Cigarettes. only one in six cigarettes should have tobacco. one in a hundred should have opium. half of them are menthols. you can trade in the warning labels from 500 packs for a special cigarette that boosts your stats permanently

kitchen appliances. one in six is safely machine washable. sometimes u get one that's fully gold plated

flights. you just book a flight and go to a random country.

gluten or allergen free foods (u can probably guess)
 
I think our society should function on the hinge of a great lot-drawing event every year, wherein an unlucky few are met with a deathly fate to superstitiously ensure prosperity in the rest of us. I'm coining a new word, "dystopian" to describe this groundbreaking thought experiment

they already do that. its just that for used cars you're rolling on which parts of the engine haven't been maintained properly. generally going to be vacuum lines or timing components but also sometimes people don't do oil changes on time so the turbo blows up if it has one or the engine blows up because the oil transfer lines are clogged with gunk (looking at you german car owners you gotta do that stuff at 8k miles on the dot). and for new cars you're rolling on whether or not your engine goes kaput before or after your drivetrain warranty runs out.
 
i would actually purchase randomized sodas if enough of the flavors you could get were interesting stuff. you could cover the can with a sticker that hides the flavor specific information so people could choose whether to remove the sticker before or after trying
