Camove Chaos - 2 Breakers Superman
:rhyperior: :garchomp: :cresselia: :gyarados-mega: :latios: :lycanroc-dusk:

Camove Chaos is a metagame where consistency is extremely difficult to achieve given that every Pokémon can run any typing and moveset it wants, the only limits are statlines and abilities. Any defensive core can be broken through and any wall can be bypassed with the right tech.
Many of my best teams have come from trying to build the Superman archetype, that is, teams that eschew removal in favor of hazard immunities and resistances, in tiers where the teamstyle hasn't been explored much (see: Balanced Hackmons, Inheritance, etc).

So, in preparation for Tours Plaza Premiere VII earlier this year, I decided to give building superman a shot in Camove. The results were mixed, the team lost in its debut game, but I refined it throughout the tour, and the structure I've ended up with is an extremely consistent 4-mon defensive core, with the 2 breaker slots as essentially plug and play options where a variety of breakers can be ran, so long as they're hazard immune/resistant, one is speed control and one of them is a Dark type. The version I'm presenting here uses Scarf Fighting/Ice Latios and Boots Dark/Ground Lycanroc-Dusk, but i've gotten use out of offensive Reuniclus, Rock/Dark Scizor, and various boosting Dragapult and Zeraora sets.

Anyway, here's the team:

rmt rhyperior.png

CRUSHING DEPTH (Rhyperior) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Lightning Rod
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Flip Turn
- Spectral Thief
- Spikes
- Shore Up

Rhyperior is the team's main Physdef, as a Water/Ghost type with Lightning Rod, it has very few exploitable weaknesses, immunities to some of the best and most common moves in Bolt Strike and Close Combat, and tons of useful resistances to moves like Gigaton Hammer and Pyro Ball. It fears Knock Off, obviously, but that isn't as big of a concern as you'd expect, since the team has 4 switch-ins to Knock and in Camove typically Knock is used to hit RegenVests to support special attackers, so it can generally just avoid users of the move. Ghost typing lets it act as a spinblocker as well as deal great damage with STAB Spectral Thief, which also serves to deter boosting against it. Flip Turn keeps momentum up, Spikes are Spikes and Healing is self-explanatory.

rmt garchomp.png

FRAGMENTED SKIES (Garchomp) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 184 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def / 68 Spe
Impish Nature
- Anchor Shot
- Beak Blast
- Stone Axe
- Soft-Boiled

Garchomp is likely the most unorthodox mon on the team, and the only one that was truly a new innovation. Steel/Flying is a naturally exellent typing for any defensive core, while having a solid offensive statline to prevent it from being passive and exploitable. Rocky Helmet and Rough Skin lets it brawl with RegenVests, blocking their Rapid Spin by causing enough recoil they can't really make use of it and immediately setting Rocks again, as well as blocking Mortal Spin more traditionally. The team has very consistent spinblocking in general, between Rhyperior and Garchomp for Rapid Spin and Garchomp and Cresselia for Mortal Spin. Beak Blast adds another layer to its ability to punish contact by spreading burn, and sacking it to burn an opposing breaker can be a gamewinning play.

rmt cresselia.png

CLOCKWORK MOON (Cresselia) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Anchor Shot
- Dragon Tail
- Knock Off
- Shore Up

Cresselia is one of two Special walls on the team, and is unfortunately pretty passive, with Knock and Dtail as its only pressure tools since there are no desirable Steel moves for it, but its role is necessary to hold the team together against special Waters, Electrics, Normals and Ices. That said, once you get several layers of Rocks and Spikes up, Dragon Tail stops being a passive momentum sink and becomes a major source of progress, and Knock is indispensable against opposing Boots Spam and helps Latios break Regenvests.

rmt mgyara.png

CRACK THE EARTH (Gyarados-Mega) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe
Careful Nature
- Precipice Blades
- Roost
- Sacred Fire
- Coil

Gyarados has been a very popular mon in Camove, although it has fallen off in usage recently (because the playerbase sucks lowkey).
That said, investing in Special Defense instead of Speed and Attack is a new innovation of this team. Gyarados is a scarily consistent mixed wall, providing intimidate support un-mega'd if the opponent is carrying mostly physical breakers, and acting as a great check to Secret Sword users like Fighting/Ghost Blacephalon, various Reuniclus sets and just most special attackers in general provided they aren't carrying Water STAB or Ice coverage, but it can even take most non-STAB Freeze Drys in a pinch. Coil combined with Mold Breaker Ground and Fire moves gives it an exellent offensive presence and once the opponent's Spectral Thief users are worn down, it can easily clean up games. Sacred Fire also allows it to spread burn which can increase the chip pressure on walls and render walls with physical attacks harmless. Speed EVs are for 4 speed Cresselia.

rmt latios.png

FROZEN STARFALL (Latios) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Freeze-Dry
- Secret Sword
- Armor Cannon
- Trick

Now we get to the "plug and play" section of the team. The team can be modified quite a bit by swapping these two around. That said, Latios and Lycanroc are the best I've found, although changing their types around is certainly possible (Fire/Fighting Latios seems just as good, for instance). Anyway, Latios is the team's speed control, it helps avoid weird situations like losing to last mon Zeraora, and force out threats like Scizor or Ogerpon-H. That said it's also pretty powerful offensively, and with Hazard and Knock support it can break through many defensive cores. Freeze Dry has arguably the best type profile of any move despite low BP, while Secret Sword bypasses Spdef. Armor Cannon helps with Steel/Flying Zeraora and Steel/Ghost Dragapult or Diancie. Trick can disrupt the opponent's core if Latios' speed or choice lock is unhelpful, such as against hard stall.

rmt lycandusk.png

DANCE WITH WOLVES (Lycanroc-Dusk) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Tough Claws
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Headlong Rush
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch

Lycanroc provides the team with a pursuit trapper, which can be indispensable in certain matchups (vs Tapu Lele most notably). It also hits really hard, and Sucker Punch can outspeed opposing priority to deal with threats like Roserade or a chipped Scizor. Knock Off's power lets you force in opposing walls to remove their Boots. Lacking a boosting item does mean Lycanroc can struggle to break on its own, but between hazard stacking, the ability to change moves, and chip provided by teammates and burn, Lycanroc can break through long term.

Potential changes.

In terms of potential changes, I won't detail the ways you can swap out the 2 breakers, but i'll suggest modifications to their sets.
:garchomp: change Anchor Shot to Gigaton Hammer, Beak Blast to Roost and Recover to Knock Off
:garchomp: :rhyperior: Swap Stone Axe and Spikes
:cresselia: change Anchor Shot to Metal Burst
:gyarados-mega: change Coil to Recover and Roost to Dragon Ascent or Beak Blast
:latios: Swap Freeze Dry and Armor Cannon to make it Fire/Fighting, and change Freeze Dry or Trick to Volt Switch
:lycanroc-dusk: Change Headlong Rush to Close Combat or Bolt Strike

Weaknesses

:dhelmise: (Steel/Normal) :roserade: (Steel/Water with Recover)
no real long term answers - both might be banned/nerfed soon LOL, but these are specific typings/sets, you still beat most dhelmises and roserades.

:archaludon: (Fairy/Fighting CM)
I think you autolose? Only person who runs this is me though.

:primarina: Water/Fairy types in general can be a struggle, with Diancie, Blastoise and Skymin as the main abusers.

Results

Ladder peak I got on day 2 of the ladder being up, hence the low elo and gxe. Peak achieved with the superman as well as this offense. Pretty comfortable, ladder was using a lot of Trick Room stuff which was unviable so those were easy wins.

Peaks achieved by my friend Clas who laddered with the team even more than me, alongside their own balance build. It was a week into the ladder being up so the opposition was stronger. They're much better than me at actually saving replays and were fighting better opponents so that's where the replays are from. They also made a couple modifications to the team to improve consistency, so I'd consider them a major contributor to this RMT, shoutouts.
I asked them for their thoughts on the team:
Laddering Camove is not even close to easy if you want consistent progress, but this team gets nearly as close to as possible as you can get. Being able to almost always force progress even in heavily disadvantageous matchups is a huge boon that not many teams can claim to be able to do, and this team has a ton of ways - trapping with Anchor Shot, hazards + Knock Off, Garchomp in general, and Trick from Latios in the case of stall. Outside of Normal/Steel Dhelmise, nothing can consistently beat the team without a ton of support, and I've never had a team like this before. If there was a team to start with getting into Camove for even decently experienced Pokemon players, this is probably the one I'd recommend the most for consistent results, as long as there's some patience present.
