Week 4 is here and so are my choices for the most interesting matchups we'll see!

Diamond Storms :diancie-mega: vs Dark Moon Lunalas :lunala:

Gen 9 Random Battle: lichess vs Buhrito > after Star Wheel, here is another Westie for Buhrito. Hopefully for him, this time he won't face the same horrible luck he had against the Kanga manager. Lichess did lose against zS but he is in the Circuit finals and he is not even playing bad in this Rbtt, so he this has potential to be a close matchup
Gen 7 Random Battle: LordST vs ZDen > two losses and a sub is the current track record for LordST, which is uncharacteristically bad for
someone with such a great history in Rbtt. ZDen is quite good so getting his first win of the season will be no easy task
Gen 4 Random Battle: Click>Think vs Texas Cloverleaf > the Battle of the Canadians
Gen 9 Random Doubles: Optidox vs ionnss > apprentice vs master

Gen 9 Random Battle (Bo5): GXE vs Separation > highlight match #1 for gen 9 bo5. Sepa is likely playing at the highest level of his career, be it in tiers or rands, while GXE is 1-2 but it's not like he is playing bad. Is this game the perfect opportunity to turn the tides of his season?
Gen 5 Random Battle: flameingpigey2 vs Monai > for the first time in his rands career, pigey has a negative record in gen 5. To quote a well known rands guy, Monai can "run good" but he can also "run bad" in his matches so it will be interesting to see two players who seem to be discontinuous right now
Gen 8 Random Battle: mj vs HaunterBoy28 > in this rematch of the DS Open finals of almost three years ago, we see two players who are coming from opposite results. Mj lost a close series vs the main character of Halo, while Haunter FINALLY interrupted his losing streak in Rbtt. He does play gen 8 fairly well (he reached the open finals last year) but I still think mj is the best player of the pool. Hype match!
Gen 9 BSS Factory: temp vs IcyPenguin2 > Temp surprised many people by making an appearance and even winning in BSSF against none other than Luisin. Icy is showing why he is one of the best players in this pool but what's going to happen when he faces an unexpected opponent?

Gen 9 Random Battle (Bo5): pokeblade101 vs Referrals > the other highlight of the week when it comes to gen 9 bo5. I assume these two have played something like 789048372 matches against each other on the ladder, so it will be interesting how much the familiarity with the opponent will play a role in this
Gen 8 Random Battle: drowsy69 vs Master Chief > "drosi" has upped his level in the last two weeks but the tests are never over in rbtt, so here is the former Alpha Rabbit ready for him. The gen 8 pool has a lot of people at 2-1 so let's see who wins this
Gen 7 Random Battle: BigWes95 vs Hairoll > Wes debut, nice :D Against the person who always ends up haxing him horribly, not nice D:
No but for real, I hope this is a good series because it will be genuinely entertaining to see these two play with even matchups... for once
Gen 3 Random Battle: drifttrick vs MasterJ007 > Master is surprising me because I didn't expect him to win and play consistently well in gen 3 (he deserved more in the Gang series too). Drifttrick represents the ultimate test for him but I am sure he'll be motivated to face this challenge
Random Roulette: livid washed vs MichaelderBeste2 > when we announced Roulette as a format for Rbtt IX, many people thought of these two players as possible starters. Michael is the slightly better player, livid can play everything and has the upper hand in gen 1 and 2. Most importantly, he coded this format so of course he'll rig it in his favor smh

Gen 6 Random Battle: JustOut459 vs c0mp > I said it already but I have these two as the best players of this pool. I put Justin just a tad ahead of his opponent because of his experience in the tier, but c0mp needs no introduction. Definitely one of if not THE highlight of the week
Gen 4 Random Battle: mdill97 vs Mako > it's hoopaning... (I advise both players to ignore spectators for this match because I can imagine what will happen in the battle chat)
Gen 3 Random Battle: anankaios vs Jordy004 > funny that Jordy lost to Lax two years ago and this week he replaces him in gen 3. Both him and anankaios reached top 8 in the gen 3 open, the tournament where the brit revealed himself to the rands world. He is definitely more accustomed to gen 3 than his opponent, who happens to have more experience with competitive pokemon though
Gen 9 BSS Factory: Slikkles vs Emboar02 > this year Slikkles understood that doing an AMA after going 3-0 is not the move. He'll try to go 7-0 instead and well, the way he is playing definitely supports this idea. Emboar is the other 3-0 player in BSSF so this battle is also going to determine who'll be at the top of the pool and undefeated
