The Inter-Server Team Tournament, or ISTT for short, is a team tournament where multiple servers clash to prove who is best. First done by Miyoko with the Inter-Server Premier League, the ISTT looks to search for servers that would like to participate and promote them through the tournament.

The ISTT's defining feature is the idea of a self-pick slot. For every week. every single team gets to pick any tier (Within reason, of course, at least it needs to have a sizable amount of resources and a smogon thread), it can be from RBY OU Bo5 to SV Partners In Crime, there are rules that every manager needs to know, but otherwise they can be pretty much whatever the team wishes. These are submitted about 24 hours before the lineup deadline, and then the lineups are submitted based on the self pick.

The tiers are as follows:
- SV Random Battle Bo3
- SV OU
- SV Slam Bo3 (UU, RU, NU)
- National Dex OU
- Fairy Gens OU Bo3 (ORAS, SM, SS)
- SV Doubles OU
- SV Monotype
- SV Ubers
- SV LC
- Classic Bo5 (RBY-BW)
- Self pick
- Opp pick

There is a minimum of 14 users per team (12 players + 2 subs) and a maximum of 18 users (12 players + 6 subs)
