Tournament UMCL I - Manager Signups

Welcome to the UMCL I Manager signup thread!
- UMCL will have 8 teams, each with minimum 12 players (8 slots 4 subs) with 120,000 credits to build the roster.
- Managers may self-buy for 15,000 credits. Teams will have 2 managers each.
- All slots will be flex slots, with 4 for each team to select from the following UMs: 1v1, 2v2 Doubles, 4v4 Doubles UU, AG, Monocolor, NFE, Ubers UU, and ZU. The same tier may not be selected by a team twice in one week.
- Flex slot and roster decisions will be required at be submitted at to-be-announced deadlines.
- Tiebreakers are simultaneous pick and two bans (with a backup ban if needed), and the final format will be randomized from the remaining options.
- This information is pending to change depending on future developments.

Team Name: Pikachu Party

I used to be an active member of the Ubers UU community. While I have since left that position, I am still quite familiar with the dynamics and members of the tier, especially having participated in UUbersPL. These days however, I am more known for my activity in the NFE community where I managed NFEPL last year, entirely supported the Luso Phione's NFE slot in UMFL, and got drafted for NFEOL where I am both playing SM and helping support our SV slots. Nasir, while not particularly known for his presence within UM communities, has a history of managing experience which does still include a number of UM team tournaments. He has managed various world cups such as UWC and LTWC, managed UMFL to the semifinals, is currently managing NFEOL, and won PTSL - a tournament where eight out of the twelve slots were flex slots. If chosen, we are confidant that we would be able to put together a strong draft that suits the tournament format, and a be able to foster positive teamcord environment where all of our players feel supported.

I've participated in many UM tournaments and managed tours such as UMPL, UMBD, AGPL, AGWL, and 1V1WC, winning most of them. I have a good understanding of UM and its players.Kafkafka has been active in the UM community, participating in competitions such as UMPL, UUBPL, AGWL, 1V1WC, and ZUWC. He has also managed events like CAPWC, PUWC UWC DPPW, RUPL, and CNPL, demonstrating sufficient skill and management ability.
We are familiar with the process and have enough experience and information to build an active team and actively participate in the tour.

I've participated in many UM tournaments and managed tours such as UMPL, UMBD, AGPL, AGWL, and 1V1WC, winning most of them. I have a good understanding of UM and its players.Kafkafka has been active in the UM community, participating in competitions such as UMFL, UUBPL, AGWL, 1V1WC, and ZUWC. He has also managed events like capwc, RUPL, and CNPL, demonstrating sufficient skill and management ability.
We are familiar with the process and have enough experience and information to build an active team and actively participate in the tour.

Why should you be chosen to manage: I have managed smogon tournaments in past years, after taking a break from it all last year, I'm back and eager to manage something. From my part i have exp playing nfe and zu doing well in Ubers uupl, zupl and nfepl then i can support my players, i also won 1v1pl ( i was carried ) and also played Agpl.

Pokemh managed agwl this year and won last year, know about ubers UU more than me and I think we'd be an almost complete duo to manage and put up a pretty tough fight against the other teams.

Why should you be chosen to manage: Me and Logan won UMPL, I managed in all of NDWC, NDPL, and Ubers UU PL (won) and nearly tied Taka for the best Ubers UU record, LogIce is experienced with 1v1/2v2 and is a manager for rbtt, doubles derby (2x), draft farm league, and 2v2pl. With this in mind (and more!) I believe that our primary strength as a managing pair lies in our prior experiences with a wide selection of tiers in tours and working with all sorts of people which not only allows us to ensure the best possible environment for people playing in the tiers we are most familar with, but also nets sufficient experience to help compensate for the wider variety of metagames we may be less experienced with in the drafting phase.

Why should you be chosen to manage:
Lettuce is a high zu and nfe presence where lettuce keeps his activity and his knowledge at high level, he is zu vr council, he made final in both ZUOL and the most recent ZUPL, he played umpl where there zu team core had a really good record where lettuce built a lot there. Lettuce managed umfl to final tiebreak.
As for myself : last year I managed umbd, nfepl, Ubers UU pl, umfl, omcl, I have high knowledge about how to manage a team tour, I never had any issues with posting line up in time etc. In order I was top 6 in umbd, made semis last nfepl with a solid 5-1, would have qualified in playoff with one more points of differential in Ubers uu where I was in 2-3 ( 2-0) in sv, I also made round of Ubers uu seasonal, I managed and won umfl, and finaly 6th place again in omcl I think. I’m now managing 2v2pl where I believe are taking the first seed rn, and agwl as well as nfe Olympiad where we also #1, I have high knowledge in both of this tier and overall very familiar with ums playerbase.
We will be able to bring the best environnement for our team and lead our team if you give us the chance to the win.

Why should you be chosen to manage: Mist and I are both currently managing 1v1cl and 2v2pl respectively, whilst we both have experience with shadow managing and I've managed discord tours. we are both relatively new to the managing scene but both are committed to ums and together share a wide knowledge of and experience in the tiers, playing in a variety of team tours between us. we also both have found success in ums, with mist going 6-3 in umpl and myself going 3-1 among other results

Accomplishments: rofna managed in umpl, played in the last 2 iterations of agwl and agpl, played in umbd, and has won countless (like 15) other official team tours both playing and managing. an explanation really isn't needed for why rofna is an immensely reputable player, especially in the um community. i'm currently playing 1v1cl and i know the 1v1 and 2v2 communities well, complementing rofna's experience in the 6v6 tiers. my managing record is less remarkable but i've won euphonos legacy league (lol) as manager and managed my hgpl and istt teams to playoffs as well as managing axpl but we don't talk about that tour heh
