Tenacious Technicians (1) vs (3) Solid Rock Wreckers
SV: Hacker vs
hjkhj > SV game of the week. hjkhj looked good and won using a well known team so aura points for that. Hacker used some interesting Gallade spike stack that took probably inspiration of some older spike stack type teams but added some new elements to it which felt like good ideas. They lost to Quinn after a tera gamble which wasn't I think the play but if that gamble worked they won so I get the idea. Still have to go hjkhj as he shown no reason to not be bolded.
SV: Ac1D vs
Txunt! > Both won last week. Ac1D used a solid bo that did the job last week with lycan on it which was a cool tech to prevent being too weak to stuff like arma. Play was pretty solid as expected from them. Txunt! had a good showing 6-0ing ming with a slightly diff Breloom set with drain and grass move and a in general solid balance. He didn't overcook which was one of the things I was worried with him so I think if he continues like that he's favoured against Ac1D but it's closer than what most people think.
SV: Heatranator vs
MachJacob > Two burros and the game where I'm the least sure on who'll win. Heatran got to face a terrible mu last week without too much hope. MJ won his game with the crazy tera fly salac Terrakion from vroom. I think this one is close to 50/50 but I think Mj is a tiny bit better in-game. Prep should be good for both sides with some very good support.
SV:
Lana vs Tsuki > This is an other close one. Both lost last week. I prefer the Tsuki build and I thought it was a cool team. I did like Lana's team except the fairy resist being gengar. Pawmot is a cool and underrated mon. Lana got stalled which is a rough one. I will say prep will prob be even but I think Lana could have more outplay potential in game. However, Tsuki is the type of person to have a cool idea and could cook.
Deranged Hustlers (2) vs (2) Pure Power Prizefighters
SV: Cielau vs
xcx > Cielau has a cool team week 1. Twave, psy noise gard is a very interesting tech in a good way and they figured out that pz + gard hwish is lowkey stupid. Solid plays all around. Gum basically reused his last years rupl semies team which seems to be his bread and butter; hazard stack with Regi, Noivern, Pz and Entei. I think Cielau may be able to abuse some of those patterns but not guaranteed and Gum could bring something way different and win due to that so giving him the advantage. However, French > French Canadian.
SV: seed vs
etern > 2nd most hype game of the week. etern brought a crazy team last week that was super creative. A vastly different build from what we typically see. see brought a solid stall and did the job. Seed is good builder and has a solid in-game. I think after this week tho it's hard to know what etern will bring so I think etern will win the in-game. A great SCL does inspire confidence. However seed like every burro I'm rooting for you!
SV:
Quinn vs Ampha > Quinn beat Hacker and did play quite well. They seemed to knew what they were doing. The triple water is a bit crazy as empo has to do some good lifting against double offensive special attackers. Ampha brought a team kinda similar to the lbn webs ho sample but without shitmon tox so improvement. He played quite well as well. I think is is quite 50/50 but I believe in a better building support for the hustlers so slight advantage.
SV:
DripLegend vs DKM > Drip got outplayed a bit in the early, came back only to miss Stone edge with Mienshao vs Talon and some other unfort stuff. They did get a bit of luck later but it was too late. DKM had a weird game last week. I saw some weird turns and DKM was basically behin the whole game. Will gave the advantage to Drip for the more familiarity and a better game last week.
Lead Guard Dancers (1) vs (3) Bibliotheca Blazes
SV: Sabella vs
Cow > I think the team Sab brought last week was a bit overcooked. Iron def regi from Gum put quite a lot of pressure as well as cm bro and it seemed that cm bro was also a problem. Cow won a hazard stack mirror and even if they showed some signs that they aren't 100% in line with what sets and abilities are used. Still a solid showing tho with a bit of luck. I will go with the momentum pick for this one.
SV: hi.naming is hard vs
Hoops > Both lost and brought teams that were weak to fire types espacially Entei (it destroys gewwge's team). I will say Hoops is a better player so I think he'll bounce back easier if he doesn't overcook.
SV: 8truc vs
eifo > 8truc brought a ming team I believe and defoged way too late vs webs and got beaten quite hard. Eifo faced a rough mu and didn't have much room tho he did play well. I will give it to eifo who's more proven and had a better showing week 1.
SV:
Soul King0 vs Kjay500% > Nature used sun as everybody expected tho they won despite a not easy mu. However Soul King0 has shown some great stuff in RUCL and a good week 1 showing. If they don't lose on prep it should go fine.
