Shawty's like a Meloedy in My Head (1815+)

https://pokepast.es/30021c4ea9a3c52d

A pokemon I've always thought was really cool since it debuted was :Meloetta: . Being one of the few pokemon with the ability to switch typings as well as its appearance when shifting and a really cool signature move in Relic Song. With these characteristics as well as good special bulk, good physical and special coverage and outspeeding :Great Tusk: it felt like it had the ability to be one of the cornerstones of a team in OU and this team is my attempt to do that.

:Meloetta: :
with access to great coverage and being able to run mixed sets with more ease than most pokemon, :Meloetta: felt like it could be a fun pokemon to build with. WIth the ability able to attack into :Kingambit: or target the unsuspecting :Blissey: that is on the physical side . To have a stab attack to do good chip into mons like :moltres: or :zapdos: as well as bypass substitute to target into tedious mons to deal with like sub protect :Kyurem: as well as target more physically bulky pokemon like :Dondozo: or :Great Tusk: the next moveslot goes to hyper voice. Originally the third moveslot was triple axel to target into :Gliscor: and :dragonite: , but with two other pokemon on this team with ice type moves already and with the original version having some difficulty dealing with air balloon :Gholdengo: I instead decided to opt for shadow ball. The last moveslot is meant to chip into :slowking-Galar: as well as just having a stab option with psyshock here. With it only taking 18 from sub tect kyurem as well as modest scarf :enamorus: only doing about 25 with moonblast this guy has enough special defense to tank some hits , and with tera water it can also act as a check into :Walking Wake: if need be making it serve the dual role of offensive and defensive stalwart on this team.

:Alomomola: :

With good defensive bulk as well as a massive hp :Alomomola: is a good physical wall. To target into physical attackers and neuter them with the 30 percent burn chance as well as neutralize leftovers on mons where this may be a necessity the first moveslot is scald of course. For a stab physical option as well as a move that allows for the slow pivot to wish pass into other mons on the team that second move slot is flip turn to control the tempo of the match whenever possible. for a moveslot that can target into :Ogerpon-wellspring: as well as an option for supereffective damage into :Dragonite: and :Zamazenta: the third moveslot is play rough with tera fairy to both enhance the stab on this move as well as make it so that if need be against Idef :Zamazenta: you can resist those body presses and make it possible to either beat the Zama 1v1 or wish pass into :Sinistcha: to handle that without taking too much. The last moveslot was of course wish to best support the other mons of this team that don't have access to recovery.

:Ting-Lu: :

With some of the best bulk we've seen in pokemon if feels like :Ting-Lu: is almost unkillable at times and with stealth rocks and spikes to support this team this pokemon felt like the perfect complement to the other pokemon on this team, so both hazards take up two of the slots on Ting-Lu. to have a stab option as well as target into mons like :Gholdengo: who can be irritating into this team the second moveslot is taken up by Earthquake. For The last moveslot to force the opposition to deal with hazards as well as force out setup sweepers the last moveslot was given to whirlwind to try and avoid getting swept. To deal with the special attackers of both sun and rain teams the tera typing on this team is water to try and resist as many of the special attackers as possible.

:Sinistcha: :

With hazards going up to support the team it felt necessary to have a spin blocker on this team and with access to strength sap and matcha gotcha, great physical defense and the ability heatproof :Sinistcha: seemed up to the task. The first moveslot is one of the best moves for checking physical threats like :Great Tusk: and :Zamazenta: and with access to a cornucopia of free strength saps from mons like that and :Sinistcha: becomes one of the hardest physical walls to break through.
With The first attacking move on this pokemon being matcha gotcha, an essentially better version of scald with grass typing and healing and that move perfectly complements this pokemon and can make the match instantly over if you get a burn on something like idef :Zamazenta: . To target into threats like :Gholdengo: and :Dragapult: on switch in as well as a solid stab option to target other pokemon and it was clear that shadow ball fit this pokemon well. Finally To transform this pokemon from a defensive and spinblocking wall into a late game sweeper the last move is calm mind as this can quickly turn :sinistcha: from a defensive to offensive pokemon that can eventually be your pokemon that breaks through. To give it a good defensive typing that can break teams eventually the tera typing is fairy although in case you run into t spikes or tspikes stall it may be a good idea to run poison so that you can soak them up in case tusk either gets koed or knocked (I think I would recommend this option).

:Great Tusk: :

With access to rapid spin and a solid speed tier and bulk :Great Tusk: is the best spinner in this generation hands down and is one of the best means of avoiding dealing with this hazards. In case we ran into stall or heavy duty boots spam the most important moveslot on this tusk is knock off to force the opposition into dealing with the hazards :Ting-Lu: gets up and with one of the most popular spin blockers being air balloon :Gholdengo: knock off provides the perfect opportunity to get a ko and make it so you won't have to deal with hazards long term. To target into :Landorus-Therian: and :Gliscor: and Dragonite that second move slot is ice spinner as it is one of the best coverage moves that :Great Tusk: Gets. To have a powerful stab attack that does major damage to just about anything we're of course sticking with ol' reliable; Headlong Rush as it applies pressure even on defensive pokemon like :Pecharunt: and is the best move of :Great Tusk: . Finally to of course remove hazards and get a speed boost the last slot is rapid spin. in case we need a means to beat :Tornadus-Therian: or :Zapdos: but absolutely no switch ins really available the tera on this pokemon is steel so that we guarantee we can do what we need to with this pokemon.

:Zamazenta: :

With a good attack stat and being a solid option for the speed control on a team with a speed tier only really below :Dragapult: and :Deoxys-speed: this mon felt like the perfect fit for being this teams physical breaker. The first moveslot is just for a powerful stab option to break through as with tera fighting zama can even 2 shot :Dondozo: and :Alomomola: as well as being able to oneshot :Tinkaton: and :Raging Bolt: without any bulk invested , making it an extremely good physical breaker. To target into :Pecharunt: as well as :Gholdengo: with a super effective attack as well the second moveslot is crunch. To be able to target into long term threats like :Gliscor: and :Dragonite: as well as have a super effective attack into :Great Tusk: the third moveslot is Ice Fang. Finally to be able to ohko :Moltres: and chip down :Zapdos: heavily without risking burn and the last moveslot is of course stone edge.

Together these mons manage to work together with solid cohesion and with good bulk speed and move diversity as well as the unique characteristic of being immune to ghost type moves because of the normal secondary typing.
