Rules​

• Follow all rules listed here.
• Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
• If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
• Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
• If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
• Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
• Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

Predictions without writeups are boring.

The Murkrow Mafia (8) vs Slurpy Slugmas (4)
SV LC: Eniigma vs ambi_ - Ambi was someone I had on my radar a bit before the auction and I think they are pretty decent. One of few people who actually managed to play a game of pokemon against me using bad teams and not selling what should be a pretty easy win. I think this kinda correlates with Eniigma being a fine player matchup for them where I wouldn't be surprised if they took a win here. However, its still hard to bold against the top of the SV board week 1. Not too lopsided of a matchup regardless
SV LC: not enjoying lc vs Agera - LC enjoyer has a little bit of a problem with inting in the teambuilder or a lack of confidence in the game it feels like based on a decent amount of teamchoices when you look at their scout. However, they evidently do win a pretty decent amount regardless of that where I can't feasibly predict an upset having not watched a single Agera game
SS LC: rarre vs Quinn - I like rarre and did have them as one of the possible under the radar SV picks on my board. Quinn is a billion times more experienced in tours at this point but I have more faith in rarre off of a positive LCPL campaign and how they have looked in LC (albeit in sv) lately
SM LC: Tempo di anguria vs Voltix - I like tempo a lot as a player, but hes not quite self suffecient and lacks a lot of proper help on this team. I think voltix will load something funky and should come out with a win pretty easily with his momentum from LCPL
ORAS LC: gali vs tazz - I actually do like gali quite a decent amount mons wise and think she was a bargain during the auction, but I don't know if she really has the time to outprep tazz with her playing a decent amount of tours alongside this. Tough week 1 but I think tazz will outclick and probably land a pretty neutral matchup
ORAS LC: Fragments vs etern - Both are tour players across the website with not a lot of experience in the tier. I think etern clicks better and will probably have access to better teams through tazz if he links anything in either his or eterns channel. Regardless, neither team is that good at ORAS prep though
BW LC: Incognition vs Tack - I do really like Tack as a BW lower tiers player and Incognition is on the weaker side of the BW pool, but I feel like she just has a mental blockade with the tier when she plays it. Hope she wins though, and I wouldn't be too surprised if she took this one
DPP LC: Kaboom vs naere - I think 15k for Kaboom is a pretty damn good price as if late. Definitely an LC tour farmer at this point and he is pretty decent at this tier. Naere is perfectly fine too just think Kaboom is a bit more hot right now, even if naere might end up with a more fire team
DPP LC: evakiyama! vs Django - Eva really is going to chase down the leads and show shes better at DPP than ADV. I think Django is like vaguely familiar with this tier but eva plays this tier pretty well and has pretty nice prep ideas through my experience with her in LCWC. I would be quite surprised if she dropped this one
ADV LC: PoseidonWrath vs MZ - I'll bold familiarity with ADV. MZ has played this tier in the past but not really any as if late with the new and modern ruleset
UU LC: xonks vs Piyu - Poor guy going up against Piyu W1 LOLOL. Hope you win though
DLC: Cepha vs volcaronavgc - I'm not really a ball knower but Cepha looks to be fine. Really could not be surprised

SV LC: MichaelderBeste2 vs Lokifan - I think Michael is in better form as a clicker and I'm not quite sure how Loki's play will line up with Envy teams. I'll bold Michael for week 1 but if Loki finds something that clicks with him I do think hes in for a dangerous as hell tour
SV LC: Éric vs Skyiew - I'm not like particularly impressed by Erics SV. He is like very objectively fine but not a lot more than that I think he has better value in the oldgens he didn't lock out of. Skyiew also had a pretty hot LCWC campaign where I do wanna predict the upset here
SS LC: Stecolomaxx vs kythr - Both are pretty fine at the tier. I think kythr clicks better but It would be kind of disrespectful for me to not give Steco some respect at this point. I think he could very well win with this as kythr's not in the best form for team tours right now, but I still think it would be an upset and I'm not willing to call it
SM LC: wail vs fate1q - Experienced consistent SM player vs non experienced SM LC player
ORAS LC: Ampha vs Mister Magnus - Ampha plays this tier some and I think they are like okay even if not great, but BA does perform pretty well as if late and I do think he is motivated on this team. I would be decently surprised to see an upset here
BW LC: Monai vs Envy - I'll go with Envy because while I think Monai can take care of his own prep better well, I don't really think this is a great environment for him since he doesn't have a lot of people to bounce ideas with
DPP LC: Eeveeto vs HSOWA - HSOWA is pretty consistent in this tier, but Eeveeto does well in LCWC and I'm willign to bet on the explosiveness here. I would bold HSOWA vs the other DPP starters though
DPP LC: rineko vs Zcarlett - I don't really love either of them in this tier to be completely honest, last time I teamed with her she struggled a lot with what seemed to be nerves by unexplainable plays. If she has gotten over that as if late, I think she could have a pretty decent campaign as the prep mind is there. But I will bold rineko off of the latest particularly impressive ADV run by her
ADV LC: natu vs shreyashhy - I think either could win here honestly. I'll bold Ant for the more consistent experience when playing this tier, but shreyashhy is a strong player and I barely don't think they favored here so a win is certainly possible.
UU LC: vooper vs bleahey - I like vooper more as a a clicker, even if bleahey is more familiar with the tier. I think vooper will have something fun and meta knowledge won't be too much of an issue for him to the point where I would favor towards bolding bleahey
DLC: Frixel vs Akaru Kokuyo - Top of pool pretty easily me thinks. Frixel is a fine clicker but the help seems to be isolated to Eric on this team which I'm not sure will cut it
DLC: Larry vs HAVOCKNIGHT - I'm not really familiar with either of these guys in dubs but I know Larry does play VGC so theres probably something that will translate over to here with him being a pretty solid clicker in general. But yeah could go either way I dunno
