Collage of my brainstorming so far. I think the pirate petrel, greaser griffin, and sniper condor (in that order) are my strongest candidates, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I made a quetzalcoatlus! I didn’t like the idea of doing a bird, but a pterosaur seemed more up my alley. To play up the Dark type, I wanted to go for something intimidating, so why not go for the biggest creature to ever take flight? Quetzalcoatlus have some really freaky anatomy, but they have some cool features too like their gigantic beaks and fun crests - in this case meant to loosely resemble an old cartoony blast effect along with the tail “feathers”.
This is still quite WIP, not sure if I’ll stick with it but if I so I may mess with the proportions and patterns a bit, and I’ll probably want to include some supporting material to show off its torso and hind legs better, as well as doing various actions. Stay tuned!

Read the CAP so far completely blind this morning. If this thing's using Beak Blast, I thought I'd give it one of earth's biggest, baddest beaks!
It's a cannoneer Dicynodont! Heavily inspired by Placeria and Lystrosaurus, who I think ought to get a Pokemon at some point. Big ol' lizard-cow with a beak is such a cool ancient animal. If anything is capable of generating crazy beak blasts, I think an animal the size and shape of a rhino ought to pump them out. I like to think its gastrointestinal system works like a cow where it repeatedly grinds up the same food over and over again, except instead of cud coming back into the mouth it's lasers.
But TheMantyke, I hear you ask, does this truly sufficiently convey Dark / Flying? I say shooting people at any provocation certainly sates the Dark-type. The Flying-type? Well, Pokemon-types have always been pretty malliable and weird. You can always have weird accommodations based on the design. Decidueye doesn't exactly scream ghost, and Dhelmise has like 4 types it could be. I think the giant beak is enough gas there instead of tossing very labored wings on there.
Still not satisfied? Well...

Tis' a dream catcher that became dark type because of all the nightmares it catches and absorbs :'D Was thinking of giving it wing feather arms. Not sure about how to put a peak or similar on it yet.

South polar skua + bank robber
I was gonna commit to heron, but I discovered this bird last night and fell in love with this concept. Skuas are birds that steal other birds' fish, so making it a thief was a natural fit. The fish is meant to resemble a moneybag. Its connection to Beak Blast is more liberal but I came up with the idea that its beak heats up its catches as it's flying. The design will need a bit more work but it's such a strong start already and I hope y'all dig it too :))
Also Stakeout would be PERFECT and Thermal Exchange would be a good fit too

Peacock, but instead of the typical eyespots this guy sports the ones of those moths who have eyespots to look like a larger bird (with a faux beak body to boot). Thinking that beak blast comes from the fake beak and/or it lures you into attack while charging from the real one. I think this guy would work pretty well with a lot of the abilities being discussed like Stakeout or Opportunist~
