Tournaments Rules and General Guidelines​


In this thread, you can sign up to manage in RBYOMPL II. There will be six teams.

The following tiers will be included:
  • RBY 1v1 (best-of-7, team preview)
  • RBY Little Cup (best-of-3)
  • Nintendo Cup 1997 (best-of-3, team preview, no changing teams within a set, Cartridge Sleep Clause)
  • RBY STABmons OU (best-of-3)
  • RBY ZU (best-of-3)
  • RBY SU (best-of-3)
The following tiers will be included if there are sufficient player signups:
  • RBY Draft (best-of-3)
  • Stadium Rentals (best-of-3, team preview)

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?:

Reminders:
  • You are encouraged to sign up with an Assistant Manager. You may sign up as a Manager and make an open request for an Assistant Manager.
  • Both the Manager and Assistant Manager will be allowed to buy themselves.
    • Managers will receive 80k credits for the player draft. They will be required to draft at least 8 players.
    • The first self-buy will be 12.5k credits.
    • A second self-buy will be 14.5k credits.
    • These values are subject to change, especially in the event that 8 tiers are included.
  • The inclusion of RBY Draft may delay the tournament start date so the draft can be conducted.
  • Deadline: Tuesday, February 17th @ 8:00 PM UTC-4.

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?: As a player, I was GOATed last year 4-0ing in LC. As a manager, I've learned from my failings as a leader, trained in the mountains and have come back a different enby.

And whoever is assistant managing is probably cool too

Why should the hosting team pick you?: Semi-Finals as manager in last year's edition. Other experiences in PetModsPL, ZUPL, and PetModsPL among other examples. King Billu as a manager won RBYWC as well as participating as manager in RBYPL. As a player, he was also part of the great battalion known as the Mickey Mankeys which won RBYOMPL. Together, we are not just here to compete, but we are here to conquer, and we shall make our presence known on the big stage.

Why should the Hosting Team pick you?: Phil has managed a couple tours, some to finals n semis n stuff. Shes Managed in PUBD, PUCL, NUFL, ADVLTL, GSCPL, and ZUCL. Shes also is on the RBY PU council and plays all rby low tiers quite a bit, including ZU n stuff, so she would be able to support those slots, but shes also just fine at supporting slots in general. I'm newer to the managing scene, but im currently managing a team in ISTT and have driven a team to finals in a discord pl. I really like RBY OMs and can support the slots phil cant.

We will bring the most skill-based positional builds possible and never choose wrapspam. We will never blame rng on losses. We will always play honorably. We decide on bo3? We steamroll game 1&2 and offer to bo5 so our opponents can redeem themselves. We will offer words of encouragement in your discord's public channels to commend your brings and give your play its due respect. We will say ggwp if you predict a clear sack and use it to set up and sweep. We will offer to extend timer if you need a break. We will play on tours to stay honorable and preserve the opponent's mental. We will call any win from our opponents lucky (complimentary). WE ARE THE LUCKITUNGS.
