INTRODUCTION

Yooo~~~ whats up guys? Peace be upon you!

My name is Bob from Indonesia, nice to meet you! This RMT here is gonna be a bit special for Bob, since he want to celebrating 10 years of himself being here! When it comes to “important” RMT, people usually has tendencies to open with ultra-meaningful and thematic song on Youtube that no one will click on it, and then throwing shoutout to their friends (some strong looking gangster like ‘Jay’ or other funky-looking aesthetic nickname with less than 7 letter). Some even dedicated enough to decorate their RMT, well good for them. Bob can do the same of course, but for now Bob will start yapping as soon as he caaan~~~!!!

AH! AH! AH! OH YEAH!!!

TEAM BUILDING PROCESS

Bob is a simple married man, casual player who plays on his spare time or just 3-5 minutes on quick break between his works. He got no time to play 50+ turn maaan. So every times he building some team, brain dead hyper offense comes naturally on his mind. As long as Bob can remember, he almost always goes with this simple set of self-rule:
  1. All move must have 100% accurate, no bullshit miss allowed
  2. Faithful on orthodox text-book FWG + SDF core
  3. Must have Ground, Flying and Dark Pokemon
  4. Break rules number 1-3 if he must
:Deoxys-Speed::Ogerpon-Wellspring::Iron Moth:
On one faithful day, Bob’s Consigliere told Bob that hyper offense on current meta has decent chance to beat any team with proper plan, he suggest Bob to build hyper offense based on hazard stacking. We agree to start with Deoxys-Speed, Ogerpon Grass-Water and Iron Moth. We already got solid hazard stacker and FWG core right from start.

:Deoxys-Speed::Ogerpon-Wellspring::Iron Moth::Gholdengo:
When Bob and his Consigliere brainstorming, Napoleon (Bob’s Batavian Shorthair Cream Cat) tossing some spared shiny Rupiah coin on the floor (Indonesia currency mind you), as if Napoleon is trying to tell “Gholdengo”. It was the best Pokemon at the moment to prevent any attempt to removes hazard, so we agree with Napoleon.

(This is Napoleon, Bob's cat)

:Deoxys-Speed::Ogerpon-Wellspring::Iron Moth::Gholdengo::Great Tusk:
Suddenly Napoleon is spinning around. Bob himself is by any mean cannot talk with an animal, but Bob understand Napoleon is trying to suggest that we need spinner. But is it Rapid Spin or Mortal Spin? After consulting with Lady M (Bob’s wife with almost-zero Pokemon knowledge, but she knew Pikachu and Snorlax), we decide to put Great Tusk as spinner.

:Deoxys-Speed::Ogerpon-Wellspring::Iron Moth::Gholdengo::Great Tusk::Dragonite:
Jay called Bob at final phase of team building. At first Bob thought that Jay is trying to sell bongcloud toy to us like he usually does. But to our surprise, Jay just calmly whispers “Dragonite” in trance like manner, and then hung up the call. Bob and his Consigliere concur that it is not a bad idea actually.

Without Fairy and Dark Pokemon, Bob brokes his own self-rule but there is no big problem. We can use Tera Fairy to gives the team SDF core if needed. The team should be easy enough to pub stomp low ladder while still consistent enough on high ladder.

OH YEAH! BANANA MILK SHAKE!? LETS GOOO!!!

THE TEAM

Bob and his Consigliere truly understand that you guys have different skills and experiences when it comes to Pokemon, especially Single OU in general. Some of you are delutional enough and in borderline megalomania, feels like a tactical prodigy who kissed by God, and only loses simply by bad luck. One of you self-proclaimed Bobby Fischer of Pokemon at some point (and Bob likes him). But most of us are actually mediocre player either with acceptable personality or forever child with emotional intelligence equal to naughty three years old.

Not everyone is blessed like Bob, an actual tactical prodigy who kissed by God and only loses simply by bad luck. A handful of you may no need in depth explanation of the team, just looking at PokePaste and you ready to go, thats cool and you can skip this section. But here Bob is gracious enough to explain basic for those who need it most.

deoxys-speed.png

Deoxys-Speed @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Psychic
- Ice Beam / Superpower
- Taunt

Bob’s Consiglere advocates Deoxys-S as dedicated lead against almost anything. The only situation where we want to lead with something else is when we saw Hatterene or/and Iron Treads, which we preferably lead with Ogerpon Grass-Water. Deo-S main job is to set up Stealth Rock and chip something. He can also break Focus Sash lead, gain possible information of opposing held item, and has a chance to kill on unsuspecting foe (Bob prefer plays simple without overthinking, postpone Stealth Rocks and just blasting around versus anything that takes super-effective on Psychic/Ice Beam). Superpower is viable alternative over Ice Beam. Tera Ghost is standard to prevent Rapid Spin but rarely used. We moving on yeah?

ogerpon-wellspring.png

Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ivy Cudgel
- Knock Off
- Spikes
- Wood Hammer Encore

Thanks to Jay’s underground networking and the tactical intelligence from Bob’s Consiglere, Bob learned that rain team is threatening as ever and can 7-0 our team without Water Absorb. Outside of her defensive utility, Ogerpon Grass-Water mostly will be on charge either on early-mid game or second choice of lead. Her primary role is to chip anything she can hit, Knock Off something, and set as many Spikes as possible. On her fourth moves slot, sher originally carries Wood Hammer to simply hit hard. But we have hard matchup on test run against bulky setup from the like of Garganacl or Dondozo. After fitting Encore on last slot, the stock price for this team greatly surge and have better odds versus fat/balance/stall.

ironmoth.png

Iron Moth @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 120 HP / 132 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Discharge
- Toxic Spikes

Usually comes early-mid game and can take advantage by throwing Fiery Dance on KO ranged opposing Pokemon that was chipped by Deoxys/Ogerpon/Hazard/Anything. The EVs gives speed boost upon switch in for the first time, its nothing new and and an open secret for everyone, but let’s pretend this is something out of this world yeah? Discharge for coverage over common Energy Ball or Dazzling Gleam. Discharge is Bob’s Consigliere recommendation to surprise kill Pelipper, greatly damage Toxapex, and able to fish paralyze on mirror matchup or something like Dragapult so the next switch-in have more favorable matchup. Toxic Spikes is not our primary gameplan, we do not always throw them on every game, but it works wonderful when we actually need it (mind games versus Sucker Punch or Thunderclap, on predicted Protect, etc). Tera Grass is standard defensive option for Iron Moth. It can also potentially snowball which is baller.

gholdengo.png

Gholdengo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain / Flash Cannon
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Trick

Our hard-working Deoxys and honest Ogerpon (and maybe also Iron Moth) already working their best to set-up hazard. Thanks to Napoleon’s suggestion, we have solid Pokemon to prevent any attemp by opposing player to removes our hazard. Make It Rain over Flash Cannon, because Gholdengo usually hit and run, but the latter is also viable. Trick to have better match up against passive team. When still holding Scarf, Gholdengo provide speed control for this team.

greattusk.png

Great Tusk @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin
- Temper Flare

Bob and his Consigliere loves how Great Tusk can deal great damage for just being there from first switch in, and still able hit hard without Booster Energy. It is no doubt a big bonus, but his primary job is to removes hazard, especially in the situation where Dragonite need to keep his Multiscale or we are cannot afford having Sticky Web on our side. Headlong Rush and Ice Spinner is classic near perfect coverage. If Head Smash is 100% acc (it will miss all the time obviously), it would be much better than Ice Spinner. But not even Illuminati can have all thing around the world, so Ice Spinner it is. Temper Flare is synergize well with Rapid Spin, primarily caught not only opposing Gholdengo but also Corviknight. Bob’s Consigliere and Jay shares some haram spread stolen from Sicillia. The alternative spread is defensive Adamant (yes Adamant) variant with 248 HP / 112 Def / 148 SpD to gives the team more option to take a hit, but it is not untested yet.

dragonite.png

Dragonite (F) @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake

Our primary Tera user. Act as revenge killer, finisher, late game cleaner and ELO stealer. Can also works as wall breaker early-mid game when the situation call it. Analytical report from Bob’s Consigliere and Jay tells that Dragonite in current meta has so many variant (Mamonite Dance, Fairy Tera Blast, Hong Kong Defense, Semi Hyper Balance, and many more). This trend is good for us since the opposing player cannot easily predict our Dragonite, unless they read this RMT of course. Can’t really say more about him, simple enough to utilize Dragonite, right? Outrage guarantee OHKO/2HKO anything that is not Steel or Fairy. Earthquake is mandatory coverage. Fire Punch over Ice Spinner or anything because we want our Dragonite capable to punish on predicted Corviknight or Air Balloon Gholdengo switch in. Jay absolutely nail it with his suggestion.

THE THREATS
  • dragapult.png

+1 Dragapult (easily 8-0 on us)
  • Any clutch Tera, especially defensive Tera Ghost to avoid Extreme Speed

CONCLUSIONS

My name is Bob. This team is fun and fast paced. Bob already lurking for 10 years in here! Prabowo and Gibran arguably the worst combo in Indonesia presidency history, please pray for us. You guys should try banana chocolate milkshake sometimes.

The two other guy just added randomly, they are happened to be there, perhaps they are not even Indonesian lmao)

Truly curious and great team Bob! I would consider using Bulk Up on Great Tusk to have a setup sweeper on the team, but if Bob thinks it's fine without BU, Bob is fine without BU
Heeey sorry for late reply

Bob open for suggestion, and yes he agree, Bulk Up Tusk gives this team decent setup sweeper option (not 50/50 like Iron Moth), Bob likes that.
What kind of set you suggest? Bulk Up + Rapid Spin + Headlong + CC/Spinner with Speed Boost? Bob and his Consigliere thinks it can work, but with some trade off, notably not being able to outright KO Balloon Gholdengo or greatly damage Corviknight IBHO (in Bob's humble opinion)

For me it sounds good! Maybe an option that Bob could try Is using Head Smash instead of Ice Spinner, since it hits harder to the birds and that can open a window for Dragonite to clean more easily in the late game. If the recoil damage sounds bad, Ice Spinner Is still good, it's more of a personal preference

Nay, sorry but Bob wont do that, Bob almost religiously only use 100% acc moves. Bob early days in Showdown teach him anything that is not 100% accurate wont do any good and potentially gives cancer.

He better use Smack Down (even with funny damage).

Speaking of Smack Down...

Perhaps Tusk with Smack Down is not bad. While its not top percentage and not the brightest Tusk, Bob has decent experience in previous gen with Lefties Landorus-T (252 Atk + 252 Speed) with Earthquake + Smack Down + Stealth Rocks + Taunt. Bob swear he win 2-3 times with alt on daily tour with that set.

Not sure if Tusk can replicate that with Headlong (or EQ) + Smack Down + Rapid Spin + Bulk Up, but its interesting thought!
