Hi, ndcl teambuilder bruh504 here with the teams I built or assisted in through the run. It was certainly a different experience for me to try to build in a different headspace to enable optimal player playstyles, with varying success. Only real regrets was passing midsauce and the semis incident, but I'm satisfied with the teams performance and improvements throughout the tournament. As usual, click sprites for teams and dm me if a spread catches your fancy.

Vlarch preferred to bring slopcat ceru due to a lack of prep talk (mb) so I just built for Lost and myself.
Lostmemories vs NoName
(L)

Nonames scout was empty and lost wanted to rfn. So this was thrown together to try to cover whatever loo or isza passes (at least thats what I believed would happen). Belt zama and nmi kyu are pretty strong together and can be brought in through the off/defensive zap + synth turn pon core. The boots off tusk is the only removal and tran is last to be a fake asf yard/volc answer and get up rocks.
Me vs Ryuji
(W)

This team is kinda funky, the scout suggested scarf tran since ryuji's usual answers dont actually like full eruption but i'm a scrub who can't pilot it. So instead I stole this beauty off an old isza team, 4a grassium to lure and obliterate gliscor, av mola and dihh nite. This benefits scarf shifu immensely. Torn, ferro and chomp form the hazard core, iron head ferro is for kyurem and sd tail chomp is here to spread more and more chip for the eventual scarf shifu endgame. Mdia also plays into the hazard game (barely) but is the primary offensive "i check everything cause im fast and i hit like a semitruck".

Probably the weakest week for prep? Vlarch loaded his bread and butter but got rained and Lost loaded a team I've never seen in my life (its heat tho) but got slopped.
Me vs jus
(W)

I made myself some goodstuffs double water somewhat inspired by the team avarice used vs me. The shifu pon lati stays the same, beam lati for birds and dnite, pr pon cause im bolt weak and jet shifu as a volcarona bandaid. Tusk is compressed to solo the entire hazard game and is helmet to trade vs opposing tusk more favorably. This opens up tornadus to be a thornadus in his backside who sponges all special hits and brings in the kingambit, pon or lati.

Was having issues building vlarchs slot this week cause kyu lop might actually be bad, so stall was loaded instead to capitalize on the offense spam. As for the the other two-

Ttar has no switch ins, especially from what was showing for slikkle's scout so that was the primary focus. Torn ferro is the hazard game summed up and check pon, with leech tect ferro being hired for more longevity and hw torn to answer dengo. SD 3a Chomp is a THREAT and really helps vs steels and birds. AV zama is a tech for peak volc paranoia and fini last is really nice as a wincon who either takes advantage of mola or reveals av which chomp or ttar plow through.

S/O budy electraine for agreeing to more OU for hype purposes and for the hosts for greenlighting it

Some more goodstuffs with fat synthpon. Spdf lando knock lando is nice to force a fog vs ghold teams, absorb hatt nuzzles with less worry, and catch ting lu, mola and the birds with their pants down. Zama and mlati are threats as always with tran and pagos fulfilling their roles as safety nets and as the hazard game. In hindsight I would put edge over fog on lando for yard, xard, and the birds since pagos already spins.

Originally built for vlarch but ended up using it here. I love DD lando so much but there aren't many opportunities to fit it, luckily its perfectly equipped for screens slopping. Zama is by far the best screens setter in the tier, as the last slot can be anything, in this case slam in because anti mdia, lele and general faries is so nice in winning the offense head to head. This freaky chomp set also assists in cheating vs lele since roseli with the given spdf lets you eat with ease (49% max) and always click rocks. SD dtail is quite interesting to make you less of a sitting duck vs gliscor asw. DD taunt mgyara owns stall and prevents fog, also insanely difficult to deal with behind screens. Serp is the ogerpon answer and just paralyzes everything and we all know volcarona is problematic behind screens.

Veti was subbed in this week, so there was a bit of freedom to tailor the teams to the MU and have someone to rein in the idea if its off the deep end.
Lost vs Cow
(L)

Cm kiss lele is a potent set which can just force a kill and heal back revenge killing attempts from mons like garchomp, urshifu and diancie. I haven't used scor in a bit and I dont believe it would have been expected from lost, so I threw it in there with tran as the hazard stackers. Mlati does its job of nuking the opponent and the dragon checking duties. Pecharunt pivots, spinblocks, and acts as an annoying bastard and urshifu takes care of the offense mu. I dont really think this team is that good in hindsight with so many hazard weak mons with no removal.
Me vs Fleance
(W)

I repurposed an old Sealoo HO with tank chomp over sash boom lando. I think every other set is the exact same lol.
Veti vs Clawed Winter
(W)

Pon volc is kinda strong, especially with spikes pon laying the ground with spikes for lo volc to shred through av mola, chomp and z zama. Speaking of z zama, we have that but with howl to muscle through pech and ghold, no one knows the last move so its just fang for lando. Mdia, treads and runt are the hazard game core. Dia is teched tect off of that isza team (given how scuffed the scarf lando mu is here valid) and runt solves HO's dog and ursh issue (also stolen from an isza team).

Lost reloaded from last week with tox over wisp on tran but unfortunately the weakness to kyurem was exposed

.
Me vs Stories
(W)

Kyurem looked good and I havent built specs kyurem in ages so I went with that. Gking complements kyurem greatly with fsight and chilly reception with flamethrower tacked on because the scizor mu wasn't great. Knock sciz is here as a wincon and has the usual steel defensive profile, loves specs kyurem exploding birds and rona asw. Spdf chomp is here to not instalose vs volc and it gets up rocks. Torn is the fogger and is somewhat forced to run hw because dengo/sciz is an issue if you play bad. Rockium Zama kinda just kills the shit out of birds and volc as well, excellent pairing with scizor.
Veti vs Nongy
(L)

Team was originally build for arty but unfortunately he had to sub out. The new mu (into my boy) was TERRIBLE, the team we used being very slop-coded and thus weak to zard-y. On to the team, kyu lop is a classic combo with double prio lop here due to paranoia of volc/ceru being loaded. Treads compresses literally all the hazard control into itself as usual and torn also assists in that regard with taunting slower rockers. Hamu gking finish out the pivot core with gking having psynoise for sub volc.
W6
Mild mishap behind the scenes of the scouts being in the wrong channels, oops. Didnt change much in the end because lost ended up fighting a sub and veti fought [REDACTED] stall which was definitely NOT in the scout.
Lost vs Akaru
(W)

Lost made the shell here (ended up alot less sore on the eyes than my attempt) and I just filled it out. Band vile went dummy into the scout so it was the main focus. Vile is pretty straight forward when it comes to its strengths and requirements. The pivot requirement is fulfilled by pecharunt and corviknight, both of which also beat problem mons like zama, lopunny, kingambit, scizor and melmetal. In return vile handles ghold, grounds, ting lu, torn, lati, kyurem and ace (offensively) while spreading knock. Second requirement of strong hazard game is answered by pagos lu dia, with pagos and dia removing/disincentivising hazards and dia and lu setting them up. Hatt looked like a potential load from kayzn/slop too so lu is heavy slam (also flattens lele).
Me vs Gewwge
(W)

I stole a sealoo team from last season. Somewhat self explanatory, punch through stuff with sd shifu opening the way for a dihhnite clean. Ofc the gameplan for these types of offenses are quite flexible so play how you want.
W7
Luckily we already qualled and I was traveling so not alot of pressure on any1. About was subbed in and made her own thing and I just gave lost Lameflame rain.
Veti vs Genhui
(L)

Zap sciz king is too sexy of a backbone especially into this limited scout mu. Zama treads slop-core fills out the offense killing and hazards needs and ogerpon fulfilled the breaker requirement while offensively checking threats like yard and chomp. Pretty bread and buttery.
Semifinals
So i didn't have internet for most of the week which was quite inconvenient, luckily I had some of the old scouts saved on my phone so I built using cave drawings. Abouts team is above, and I want to elborate on cm lati as that is an innovation I will glaze. You beat kyurem, you beat av mola, you remove the option of switching around resists since you can boost up and break through with sheer strength. Unfortunately it loaded into the worst mu possible, but the concept is worth exploring.
Me vs Ineros
(W)
S/O budy electraine for agreeing to more OU for hype purposes and for the hosts for greenlighting it (again)

Team is somewhat similar to smth I made for vs Airi, but with chomp over treads with a cheeky idea. For how powerful sub scale chomp is, my only gripe is the lack of chances for you to guess right since your health is stagnant. But with lefties you get a bunch of chances at the cost of reliable scales, but atp you just need to hit the scale shot for the speed boost. The burn spam from ace and rotom is pretty nice as well since you can catch a ground or physical water which means you get more subs. Specs lele also appreciates the attack debuff to trade more efficiently.

Synthpon is a powerful set with very defined weaknesses such as status and dragons, so healbell fatty nite comes in to alleviate this issues in theory. Goattran and king lu form the hazard core which can do a little trolling. Rest lu is tacked on last minute since it pp stalls kyurem if leftovers are active and bellnite can wake it up. Support megazor is nice, providing a lele, pon, lu, mola and kyurem switchin who can pivot and knock. Scarf lando in the back really looves all the hazards and can fog in a pinch + checks dnite.
Dorron vs Slikkles
(L)

First off, sorry for feeding you to the wolves, thats on me brother. Anyway Lost came up with this diabolical skarm set, SD fog. In theory its here to beat pon better and potentially up its threat potential vs the non ghold ghosts, but like the guy from Spy Kids 2 said: "This shit is ass". The team was then teched abit to help out vs ghold, sball lele, knock pex and lu melm lop. Unfortunately, this shit cant break corv so guess what was loaded. Remove melm and replace him with ghold and if you wanted the ingame experience change the pex ability.
Finals
I built 0 teams. Iride passed the CIA certified pon ttar (slight edits on my end for the mu), Electraine, Miciah and Sealoo helped About and everyone pitched in with L0st to cook something devious.
Once again thanks for my ou mans for putting up with me dropping teams 2 minutes before the game, and I'll catch ya'll in WC.
