Welcome to How can my role be THIS bad?
In this battle between village and mafia, everyone will receive a role that, quite frankly, sucks. Either it’ll have no obvious way to help you win the game, or it’ll be a role you’re used to seeing, but with a massive drawback.
Equipped with crappy roles and your wits alone, will you be able to track down and kill the mafia and the wolf? Or will the forces of evil (whose powers are no better) be able to pick you off one by one until only they remain?
This is a small and intentionally not-super-serious game. That being said, we have tried to make it as fun and balanced as we know how.
This game will be cohosted by myself and UncleSam.
Rules:
1. Follow all site-wide, Circus, and life rules.
2. This is an Outside Communication game. Players can communicate both on Smogon and in Discord, in private. Dead players cannot communicate new information to living players.
3. This game has a Day phase and a Night phase. During the Night, players can submit actions using the powers defined in their Role PMs. During the Day, each player votes in the main thread on someone to eliminate. At the end of the day, the player with the most votes is eliminated. The game will start on Night 0, which is just like every other night, but any abilities that eliminate players will be inactive on Night 0.
4. On Night 0, you may NOT copy and paste Role PMs, logs and the like. You may do all of these things starting from Day 1. You may never share screenshots of any of these things.
5. Please add me to your group DMs, Smogon conversations, and game servers on Discord.
Game-specific rules:
This game features 3 factions - the Village, the Mafia, and the Wolf. Their win conditions are the following:
There are no other win conditions in the game. Your win condition cannot change.
The Mafia starts out knowing who each other are. The Village does not. Nobody knows who the Wolf is other than the Wolf.
BE AWARE: This game contains some roles that are truly atrocious, and have been included just because I think they’re funny. I’m sorry if you receive one of them. This is part of what you are signing up for.
