Choice Specs Thundurus-T carves out a small niche as a powerful wallbreaker with the tools to wear down and break through many of its supposed checks and counters. With a second STAB option in Volt Switch, Thundurus-T is able to to wear down and keep up momentum against its few defensive checks like Galarian Slowking and Blissey while still securing crucial OHKOs against targets like Moltres, Corviknight, and Alomomola lacking Assault Vest that it intends to threaten out. Tera Blast Fairy grants it the ability to cleanly OHKO Dragon-types like Raging Bolt, Kyurem, and Dragapult while super effectively threatening notable Ground-types like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu. Alternatively, Tera Blast Flying lets Thundurus-T utilize its other STAB typing, giving it the chance to OHKO Rillaboom and Hydrapple, 2HKO Galarian Slowking, and secure an OHKO against IronPress Zamazenta that Tera Fairy barely misses out on guaranteeing. Meanwhile, Tera Blast Ice grants Thundurus-T the coveted BoltBeam coverage combination to devastate Ground-types like Gliscor and even Clodsire while letting it OHKO Dragonite, Raging Bolt, and Dragapult. Grass Knot gives it a way to deal with most Ground-types without needing to Terastallize, taking down Great Tusk and Ursaluna with ease and crucially 2HKOing Ting-Lu after Stealth Rock. Knock Off removes key items like Heavy-Duty Boots from walls like Galarian Slowking, Blissey, and Clodsire; it is also able to remove Assault Vest from the former. Item removal allows Thundurus-T to wear these walls down through repeated switch-ins over the course of a game more easily, particularly when using Volt Switch against the non-Electric-immune checks. However, Knock Off comes at the expense of making Thundurus-T even more reliant on Terastallization for coverage. Focus Blast still deals massive damage to Ting-Lu and OHKOes Kyurem while giving Thundurus-T a way to OHKO even specially defensive Iron Treads, Tyranitar, and Excadrill. If used on rain teams, Thundurus-T is able to slot in a perfectly accurate Thunder over Thunderbolt and use Weather Ball in its last moveslot as coverage for the aforementioned Ground-types. A Timid nature is selected to outrun foes such as Kyurem and Landorus-T. A Modest nature can instead be used to amplify Thundurus-T's breaking power even further to the point that it has a chance to 2HKO Galarian Slowking with Thunderbolt. Thundurus-T's Tera types are primarily chosen for its offensive coverage; however, Tera Fairy crucially lets it completely shut down most Raging Bolt sets in combination with Volt Absorb and resist Kingambit's Sucker Punch. Conversely, Tera Flying and Tera Ice are used for the coverage alone and only serve to worsen Thundurus-T's defensive profile.

Thundurus-T is best used on pivot-heavy teams, slotting onto bulky offense as a dedicated wallbreaker while also finding a home on balance teams that need to make progress against more defensive teams. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock and proclivity to pivot around necessitates reliable entry hazard control, making Cinderace and Great Tusk excellent partners with their ability to threaten checks to Thundurus-T like Galarian Slowking, Iron Treads, and, in the case of the latter, Clodsire. Cinderace provides further synergy as another offensive pivot with a propensity to invite in and pivot out of common Electric-weak Pokemon like Alomomola and Moltres, while Great Tusk can give Thundurus-T entry points against defensive Flying-types like Zapdos, Corviknight, and Skarmory. Other forms of hazard control like Galarian Weezing, Iron Treads, and even Hatterene can aid in consistently keeping Stealth Rock off the field while providing defensive utility against Iron Valiant, Galarian Slowking, and Gliscor, respectively. In a similar manner to Cinderace, offensive U-turn users like Scizor and Lokix can be useful in powering a VoltTurn core that brings Thundurus-T in against their own checks like Zapdos and Corviknight. Scizor is notably able to revenge kill Iron Valiant and Enamorus, both of which outspeed and can threaten a weakened Thundurus-T. Alomomola can be used as a more defensive pivot to take a hit and bring Thundurus-T in safely using Flip Turn, a quality replicated by Galarian Slowking with its Chilly Reception; these bulkier pivots help to patch up Thundurus-T's matchups against foes like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, and offensive Zamazenta that can force it out. Thundurus-T's middling Speed tier also gives Ogerpon-W the ability to outspeed and OHKO it after Stealth Rock; other pivoting partners like Rillaboom and Ogerpon can be considered to ease this matchup. These Pokemon additionally check Ground-types like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu looking to punish a Choice-locked Thundurus-T. Ogerpon-W itself can fill this role even better by threatening even more Ground-types like Gliscor and Landorus-T, with Ogerpon-W and Thundurus-T forming a wallbreaking and potentially VoltTurn core that can weaken shared checks like Assault Vest Kyurem and Hydrapple. Entry hazards also provide excellent support for Thundurus-T as a breaker, and offensive hazard setters like Landorus-T or Hisuian Samurott can accentuate this further by themselves carrying pivoting moves to bring Thundurus-T in safely. Late-game cleaners like Kingambit and Zamazenta are wincons able to take advantage of the walls Thundurus-T punches through, notably threatening or even setting up against special walls like Galarian Slowking and Blissey, respectively. One partner that can greatly enhance Thundurus-T's power is Drizzle Pelipper; these rain teams enable it to use Weather Ball and a perfectly-accurate Thunder. In return, an immunity to Electric-type moves helps rain partners like Barraskewda and Pelipper itself against Zapdos and Raging Bolt.

Though Thundurus-T has long since forsaken its role as a centrepiece of rain, in SV OU it instead carves out a niche as a powerful yet independent wallbreaker with tools to wear down and break through many of its supposed checks and counters. A near-unmatched Special Attack lets Choice Specs-boosted Thunderbolt rip through neutral targets, securing clean 2HKOes against Pokemon like Dragonite, Zapdos, and even bulkier variants of Kingambit. T-bolt is self explanatory I feel. Meanwhile, Volt Switch allows it to pivot around its few defensive checks while still securing crucial OHKOs against targets like Moltres or Corviknight that it intends to threaten out. Generation 9's gift to Thundurus-T lies in its third moveslot, as Tera Blast Fairy allows for it to patch up its limited coverage with a Fairy-type attack that grants it the ability to cleanly OHKO Dragon-types like Raging Bolt, Kyurem, and Dragapult. Alternatively, Tera Blast Flying finally lets Thundurus-T utilise its terrifying Flying-type STAB, giving it the chance to hit Grass-types like Rillaboom and Hydrapple, 2HKO Galarian Slowking, and guarantee an OHKO against IronPress Zamazenta. Meanwhile, Tera Blast Ice grants Thundurus-T the coveted BoltBeam coverage combo to devastate Ground-types like Gliscor and even Clodsire while also letting it OHKO Dragonite and Dragapult. Grass Knot in its last moveslot gives it a way to deal with most Ground-types without Tera, taking down Great Tusk and Ursaluna with ease and crucially 2HKOing Ting-Lu after Stealth Rock. Knock Off is a more niche option that helps with wallbreaking by removing key items like Heavy-Duty Boots or Assault Vest from walls like Blissey, Clodsire, and Galarian Slowking, This currently kinda reads like Blissey and Clod run AV, which they ofc do not. Maybe reword it to "by removing key items from walls like Heavy-Duty Boots from Blissey and Clodsire or Assault Vest from Galarian Slowking" coming at the expense of making Thundurus-T even more reliant on Tera for coverage, while Focus Blast still deals massive damage to Ting-Lu and OHKOes Kyurem along with giving it a way to OHKO Iron Treads, Tyranitar, and Excadrill. Thundurus-T can still be paired with rain as it was in generations past, able to slot in a perfectly accurate Thunder over Thunderbolt and Weather Ball as its last-slot coverage for the aforementioned Ground-types. An EV spread fully investing in Special Attack and Speed maximises Thundurus-T's offensive presence, and Self explanatory nature a Timid nature is selected to outrun opponents such as Kyurem and Landorus-T. A Modest nature can instead be used to amplify Thundurus-T's breaking power even further, coming with the cost of it missing these key speed benchmarks. Any specific calcs Modest Thundy-t gets? For example, guarenteeing the 2HKO on Glowking after Rocks. Thundurus-T's Tera types are primarily chosen for its offensive coverage; however, Tera Fairy crucially lets it completely shut down any Raging Bolt carring only Dragon- and Electric-type attacks. Conversely, Tera Flying and Tera Ice are used for the coverage alone and only serve to worsen Thundurus-T's defensive profile.

Access to Choice Specs-boosted Volt Switch makes it a natural pairing with pivot-heavy teams, slotting onto bulky offense as a dedicated breaker while also finding a home on balance teams that need to make progress against more defensive opponents. Cinderace in particular is a fantastic partner on these teams, able to find entry points for Thundurus-T against its switch-ins like Moltres or Alomomola, and other U-Turn users like Scizor or Lokix can be useful in powering a VoltTurn core as well as pivoting Thundurus-T in on Flying-types like Zapdos and Corviknight. Scizor's Bullet Punch is notably able to check Iron Valiant and Enamorus, both of which outspeed and can threaten a weakened Thundurus-T, making it an even stronger pairing. Alomomola itself can be used as a more defensive pivot to take a hit and bring Thundurus-T in safely using Flip Turn, a quality replicated by Galarian Slowking with its Chilly Reception; these bulkier pivots help to patch up its matchups against opponents like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, and offensive Zamazenta that can force it out. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock necessitates entry hazard control, further enhancing its synergy with Cinderace, while Great Tusk also proves to be a fantastic pairing with its consistent removal, its ability to threaten specially defensive walls like Clodsire and Galarian Slowking, and its propensity to bring in defensive Flying-types like Zapdos, Moltres and Skarmory. Other forms of hazard control like Galarian Weezing, Iron Treads, or even Hatterene can aid in consistently keeping Stealth Rock off the field while providing defensive utility against Iron Valiant, Galarian Slowking, and Gliscor, respectively. I would put entry hazard removal as the first point, not only does it then flow further onto the rest of the Cinder points, but also its prob the most important part. On the other hand, entry hazards can also provide excellent support for Thundurus-T as a breaker, and strong setters like Landorus-T or Samurott-H can accentuate this by themselves having the option to carry pivoting moves to bring Thundurus-T in. One partner that can greatly enhance Thundurus-T's power is Pelipper with its Drizzle, though this only further highlights Thundurus-T's middling speed tier in the face of Ogerpon-W as a revenge killer, and pairings like Hydrapple or Rillaboom can feel like a necessity to ease this matchup even without the rain. Other fast foes like Darkrai, Dragapult, and Latios can also capitalise on Thundurus-T's speed to position for a free hit when forcing it out, with the latter two able to stomach an Electric-type attack themselves, and durable switch-ins to these like Ting-Lu can be of great benefit. More offensively-oriented teams can instead opt for Kingambit with its ability to act as a win-con and take advantage of the walls Thundurus-T is able to punch through, and the few Pokemon able to switch in on Thundurus-T like Galarian Slowking or Blissey are typically nothing but fodder against it.

Biggest thing I think is missing here is Pokemon that can abuse/beat Ground-types, as while Thundy can use Tera Blast to beat them, this is still a commitment.

Good work, QC 1/2

Implemented, thanks! Let me know if I should add in more of a focus on having a Ground-type answer, but Thund-T doesn't always come with an explicit punish outside of something that can naturally switch in and beat whatever it's coming in on.

Though Thundurus-T has long since forsaken its role as a centrepiece of rain, in SV OU it instead Choice Specs Thundurus-T (smogdex analyses shouldnt be referring to time-specific instances, including talking about past metagames/formats like this) carves out a small niche as a powerful yet independent (different adjective is/are prob better here, dont want to oversell a C tier mon too much) wallbreaker with tools to wear down and break through many of its supposed checks and counters. With a second STAB option in Volt Switch, Thundurus-T is able to to wear down and keep up momentum pivot (might be good to elaborate it a bit like this in the beginning) around its few defensive checks (such as?) while still securing crucial OHKOs against targets like Moltres or Corviknight (a bulky water like mola is prob good to include too) that it intends to threaten out. (while being a good move into common grounds like tusk and tinglu too) Alternatively, Tera Blast Flying finally lets Thundurus-T utilise its terrifying Flying-type STAB, giving it the chance to hit Grass-types like Rillaboom and Hydrapple, 2HKO Galarian Slowking, and guarantee an OHKO against IronPress Zamazenta. (tb fairy kinda does this too so maybe mentioning it in there too?) Meanwhile, Tera Blast Ice grants Thundurus-T the coveted BoltBeam coverage combo to devastate Ground-types like Gliscor and even Clodsire while also letting it OHKO Dragonite, Raging Bolt, and Dragapult (also the grasses like tera flying). Grass Knot in its last moveslot gives it a way to deal with most Ground-types without Tera, taking down Great Tusk and Ursaluna with ease and crucially 2HKOing Ting-Lu after Stealth Rock. Knock Off is a more niche option that helps with wallbreaking by removing removes key items like Heavy-Duty Boots from walls like Blissey, Clodsire, and Galarian Slowking, also able to remove Assault Vest from the latter, allowing Thundurus-T to wear them down more easily throughout the game especially in conjunction with its repeated Volt Switches, coming at the expense of making Thundurus-T even more reliant on Tera for coverage. Focus Blast still deals massive damage to Ting-Lu and OHKOes Kyurem along with giving it a way to OHKO even specially defensive Iron Treads, (you actually can ohko treads after a bit of chip w gknot if they're no bulk, so maybe emphasizing hitting spdef treads as the selling point of focus like this is better) Tyranitar, and Excadrill. If used on rain teams, Thundurus-T can still be paired with rain as it was in generations past, able to slot in a perfectly accurate Thunder over Thunderbolt and Weather Ball as its last-slot coverage for the aforementioned Ground-types. A Timid nature is selected to outrun opponents such as Kyurem and Landorus-T. A Modest nature can instead be used to amplify Thundurus-T's breaking power even further to the point that it always OHKOes Kingambit after a Spike, (this interaction is not too relevant & rarely occurs so i'd just cut it out imo. a more relevant calc you can include is the 2hko roll with tbolt against glowking) coming at the cost of it missing these key speed benchmarks. Thundurus-T's Tera types are primarily chosen for its offensive coverage; however, Tera Fairy crucially lets it completely shut down any most Raging Bolt sets in combination with Volt Absorb carring only Dragon- and Electric-type attacks. (mention the dark resist against gambit's sucker too) Conversely, Tera Flying and Tera Ice are used for the coverage alone and only serve to worsen Thundurus-T's defensive profile.

Access to Choice Specs-boosted Volt Switch makes it Thundurus-T is a natural pairing with pivot-heavy teams, slotting onto bulky offense as a dedicated breaker while also finding a home on balance teams that need to make progress against more defensive opponents. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock and proclivity to pivot around necessitates sturdy and even multiple entry hazard control, further enhancing its synergy with Cinderace and Great Tusk, the latter of which also has the Cinderace, while Great Tusk also proves to be a fantastic pairing with its consistent removal, its ability to threaten specially defensive walls like Clodsire and Galarian Slowking, and its propensity to bring in defensive Flying-types like Zapdos, Moltres and Skarmory for Thundurus-T. (this last phrase implies that "tusk invites them in and then thundyt can switch into and threaten them after", so while this interaction can be done pretty decently into skarm and zap, molt's flame can be annoying for thundyt so i'd prob remove its mention entirely) Other forms of hazard control like Galarian Weezing, Iron Treads, or even Hatterene can aid in consistently keeping Stealth Rock off the field while providing defensive utility against foes that can force Thundurus-T out, like Iron Valiant, Galarian Slowking, and Gliscor, respectively. Cinderace in particular is a fantastic partner on these teams, (you mentioned cinderace up there already, so just explaining more stuff it can do for thundyt is sufficient) also able to find entry points for Thundurus-T against its switch-ins like Moltres or Alomomola, and other U-Turn users like Scizor or Lokix (not wrong but perhaps we can add more relevant uturn mons that pair well with thundyt, like waterpon) can be useful in powering a VoltTurn core as well as pivoting Thundurus-T in on their Flying-types checks like Zapdos and Corviknight. Scizor's Bullet Punch is notably able to check and revenge kill Iron Valiant and Enamorus, both of which outspeed and can threaten a weakened Thundurus-T, making it an even stronger pairing. (moved this point up here alongside the other 'defensive mons that can switch into thundyts revenge killers' points) Late-game cleaners like Kingambit and Zamazenta can take advantage of the walls Thundurus-T is able to punch through, and the few Pokemon able to switch in on Thundurus-T like Galarian Slowking or Blissey are typically nothing but fodder against it. (also moved this up since they are more relevant teammates when running thundyt, especially when compared to rain) Entry hazards also provide excellent support for Thundurus-T as a breaker, and strong setters like Landorus-T or Samurott-H (add in the aforementioned tinglu too) can accentuate this by themselves having the option to carry pivoting moves to bring Thundurus-T in. One partner that can greatly enhance Thundurus-T's power is Pelipper with its Drizzle on rain teams, though this only further highlights Thundurus-T's middling speed tier in the face of Ogerpon-W as a revenge killer, and pairings like Hydrapple or Rillaboom can feel like a necessity to ease this matchup even without the rain. (this is trying to merge multiple points into one so it reads very messy [i.e. talks about rain and then mons that are good against waterpon looking to revenge kill thundyt]. we've talked about 'walls that stop foes from revenge killing thundyt' a lot that just focusing on rain at this point is prob better, like the rain partners) These Pokemon are also able to check punish Ground-types like Great Tusk, Landorus-T, and Ting-Lu aiming to punish a choice lock, and Ogerpon-W itself can fill this role even better with its ability to threaten Gliscor and Landorus-T.

This seemed a bit too long of a writeup for a C tier mon but doesnt feel like there's nothing wrong with the content either so i'm just gonna leave it to you (if you think the length is fine or if you want to remove some of the fluff/least necessary stuff yourself). Either way, wanted to take a look at this again before stamping. Changes look like a lot but it's mostly just nitpicks and restructuring of sentences

This Item removal allows Thundurus-T to wear them these walls down through repeated switch-ins over the course of a game more easily, particularly when combined with using Volt Switch against the non-Electric-immune checks; (RSC). (AP) However, Knock Off comes at the expense of making Thundurus-T even more reliant on Tera Terastallization for coverage. Focus Blast still deals massive damage to Ting-Lu and OHKOes Kyurem along with while giving it Thundurus-T a way to OHKO even specially defensive Iron Treads, Tyranitar, and Excadrill. If used on rain teams, Thundurus-T is instead able to slot in a perfectly accurate Thunder over Thunderbolt and use Weather Ball as in its last-slot last moveslot as coverage for the aforementioned Ground-types. A Timid nature is selected to outrun opponents foes such as Kyurem and Landorus-T. A Modest nature can instead be used to amplify Thundurus-T's breaking power even further to the point that it has a chance to 2HKO Galarian Slowking with Thunderbolt. Thundurus-T's Tera types are primarily chosen for its offensive coverage; however, Tera Fairy crucially lets it completely shut down most Raging Bolt sets in combination with Volt Absorb, (RC) along with resisting and resist Kingambit's Sucker Punch. Conversely, Tera Flying and Tera Ice are used for the coverage alone and only serve to worsen Thundurus-T's defensive profile.

Thundurus-T is best used on pivot-heavy teams, slotting onto bulky offense as a dedicated breaker wallbreaker while also finding a home on balance teams that need to make progress against more defensive opponents teams. Thundurus-T's weakness to Stealth Rock and proclivity to pivot around necessitates reliable entry hazard control, making Cinderace and Great Tusk excellent partners with their ability to threaten checks to Thundurus-T like Galarian Slowking, Iron Treads, and, (AC) Clodsire in the case of the latter, (AC) Clodsire. Cinderace provides further synergy as another offensive pivot with a propensity to invite in and U-turn against pivot out of common Electric-weak Pokemon like Alomomola and Moltres, while Great Tusk can give Thundurus-T entry points against defensive Flying-types like Zapdos, Corviknight, and Skarmory. Other forms of hazard control like Galarian Weezing, Iron Treads, or and even Hatterene can aid in consistently keeping Stealth Rock off the field while providing defensive utility against Iron Valiant, Galarian Slowking, and Gliscor, respectively. In a similar manner to Cinderace, offensive U-turn users like Scizor and Lokix can be useful in powering a VoltTurn core, (RC) as well as bringing that brings Thundurus-T in against their own checks like Zapdos and Corviknight. Scizor is notably able to revenge kill Iron Valiant and Enamorus, both of which outspeed and can threaten a weakened Thundurus-T. Alomomola can be used as a more defensive pivot to take a hit and bring Thundurus-T in safely using Flip Turn, a quality replicated by Galarian Slowking with its Chilly Reception; these bulkier pivots help to patch up its Thundurus-T's matchups against opponents foes like Cinderace, Iron Valiant, and offensive Zamazenta that can force it out. Thundurus-T's middling Speed tier also gives Ogerpon-W the ability to outspeed and OHKO it after Stealth Rock, (RC); (ASC) and other pivoting partners like Rillaboom and Ogerpon can be considered to ease this matchup; (RSC). (AP) These Pokemon additionally check Ground-types like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu looking to punish a choice lock Choice-locked Thundurus-T. Entry hazards also provide excellent support for Thundurus-T as a breaker, and offensively-oriented offensive hazard setters like Landorus-T or Samurott-H Hisuian Samurott can accentuate this further by themselves carrying pivoting moves to bring Thundurus-T in safely. Late-game cleaners like Kingambit and Zamazenta provide win conditions are wincons able to take advantage of the walls Thundurus-T punches through, notably threatening or even setting up against specially defensive special walls like Galarian Slowking and Blissey, respectively. One partner that can greatly enhance Thundurus-T's power is Drizzle Pelipper; (ASC) these with Drizzle on rain teams giving enable it access to use Weather Ball and a perfectly-accurate Thunder, (RC) while in . (AP) Inreturn, (AC) an immunity to Electric-type moves helps rain-exclusive rain partners like Barraskewda and Pelipper itself against Zapdos and Raging Bolt.
