Hello fellow gamers. After months of not consistently laddering, I decided to get back into SV OU to see if I could do good, and I am proud to say that I did thanks to this amazing team I cooked up during my comeback. This is my first RMT, please be kind, I'm new to this :)

The team:

Great Tusk @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Psyshock
- Tera Blast
- Flash Cannon
I first started out with Choice Specs Great Tusk, who is capable of breaking through mons like Iron Defense + Body Press Zamazenta, physically defensive Alomomola, and Pecharunt. Earth Power is way better than Headlong Rush since it doesn't lower its bulk, which is needed for a guy like Great Tusk who needs to be taking heavy hits. Flash Cannon hits Fairy types like Enamorus and Clefable, and Tera Blast Electric hits Corviknight. I felt like Rapid Spin wouldn't fit on a Choice Specs set designed to break, so I decided to opt for a different Pokemon to remove hazards.

Glimmora @ Leftovers
Ability: Corrosion
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Spiky Shield
- Earth Power
- Mortal Spin
Since Great Tusk couldn't be my spinner, I decided to go with the 2nd best spinner in the meta: physically defensive Glimmora. Glimmora utilizes its combination of Corrosion + Toxic to whittle away at bulky walls who would normally be immune to Toxic like Galarian Slowking, Corviknight, and Heatran. Spiky Shield gives it an extra turn of poison damage and punishes contact attackers like Rillaboom and Hisuian Samurott. Mortal Spin is its form of hazard removal, and when paired with Earth Power, deters Steel types from switching in. 44 Spe outspeeds Jolly Kingambit. Tera Flying lets it avoid Ground type attacks completely.

Garganacl @ Leftovers
Ability: Purifying Salt
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Salt Cure
- Recover
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Punch
I realized I needed a rocker, so I turned to Garganacl. It's a Stealth Rock setter that can chip virtually any Pokemon and has reliable recovery to boot. Fire Punch allows it to hit Grass and Steel types like Gholdengo, Kingambit, and Rillaboom. Tera Fire is great on Garganacl for a number of reasons: it boosts the power of Fire Punch, gives it a Steel resist to completely wall Gholdengo, and makes it immune to burns from guys like Darkrai and Cinderace.

Hydrapple @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 244 HP / 12 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Power Whip
This team is looking very weak to Water and Ground, and what better resist than good ol Hydrapple. Specially defensive Hydrapple with Curse turns it into a threatening setup sweeper. Moves are self explanatory, but Tera Normal is here to give it a Ghost immunity to take on Ghosts like Dragapult and Gholdengo at the cost of its Zamazenta matchup.

Darkrai @ Life Orb
Ability: Bad Dreams
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab
- Swords Dance
Wanted another setup sweeper+a knocker, and so I had to go with the obvious choice: Swords Dance Darkrai. Underwhelming base 90 attack is made up for with near perfect Poison+Dark+Fighting coverage and Life Orb boost. Tera Poison flips the matchup against Fairies like Iron Valiant, being able to consistently revenge kill Calm Mind sets with ease.
252 Atk Life Orb Tera Poison Darkrai Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Iron Valiant: 289-343 (100 - 118.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Poison Heal
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 244 HP / 16 Def / 248 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Spikes
- U-turn
Lastly, I needed a spiker and Ground immune, and Gliscor fits the bill. U-turn is here for pivoting since this team lacks any sort of pivot. Made it mixed because I already had enough dedicated physically and specially defensive walls and it doesn't hurt to have Gliscor be able to sponge attacks from both ends of the spectrum. Tera Water gives me a backup Water resist in case Hydrapple perishes, but I do not recommend Teraing Gliscor due to its already hella advantageous defensive typing.
