CORE LADDERING CHALLENGE – CYCLE 22

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you a happy new year, good health, love and prosperity!

We're back on the Core Laddering Challenge. The first challenge of the year will, fittingly, be about Self-Improvement.

For this cycle, the rules are very simple: you can use any Pokémon you want, however you must get a visible stat boost at least once before the end of the battle!
  • This can be from a status move (Calm Mind, Bulk Up, Agility...), an attacking move (Flame Charge, Ancient Power...), an ability (Download, Stamina, Speed Boost...) or an item (Liechi, Maranga, Throat Spray...).
  • Only stage-based boosts are accepted. Stat modifiers from Eviolite, Choice items, Unburden, Booster Energy etc. are not enough!
  • Critical boosts (Focus Energy/Lansat Berry) are accepted.
  • If you lose the battle or if your opponent forfeits before you can get a stat boost, keep playing. However if you defeat your opponent without fulfilling the condition, this cannot validate the replay (before 1300 I don't care, you can use normal teams).
  • In doubt about a rule just ask me.

  1. Post the replay that shows you reach the ELO cap you're claiming.​
  2. You don't need to register in the thread anymore. Just pick a name with prefix 1vCLC22 and play!​
  3. If you are found using unauthorised mons, forfeit the battle and fix your team.​
  4. ELO requirements above.​
