All cups are now finished or the resluts from them no longer matter so it is now time for UU Playoffs! The rest of this post will detail all those who qualified for the playoffs stage and the breakdown of their runs! As a precursor congratulations to the following users for winning the respective cups!

RBY Cup - NotVeryCake

ADV Cup - mipc
DPP Cup - Bouff
BW Cup - Accel

The seeding for playoffs is as follows, based on points with win rate determining any ties.

#1 - Micciu - 28 points
#2 - Bouff - 24 points
#3 - mipc - 23 points
#4 - seraphz - 19 points (76% WR)
#5 - BigFatMantis - 19 points (74% WR)
#6 - Hydronics - 16 points
#7 - NotVeryCake - 15 points (77% WR)
#8 - DD Joe - 15 points (69% WR)
#9 - Accel - 14 points (82% WR)
#10 - ASKOV - 14 points (68.8% WR)
#11 - Xiri - 13 points (69% WR)
#12 - sky - 13 points (SIX SEVEN% WR)
#13 - Peum - 12 points (75% WR)
#14 - DKM - 12 points (67% WR)
#15 - HydreigonTheChild - 11 points (64% WR)
#16 - Jojen - 11 points (64% WR)

As HydreigonTheChild had a deeper run in a cup, this was used to split the WR% tiebreak between him and Jojen.

Hello,

I think some of these points might be incorrect, mostly due to byes in R1. For example, myself I should not have a point in DPP since I had a bye in R1 and lost R2 (no points for the bye unless you win R2 I am pretty sure). It doesn’t technically affect my seed, but it does affect some other seeds potentially, so I think someone should take a look at that

I took a further look at this and it not only changes seeding and matchups, but actually even changes who qualifies potentially, so it’s a pretty big deal here. It’s hard to say how it was done last time because I couldn’t find the sheet anywhere, but it’s true that in 2024 people were in fact given points for byes in UU Classic 2024 since I did find that sheet. back when I did ADV Grand Slam, the sheet accounted for byes to not give points so that your and I believe most other classic and slam tours on the website properly follow the format of no points for a bye unless you win the subsequent round. It’s just the proper way to handle these types of tours and I don’t think UU Classic should be a weird exception
 
given this is something that breaks 4 (or more idk how long but defo that at least) years of tradition of how UU classic has been handled and is also being raised multiple weeks into the sheet existing only after playoffs would be decided and is something that would fundamentally change the playoffs in general (matchups and some qualifications maybe) and is only being raised after people have had a chance to look at this instead of in the last few weeks (or even years knowing we've been doing it like this with no1 objecting to it), this is something I don't want to make an instant decision on without consulting relevant parties.

I'll be locking this thread for the time being, please don't play any matchups in the mean time incase they do change.

To also clarify since DPP sleep vote result went up extremely early on Monday morning before anyone played or anything, Round 1 should be played without sleep in DPP.

Confirmed with a TD and since the tour has already progressed to playoffs we'll be continuing the current tour with the current point system, any changes to R1 byes will be in effect from next time instead. Thank you to BigFatMantis for raising this however so that we can look at this going forward! Feel free to schedule any games here etc as before
 
since yall are johns here's some quick predicts

#1 Micciu vs Jojen #16 - i remember jojen being solid in uu old gens, but micciu is more proven so far
#2 Bouff vs HydreigonTheChild #15 - haven't followed closely htc games in uu old gens so going with bouff who has played those tiers for like 15 years at this point
#3 mipc vs DKM #14 - prob one of the most close mus, dkm seems solid in general while mipc had deep runs in adv and dpp i think? going with the brazilian but should be like 51/49
#4 seraphz vs Peum #13 - esse é viciado então deve ganhar
#5 BigFatMantis vs sky #12 - depends on who brings more cracked cheeses but i think avarice is more solid overall
#6 Hydronics vs Xiri #11 - hydronics very likely has more knowledge in those tiers but i rate xiri a bit higher in-game, should be interesting
#8 DD Joe vs Accel #9 - don't know much about dd joe in old gens uu
