Pending Maybe A Good Team Tour Submission

Hey, I want to host an unofficial team tour called Maybe A Good Team Tour.

It will have a single-elimination tour with 5 playing slots per week for a best of 5 every week, and up to 5 for subs per team. One slot for a guaranteed doubles format, one for a guaranteed singles format, one format that can be either singles or doubles (mixed), and a self-pick and opp-pick. The self and opp pick can be changed every week.

The thing about this tour is that every formst must have at least 3 formats mixed in together, excluding the self and opp picks. For exanple, combinations like STABmons, AAA, and Alphabet Cup (aka STAAABlphabet Cup) will be mixed together. Or other things like Shared Power + Mix N Mega + The Card Game.

The point of the tour is for everyone to have fun while experiencing formats they never thought they would've otherwise.

I do personally like the sound of this tour, although with OMMPL right around the corner this is unfortunately timed. There's also the issue of team tours generally just not having as much outreach overall, so this would need some sort of incentive. The earliest this tour could realistically be done is probably around April to May.

That being said, I do have some suggestions.

• Have self picks be chosen a week in advance or have the self pick be locked for the entire duration of the tournament.
  • This way, the tour stays consistently active without the potential for any added delays if someone doesn't send their self-pick in.
• Have self picks always be 3 mashups. Any more and it starts to get overly complicated and heavily favours those with prior experience.
• Limit subs to 2 or 3. Since there's no drafting present, teams aren't inherently suggested to have substitutes.
• Make sure formats don't clash. For example, no STAB + ABC or MnM + Nature Swap.
  • This is pretty obvious, I think. Tour doesn't work if there's no working code.
• Make it clear if oldgens, rands, and doubles/triples count to the OM count. If they don't, make sure there's some sort of external limit, such as a 1-round limit.

Once these are figured out, I'll have another look. Again, I don't expect this to be doable before April/May, but would definitely like it to.
