Iride vs Hoops - from what I've seen, Iride is a big threat in any natdex tier. Good playing backed by nasty teams & general pokemon knowledge, mons is mons etc. Deserved glazing for sure. I don't think I've ever seen hoops play this, but he does play regular RU; I'd wager he's definitely no regular customer. This is my HL for the week unless hoops catches the "this is not a real tier" syndrome and dgaf.
Marss Barss vs Don Bork: i sparred Bork a couple of times a year ago and he sometimes had that dog in him. Which is more that what I can say about the other guy, really
seed vs mrfraud: contrary to his namesake, fraud has put up a few respectable performances in a row; I do think he has a handful of teams he is more comfortable on, and is a bit more shaky when he has to step out of his comfort zone. I do not really think his opponent is really gonna bother making that happen, though.
Leni vs THE_CHUNGLER: having teamed with the chungler, I can say he has a fairly solid read on the meta and how to build to take advantage of it; his play however, is not quite there sometimes. Exact opposite for Leni: usually plays a good game, but has a tendency to wing it in the team department. I do think having good teams ready is a bigger advantage that playing good since this is a relatively unexplored meta
pannu vs LBN: i played this guy a milion times in untiers teamtours, and I have never won against him, so I couldn't bold against him in good faith against anyone. But this is really an hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby type of pairing.
db vs Medasus: I do not really know Medasus but db's playing reminds me of myself when I was done with mons
Roginald vs Danbear02: on account of not seeing danbear play ru for a while + his opponent seemingly enjoying the tier and building for himself, I am going to predict the upset here. I think danbear will have his work cut out for him in the builder.
Big Chungus irl vs seth: I am guessing seth will have better teams
sealoo vs Dead by Daylight: sealoo might not be quite as sharp in RU as he is in OU/UU but this is most likely a wash regardless
SapoDaG30 vs LB: basically a coinflip. I don't think either has been particularly impressive coming into this
about15gals vs jawabarat - about15gals is pretty good, but I think pretty good doesn't quite cut it here now that jawa is back into form. That said, there is also the possibility that jawa brings some completely dogshit, unviable mon like mega sceptile to balance it out. I wouldn't really count on it, however
ARTYMASION vs 3MoreMinutes: 3mm is an insane tryhard (relatively to the stakes at hand here), which is the #2 best quality to have in an unexplored meta, with the first being playing well (which he does).
Rafadude vs salmonelephant: salmon has slowed down a bit in the second half of CL, but I mean, he has the banner right under name, that has to mean something, right?
Interlinked vs kimer: I did not know who either of these guys was before a) realizing there was a name change and b) looking up FL. This is basically a coinflip
Velcroc vs spoo: spoo is a bit of an HO merchant in my eyes and he will have to adapt after the shark ban. That said he's had two good runs so far, and he supposedly built his own teams (together with his opponent, amusingly), gonna trust him here.
