With the last survey results, we saw that trying out Deoxys-Defense in the tier was the most appealing choice by the community. With this tour we hope to see how would a potential meta will look with the addition of this Pokemon. Deoxys in all its forms has been banned through most generations up until the recent ones that have give Defense and Speed form a place in regular tiers. BDSP is from Generation 8 and, with its shallow availability of moves, a lot of Pokemon have been nerfed from their prime state. We want to check how would Deo-D perform in this metagame and simply have fun with it allowed in battle.
Disclaimer that this is not a Suspect Test Tournament. It is not guaranteed if its results would make any influence on potential tiering action on freeing Deoxys-Defense. We just hope to see how games would perform with the Pokemon around as it is in the interest of our players. Tournament Rules:
- This is a standard BDSP OU tournament. All matches must be played in "[Gen 8 BDSP] OU".
- Tournament is best of three, single elimination
- Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown or the Smogtours server.
- Use the following challenge code when playing your games:
/challenge gen8bdspou @@@ + deoxys-defense - Extensions will be of 3 days if players couldn't schedule but made an effort to do so.
- Replays are mandatory
