Well, I have to play Politoed if I want to play Rain in 6G. Scald is rather common for a bulky Water, Toxic wears down bulkier Pokemon and cripples foes such as Latios and Latias that don't really mind a Scald even if it burns. Encore prevents Politoed from being taken advantage of by setup sweepers, especially Dragon Dance users and Calm Mind Clefable, and allows it to take advantage of defensive Pokemon that have just used a support move by locking them into the move. The combination of Encore + Toxic is particularly potent against Mega Slowbro, making Politoed an effective check to Calm Mind variants. Rest fills the last moveslot as an important form of recovery for Politoed and allows it to switch in more often to get up rain. 96 Speed EVs are enough for Politoed to outspeed max Speed Azumarill and lock it into Belly Drum with Encore if it has just used the move. The HP and Special Defense EVs in addition to a Calm nature are conducive to increasing Politoed's longevity and allow it to deal with threats such as Mega Charizard Y.

Since we are not playing M-Swampert, we must find another way to have immunity to Electric attacks in order to check M-Manectric...
So I chose to play Seismitoad who is capable of lots of surprises.
Hydro Pump is Seismitoad's main attacking move and is boosted even further when rain is up. Earth Power is weaker but more reliable. Sludge Wave allows Seismitoad to deal damage to Grass-types that resist its STAB combination.
Knock Off deals a lot of damage to Latios and Latias, as they can handle Hydro Pump and Sludge Wave and have an immunity to Earth Power.
0 Atk Life Orb Seismitoad Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Latias: 127-151 (34.8 - 41.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
Knock Off also cripples Chansey by removing its Eviolite.
252+ SpA Life Orb Seismitoad Hydro Pump vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Chansey in Rain: 222-263 (34.5 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
The given EV spread maximizes Seismitoad's offensive capabilities while the Speed investment allows it to outspeed Choice Scarf Landorus-T and the remaining EVs are dumped into HP.

136+ Atk Heracross-Mega Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 244 HP / 216+ Def Tangrowth: 360-430 (89.5 - 106.9%) -- approx. 19.1% chance to OHKO
136+ Atk Heracross-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 88+ Def Ferrothorn: 356-420 (101.1 - 119.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
136+ Atk Heracross-Mega Pin Missile (5 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Suicune: 185-225 (45.7 - 55.6%) -- approx. 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Close Combat is Mega Heracross's strongest Fighting-type STAB attack and severely dents anything that doesn't resist it. Pin Missile is Mega Heracross's secondary STAB move, which hits an impressive 125 Base Power thanks to Skill Link and nets at least neutral damage on Psychic-types that resist Close Combat. Rock Blast also benefits from Skill Link and achieves great coverage alongside Mega Heracross's STAB moves, hitting Flying-types like Talonflame and Tornadus-T super effectively and a few other targets for neutral damage.
Substitute is preferred in the last slot to ease prediction and make use of the numerous switches Mega Heracross forces.
0 SpA 30 IVs Tangrowth Hidden Power Fire vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Heracross-Mega in Rain: 44-54 (12.1 - 14.9%) -- possible 7HKO

0 SpA Suicune Scald vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Heracross-Mega: 76-91 (21 - 25.2%) -- 0.1% chance to 4HKO
Moxie is the preferred ability before Mega Evolving to nab an Attack boost against a weakened foe or predicted sacrifice, though it can be somewhat unreliable, as Pin Missile, Rock Blast, and Bullet Seed are all rather weak without the guaranteed five hits from Skill Link. The given EV spread has enough Speed investment to outpace uninvested Landorus-T after Mega Evolving. The Attack EVs, paired with an Adamant nature, ensure a 2HKO on standard Magic Guard Clefable with Rock Blast most of the time. The remaining EVs are placed into HP to make use of Mega Heracross's great bulk, allowing it to takes hits from threats such as Bisharp, Mega Lopunny, and Weavile much better.

Draco Meteor is Latios's strongest move, dealing great damage to Pokemon that don't resist it such as Thundurus and Slowbro. Psyshock allows Latios to threaten specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Clefable, and Assault Vest Tornadus-T by hitting their weaker Defense stat.
Defog provides invaluable support to teammates so that their health is not chipped away by entry hazards. Surf allows Latios to deal heavy damage to Heatran, Mega Diancie, and Tyranitar, while also being able to deal solid damage to the likes of Hippowdon and Gliscor without being forced to use Draco Meteor which eventually forces Latios to switch out.

Waterfall is the primary STAB move, which is boosted under rain and is capable of OHKOing most offensive Pokemon. Stone Edge is the secondary STAB attack and has excellent coverage alongside Waterfall. Swords Dance allows Kabutops to boost its already good Attack.

Aqua-Jet is here for priority.

Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
Ferrothorn takes advantage of the rain which reduces its double Fire weakness while taking advantage of its good number of resistances which is very useful for the team.
Leech Seed gives Ferrothorn a way of recovering health and is a must on every Ferrothorn set, as it lacks reliable recovery. The damage Leech Seed does is also useful for chipping away at the opponent's health.
Thunder Wave is here to cripple common switch-ins such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Heatran.
Ferrothorn can use Power Whip to deal with Substitute Mega Gyarados and hit Azumarill, Keldeo, Excadrill, and Hippowdon hard.
The given EV spread with a Impish nature lets Ferrothorn fare well against both physically and specially oriented opponents. 168 Special Defense EVs give Ferrothorn enough special bulk to survive two Ice Beams from +3 Manaphy.
Chople Berry allows Ferrothorn to take less damage from Fighting-types or the likes of Mega Gardevoir and Mega Alakazam and proceed to cripple them with Thunder Wave.
How I came up with the idea for the team
For this team, I decided to go with a rain team. Usually, this type of team plays staples like M-Swampert, Tornadus-T... Here, I decided to test a version with M-Heracross, which has a good matchup against many threats in rain teams, like bulky Grass types...Team breakdown
