illegal. The item and move Metronomes likely need some kind of tag to differentiate eachother

item:metronome / move:metronome should be this, tho I have heard inconsistent reports re:whether it actually works

heh, report a bug. because it's yanmega

but in all seriousness i pointed this out over three months ago and i don't think anyone has decided what to do about it yet. i'm not entirely sure there's a workable solution besides just banning both metronomes, since i don't believe oms can finagle around with teambuilder flags or anything

Okay so this meta is super broken and I love it.

There are two things that are a bit too broken though. The first is Inteleon (Funny ain't it?).
Inteleon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: mysticwater
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Snipe Shot
- razorclaw
- scopelens
- sniper
This set is so broken. The lowest damage I did was 42% without tera against AV prim. It also outspeeds anything besides Choice Scarf Dragapult, or can drop Scarf for Life Orb to have no switch-in's outside of water absorb. Water absorb is the only thing that holds it back in any way, but those are uncommon. Priority can also be an issue, but stuff like Psy terrain (Which is also probably good as a style, but I've only ran it as Inteleon support) and the next issue means you can brute force your way through this.

The second broken thing iseven more absurd.
Rabsca @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: leppaberry
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Revival Blessing
- Custap Berry
- Focus Sash
- Red Card
This set is an all-in-one win. 9/10 times you can 1. Stop an opponents sweeper 2. Bring back two guys 3. Profit.
Normally Revival Blessing is a massive momentum sink, keeping it in check, but this set lets you combine a nice combo to have in broken meta's (Red Card+Sash/Sturdy) and a gauranteed double revival. In a meta with mons like Inteleon, this is incredibly opressive.

See now if only there was a way to make Inteleon ACTUALLY unwallable by making it's attack do 1.5x damage that also happened to have two of its best counters (Barraskewda and Wogerpon).... guys rain might be broken

Banned in 2020, revived in 2016. Welcome back Dracovish!

let’s go gambling (Chansey) @ serenegrace
Ability: eviolite
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Ice Beam
- Leftovers
- assaultvest

this meta is very cool and pretty funny i think

alright so after some screwing around heres some really silly mons ive used to get high on the ladder :3.
Darkrai @ Life Orb
Ability: Dread Plate
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Hasty Nature
- Choice Scarf
- Black Glasses
- Sludge Bomb / Wise Glasses / Focus Sash
- Dark Pulse
Darkrai can get really silly, as it doesnt need its ability whatsoever and can go full-in on damage.
Latios @ Soul Dew
Ability: Life Orb
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Luster Purge
- Draco Meteor
- Twisted Spoon / Dragon Fang / Scarf
- Mind Plate / Draco Plate / Scarf
With a full one-type set, it results in a net 2.25 multiplier (1.2×1.3×1.2×1.2) for either psychic or dragon. You can also keep levitate if you struggle vs sticky webs alot <3

A somewhat sillier option is Pikachu. Decent option on a rain team.
Latios @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Light Ball
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Life Orb
- Volt Switch
- Thunder / Thunderbolt
- Surf
Since Light Ball doubles Pikachus attacking stats, a modest Pikachu is operating with 436 sp. atk, not counting life orb or any other items. I wouldn't say this set is good by any means, but its really funny so I wanted to share it.

And of course, regarding scarfs, there is the king of them all: Inteleon
Inteleon @ Life Orb
Ability: Sniper
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Speed
Timid Nature
- Choice Scarf
- Scope Lens
- Razor Claw
- Snipe Shot
The main goal of all these sets is muscling through your resistances as best as you can in sheer strength alone.

Maushold Gets Wide Lens, Protective Pads, Life Orb, and Silk Scarf / Choice Scarf aswell as Technician. Walled by ghost types but is insanely powerful otherwise. It might be a noob trap though.
.

A theme with many of the absurdly strong mons I've cooked up in the labs is a combination of life orb + [type boosting item] + [type boosting plate]. That example right there is good for raging bolt, lokix, and kingambit as goober strong priority users.

Plus all of this isnt even mentioning how good weather is. Pelliper / torkoal get both boots AND their respective rock? Crazy. Hippowdon is also great with sand force + sand stream allowing it to still take opponents off guard even with full bulk investment, as well as excadrill popping off here. Ninetails gets access to boots + light clay aswell. I expect screens to be more widely used later in the metagame to deal with threats.

TL:DR this teir is broken. I wouldn't call myself stellar at pokemon but somehow I've managed to pull through (cuz my mons are busted lmao)

Did some testing and found out that Shell Bell healing will always run after Life Orb recoil when you run both of them, meaning that you can minmax Eruption/Water Spout/Dragon Energy mons by running LO + SB + type plate + type item and the LO won’t decrease your damage as long as you’re OHKOing things

trace bug. unsure if it actually does anything problematic, or if it's just visual. Does not apply Intimidate multiple times in switch in so I assume visual.

EDIT: Further information says it does get messed up.
[14:16:55] PhoqueItWeBall: yup
[14:16:58] PhoqueItWeBall: it keeps going
[14:17:29] PhoqueItWeBall: also trace just didn`t work after switching in again
[14:17:43] +drampa's grandpa: huh
[14:18:26] PhoqueItWeBall: my opponent switched it out and in again and trace did not activate at all

So I found a bug that almost certainly needs patched, but has resulted in some really funny matches.
:alomomola: Alomomola @ protect
Ability: Mist
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Scald
- Wish
- regenerator
- Skill Swap

Some people have had the misfortune of going against the mister. People really like to run the really important thing in their ability slot, like the best move or ability they have so that it doesn't get knocked off and they lose it. In response I started running Skill Swap Mist Alomomola. Is there better options like Lagging Tail for this slot, absolutely, but then I couldnt say:
1767383235746.png

Now the immediate thought is, "yeah but they can just switch out and restore their ability/move by coming back in, but heres the bug:
Skill Swap when not used between specifically 2 abilities, is for some reason permanent. Once the skill swap happens they will NEVER get that back, and will be stuck with Mist for the rest of the game. Here's a screenshot showing a Pelipper stripped of its purpose in life:
1767383337772.png

This is ridiculous for disabling weather setters or horrifying combos like Speed Boost Blaziken/Yanmega, because you can just take it from them and its now gone forever, and as a bonus now Alomomola gets that ability. So if its Drizzle or Drought, just sack Alomomola and surprise, weather will never go up again. If its speed boost its time for the fastest Alomomola alive. I've stolen Adaptability as well which is nice for Scald damage output.

Overall no matter how much I love the strat, its obviously a bug and probably needs to be patched, no matter how funny it is to mist people.

i can confirm that, because of how easy it is to just put the important parts of your set in your moveslots, nerfing item removal, I wanted to experiment with the idea of ability removal being permanent (with stuff like gastro acid as an alternative to knock off and skill swap as an alternative to trick). whether it will stay like this remains to be seen

fun idea I was experimenting with varying degrees of success. Introducing the choice-item replicator:

hawlucha.gif
@ Mold Breaker
Ability: Choice Scarf
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Entrainment
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Roost

You can try the same thing with other Entrainment mons to give perma Lagging Tail / Ring Target etc.

:sv/araquanid:
Araquanid @ Muscle Band
Ability: Water Bubble
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Splash Plate
- Mystic Water
- Liquidation
- Heavy Duty Boots
Araquanid being very close to being a menace to society. If only the incense items were available, would Araquanid have a giga boosted Liquidation. After a hypnotical Water Bubble + Splash Plate + Mystic Water + Sea Incense + Wave Incense + Rain + Water Tera STAB, a Liquidation would have 1,057.536 BP. And if you really wanted to, you could possibly add Life Orb.
But Incense items are unavailable in Gen 9, so best we can do is Water Bubble + Splash Plate + Mystic Water + Muscle Band + Tera Water STAB, which is only 538.56 BP (not including Life Orb)
