Hello, it is time for another RUPL hosted by the two cutest users: Rarelyme and myself. Please use this thread to petition to be a manager. Below you will find mandatory signup templates for both returning and new managers, respectively, as well as an explanation of the team naming convention. We are not physically capable of reading posts that do not follow the signup format and will not consider them.

Team Naming Convention:
Teams must be named after the ability of a Pokemon which is relevant in SV RU or in previous generations. Hosts reserve the right to refuse team names that don't fit this criteria.
Retains and Selfbuy:
Each team will be able to perform ONE selbuy maximum and either one or two retains (or none). This means that managers can decide at most to retain two players (meaning no selfbuys) OR retain one player and selfbuy once. Note that players who managed last year cannot be retained.
Formula used to get the price of each managers:
Manager price = (P + 3) + 0.75 * # of wins last RUPL - 1 * # of loses last RUPL
P is the price of said player in their last RUPL capped at 17.
If they never played RUPL or if their calculated price is lower than 10, it defaults to 10. The result is rounded up.
Retains will be last year’s price + 3 or 10, whichever is higher.
The prices are in thousands.
Other information:
As for how managers will be selected, the process is mostly subjective, but we will be favoring more established members of the RU community for a managerial position. There are also a few hard requirements that need to be met by every manager that will be list below for the sake of transparency.
In order to be considered as a prospective manager, players must:
- Be in good standing (no active or recent infractions/bans on Discord/PS/Forums)
- Not be tournament or circuit banned
- Show some involvement in RU (either via strong forum/discord/ps activity or participation in multiple RU tours)
That’s it! If for some reason you signup but do not meet, at the very least, the first two requirements, then your post will be removed. Depending on turnout, exceptions to the last rule may be made. Do not post in this thread unless you’re signing up to manage.
Deadline:
Signups are due by Feb. 22th at 11:59 PM GMT-5 (EST).
If signups reach a satisfying number before the deadline, the hosts reserve the right to close the thread reasonably before the deadline.
