I do not accept this ruling. First of all, my teammate contacted the opposing team on Tuesday, but they did not send their first reply until Saturday (our local time). In the meantime, I also tried to reach out to them through another member of their team, yet this member ignored my message entirely. The opposing team only showed up after my teammate had already returned to school at the end of their vacation—by which time it was already the early hours of Sunday (our local time). For these reasons, I hereby file a formal protest.
Considering that the players are from all over the world, I believe that match scheduling should take place in the first few days of a week, as this would facilitate effective time coordination. The opposing team did not send their first reply until Saturday, and during this period, their teammate also ignored our attempt to reach out. In my opinion, this constitutes passive behavior in match scheduling, and the outcome should not be decided by drawing lots. Therefore, our requests are that this match be restarted, or that the opposing team be ruled to have forfeited directly.
