Greetings. This is Fabrice Crown Speaking in this new episode of "Falsissimo".
We'll see at
cartoggi which new / underrated italian players might be worth drafting in this iteration of Teamballo. Remember, I won the OG edition of Teamballo, so take notes of these developer tips.
This is the Italian Premier League-like tour so why the hesitation? why not giving some new italian player some chance?!?!?
.Sanvy: He's a VGC main who won EUIC and I believe two or three regionals? Anyway, he's always in 1800-1900-2k range of ELO in OU ladder so don't sleep on him. Just give him good teams and he'll win. I can see him being potentially a goated HO warrior as Vertex. Fun fact, AT CARTOGGI/at Today I think he can potentially play for team italy wcop at least from a skill perspective
Barge: A good ORAS fossil which I predict to do at least 4-5 wins if paired with some good support. Hopefully he learnt something from Santuz ce la sand
bello figo: This guy is the Talisman, he's the real Frontman. In less than one year he gained a respectable reputation to be one of the most consistent supporters in every possible team tour. He managed to win both RCoP and ADVWcop. You can gain value from him more as a support, but I can predict him to get at least 3-4 wins if slotted in some gabibbic lower tier/side meta.
Supraz: He's a quite recent SV OU main with experience also in other formats as Ubers. If paired with some solid teambuilding support I can expect him to get at least 4-5 wins. He made some experience across some unofficial team tour on smogon. Hopefully this tournament will be his turning point for his pokemon career.
Hachimaki: Not exactly a new player or an underrated one but he's not been scene in tournament scene from a while. I've teamed up a lot of times with him and he's actually an ORAS OU genius and generally quite versatile in every tier he decides to learn. If he puts effort and does not disappear I expect him to get at least 6 wins.
Truthankamon: He's probably the most tryhard SV OU player out there in Italian community and he's my pupil. I'm happy I decided to give him a chance in OUPL and I think he's ready enough to start as a player. I predict him to get at least 5 wins if he get picked.
Baoba: This dude is a legend. At CARTOGGI if I were a manager I'd pick him easily at 3k. He's extremely talented at teambuilding and that's a skill you always need in SV OU specifically. AT CARTOGGI I'd predict him to get at least 8 win if he actually decides to tryhard. Big fan.
DanMNC: This guy is one of my VGC friends as Mava which I'm happy to glaze again in this post. He's insanely good in Doubles Formats but he's also experienced a bit in OU. I've observed his evolution as an OU player in ladder and I've seen him taking down quite comfortably huge players as GXE, Storm Zone, Hellom etc. I'd be happy if some manager gives him a chance to play both in DOU or OU. In both cases, some support would be necessary to expect him to get at least 5-6 wins.
Znain: not exactly italian but he used to be quite active in Italian community. He understands well italian language and I believe he actually used to play SPL so it's nice to see him back. A valid pick for sure.
Kyogrus24: This guy is a teambuilding genius and I actually used to play vs him a lot in VGC ladder and in some VGC local event. You can obviously pick him for DOU and he has played DOUWC in Team Italy. Do not let him go undrafted.
RADU: not exactly a new player but I've faced him in SV OU ladder some week ago. I can say that at least he's trying to improve and I think that with some support he can be a valuable pick.
Val16: He's one of the VGC guys I'd glaze all the day and same as Kyogrus he has made a lot of experience across Doubles Formats. He played DOUWC for Team Italy. The Line will Remember.
Tizio: This dude was a fossil but he's quite experienced in lower tiers. He can be a good 3k value for LC. Do not sleep on him.
Lord V: An ADV main which I can see winning if provided with some solid support in ORAS. This guy is also extremely lucky at the game which is a skill you always need to be successful at this game. I believe there was a video on youtube where he wins a game vs Gilbert Arenas flinching every turn with rock slide salamence or some shit vs swampert and he had like 0.0003% or something to make this happen. I think the video got removed after z0mog ban from smogon idk.
Tizio Potente Ao: He won DPP & BW global and he's actually starting in SPL. Even if none of these tiers are present in this tournament I'm convinced he is a really skilled player which can play every tier. Support him a bit and he'll be fine.
Azluc On Top: I think he already won teamballo sometimes but probably his name is under the radar.
Corckscrew: Well, not exactly a player which needs any introduction, but he's not been so active in recent years in Italian community, but hear me out: He's the LC jesus and he can easily win in any tier in which building skills are rewarded. He's also played 1 SCL and 1 SPL in the past and maybe made the semifinals or finals of an UU open I guess? Easy x-0 in the pool if you pick him for LC.
Mava2 I already glazed him in the post above
procorphish: not a new player but he's been inactive for 2 years I guess but he's grinding SV OU ladder he's the best SV player on the site rn trust. Probably the only player which I predict to go x-0 in SV Pool
I probably will update the post in case I forgot to mention some player, gl hf to everyone for upcoming teamballo.
