The General Manager of a team is essentially the boss of a team. The GM is the final word in all decisions (barring the hosts) regarding their team. The GM decides which players play on the team, who plays in what position, and even handles the team finances. Managers also make sure that the team keeps running on a day to day basis. If a team fails to complete their matches by the end of the allotted time, the onus is on the manager to inform the hosts as to what happened in order to make sure that proper activity calls are made.

Because of these responsibilities, The General Manager is probably the most important part of the team. As such, the position of GM is not one to be taken lightly.

• General Managers are chosen largely on the subjective opinions SS Moderation Team with limited input from the hosts as to who they believe would be fit for the position. Being fit for the position includes the knowledge of excellent battlers in the community (for fielding a competent team), having above average activity on the forums, Pokémon Showdown and/or Discord (in order to ensure that you don’t abandon your team), as well as possessing a necessary amount of “gravitas” (If you can’t make a player do what you tell them to, such as play an undesirable metagame, you’re not going to make a good manager).

General Managers are required to acquire one or two Assistant Managers. The General Manager gets full sovereignty in choosing their assistant manager. The assistant manager is essentially the second in command for the team. They have all of the functions and roles as the General Manager does, the GM just trumps them in head-to-head decisions.

Lastly, the General Manager has the following duties:

• They shall choose one or two Assistant Managers.
• They shall make the hosts aware of any player retentions by the time player signups close.
• They shall be present at the live auction, or appoint someone (an Assistant Manager) to participate in the live auction in their stead.
• They shall send the hosts weekly rosters.
• They shall ensure to the best of their abilities that their battlers complete their matches on time.
• In the event that a match fails to be completed, they shall inform the hosts as to why the match failed to be completed, and what their battler did in orde r to finish the match.
• They shall communicate any grievances with the hosts.
Total money for teams is 150,000 credits.

In the weeks preceding the Live Auction, a time will be chosen where at least 1 Manager or Assistant Manager from each team can meet and perform a live auction in order to choose players. The Manager and/or Assistant Manager present will be expected to remain at the auction for the entire duration, which should take approximately 3 hours.

Once a time is set, all attending Managers + Hosts will enter the place where the auction will be held - most likely a group chat for the auction. Spectators are allowed to join in to watch the auction, but will not be able to speak. Discussion on the bidding should be relegated to the SS Discord.

The hosts will first ask a team to nominate a player. The order by which teams will nominate players will go in a randomized snaking pattern from the first chosen team to the last chosen team, then the last chosen team to the first chosen team. Details of said player will be displayed and bidding will commence, starting at 3000 credits, with the nominating team automatically placing the first bid. The auction will then be in real time. Managers will simply put in their bids in the chat, raising a minimum of 500 credits. If after 15 seconds there are no new bids, the player is sold to the highest bid in the channel. Updated credit totals will be displayed and then the next manager in the rotation will be prompted to nominate a player.

Managers: it is necessary for you to field a roster of 12 starters and a minimum of 2 substitutes. Playing Managers and retains are included in the roster number. Players will be locked into playing only the tiers they signed up for the entirety of the regular season AND playoffs (excluding tiebreakers). This still applies to players who go for 3k!
The league stages consist of a Round Robin tournament. Every team will face every other team once through 7 weeks of play. Each manager will submit to the hosts a roster no later than the deadline of the previous week. This roster will list the starting players and what metagames they will play.

When the week starts, teams' players will face off in their respective metagames / tiers. The SV OU 1 from Team A will face the SV OU 1 from team B, SV OU 2 will face SSV OU 2, and so on. Whichever team wins the most battles will be declared the victor for the week. Rather than score based on how many individual battles a team wins, the primary thing that matters is who beat the most teams. As such, points are awarded based only on wins and losses versus teams as a whole, not individual players. Beating a team in a week’s matchups is worth two points, tying with a team is worth one point, and losing is worth none, simple as that. At the end of the round robin, the top four teams in the points proceed to the playoffs. Semifinals will see #1 vs. #4 and #2 vs #3, Finals will be the winner from each of the semi-final rounds.

There are a few regulatory things during the league stages that need to be outlined.

1. Substitutes – At any point in time during the week, a team may make a substitution for a currently slotted player. In order to do this a manager must post in the thread, tagging the hosts, the opposing managers and the opposing player stating which player is substituting out, and which player is substituting in. A player that has substituted out for a week cannot be substituted back in.

2. Activity decisions – There are inevitably times where two players simply fail to complete a match; however, the nature of the tournament system sometimes makes it advantageous to purposely fail to play (such as when a team is up 5-4 in a week). Because of this, it is necessary to make activity decisions on matches. Hosts are required to make thorough investigations regarding each and every potential failed match during a week. If both parties are deemed to be equally apathetic or enthusiastic about getting the match done, but just have not had the opportunity to make it happen, the match will result in a no contest. However, if it is deemed that one party made significantly more effort than the other in attempting to get the match done, then a win will be awarded to that player. Things that will make it very likely that you will lose via activity include: failing to VM your opponent immediately upon the week’s start, scheduling a match and being documented as missing the match time, failing to provide any concrete times for which you can be reached, failing to respond to an opponent’s VM at all. Note that this is a tournament that requires a very high level of activity and diligence, if you don’t think you can get your matches done, quite simply don’t sign up.

3. Rule Breaking – There is no excuse for breaking any of the predetermined rules. If you are caught breaking a rule, you will lose your match. There is no lenience with regards to this. Break a rule, you lose. Period.

4. Reversing Rulings - No ruling will be retroactively overturned once the week following the week that the ruling has been made has ended. This includes: activity rulings / rulings based on rule breaking / anything else under the sun. I'm not going back in time to reevaluate every single decision I've made throughout the tournament on Week 9 because you think you were gypped 1-2 wins along the way and now they're the difference between you and a playoff spot. Any appeals to a ruling must be made during the week that the ruling is made; beyond that, all rulings are final once the week ends.

We shall start by selecting the team managers, which have important responsibilities such as drafting a team, submitting weekly lineups, and making sure their players are prepared and scheduling games. As mentioned above, managers are recommended to have a co-manager; you may decide on a co-manager after you have signed up, or if you cannot find a co-manager before the auction begins, you may select one from from the pool of players you draft. No joke signups or unrelated posts please—only post in this thread if you are serious about managing, and do so in the following format:

Managers: tahatahat + Bored Pikachu

Preferred Franchise: 1. Abyssal Tides 2. Stormbreak Collective 3. Crimson Dominion

Accomplishments: Bored Pikachu (Stardust) has made finals both times he managed the Delta League. He went 6-2 in Masters League and was invited to ORAS invitational playins last year. I have managed several Discord tours and am currently managing GSC UUPL on site, and I've recently gotten into SV OU with a peak of 1925 and can support/play that gen reasonably well.

Why would we be good managers?: Stardust is one of the most positive teamcord presences I've ever had the pleasure of working with and has a good level of expertise and connections in ORAS in particular but also across the masters gens as a whole. Between us, we cover a majority of featured tiers either in individual prep or in connections. I have a tremendous amount of managerial experience that will help to ensure the team has a complete and competent auction approach, and to respond promptly in sub situations and lineup submissions as I'm typically online.

Team manager and co-manager: Ithi stratdkt

Preferred Franchise: Apex Predators

Your accomplishments: Strat has made semi-finals in BKCPL multiple times as well as his round 10 oras ssnl performance, round 8 sm, round 7 ss and currently 4-2 in teamballo. Furthermore, he's made semis as a manager in NDFL, and was behind the draft for teamballo V. Meanwhile I've made finals and won in ORASPL, ADPL and have assisted many a player reach finals, including myself who have managed teams all the way up to finals.

Why would you make a good manager?: With my own experience of managing multiple tours(primarily ORAS such as underground, ORASPL) and even masters and masters farmers league, I've learned a fair bit of what makes and what doesn't make a good team click. We firmly believe in letting new players with high potential shine in tour games. Strat meanwhile has managed in NDFL, and has consistently proven time and time again he can build a killer draft when asked for advice. Strat has also made semis as a manager in BKCPL This deep rooted experience makes the both of us perfect candidates to serve as support/managers to players who need that extra little push to make it to the spotlight and hold a competitive edge.

Managers : Tenebricite and im_m0rtal.
Preferred Franchise : (1) Celestial Dragons :rayquaza_mega: (2) Obsidian Knights :kingambit: (3) Crimson Dominion :groudon-primal:
Tenebricite is an experienced player having lots of experience across all the gens with impressive results such as winning ORASPL with a record of 7-2 and 8-1 in NPL while playing SM. He has managed MWP and OUFL as well. He has a lot of team tournament experience, most notably playing SPL for the Tyrants. Some other tournaments he has played include OUPL, Teamballo, ORASCL, SMPL etc. He is an veteran in the tournament scene.

I am a newer face to the management scene. That said, I have also taken part in team tournaments such as OUPL, Teamballo, CNPL and many more. I have also supported various teams in other tournaments such as OUFL, ORASCL etc. I have reached the playoffs of many of these tours. My managing experience, however, has been kept to the discord PLs scene. I have done well in these OU tiers, such as reaching the finals of SV OU No Johns and top 32 of BW seasonal. I am in the top 16 of SS seasonals in the winners bracket as well. I am an enthusiastic manager, who is active in the team chat as well as the OU scene and also possesses some knowledge about lower tiers.

If we are picked, we will definitely try our hardest to win.

Your accomplishments: LB as a manager has a lot of experience in various tiers. He has managed ORASPL to finals, won ORAS underground and is managing currently ADPL, SSCL, BLT and ORASCL. LB is also an spl starter in SVOU which demonstrates his understanding and ability. LB also has playing experience in LC, he is currently 4-1 in teamballo playing LC and went 6-2 in LCWC.

Preferred Franchise:
1) Obsidian Knights :Kingambit:
2) Stormbreak Collective :Thundurus Therian:

Your accomplishments:
Jeoz has reached the PMPL semi-finals, is an NDCL Finalist, an NDFL Champion, and an EPL Champion. He has also managed several other major team tours, including 1v1WC, WCoR, and RCoP.

As for me, I’ve managed in numerous tournaments, including UUSD, UUPL, UUCL, RUPL, ZUPL, and UMPL, as well as UUWC and NUWC, among many others, earning multiple playoff qualifications over the seasons.
Throughout these experiences, my teams have consistently performed at the highest level. I’ve won UUFPL twice (2023 and 2025), NFE PL 2024, and PPL 2025. After reaching the EPL 2023 Final, I went on to win the title in 2024. Building on that momentum, I followed it up with three consecutive victories, winning the most recent editions of Teamballo, Chinese PL, and Bangladesh PL.

Why would you make a good manager?:
Between our experience managing numerous major tours and our history of strong results, we believe we can build a competitive roster, provide solid support, and put our team in the best position to succeed.

Team manager and co-manager (if applicable): Incognition + TBD
Preferred Franchise: Any
Your accomplishments:
  • LCSL Winner
  • LCWC Semifinal
  • BW WCOP Winner
  • NDCL + NDFL Semifinal
  • 2025 ORAS OU Summer Seasonal Last 16

  • 2026 BW Winter Seasonal Last 32 (one win from Last 16)
  • Other respectable results/tour runs in all formats included in this tournament
Why would you make a good manager?:
I am extremely active in the Smogon community, playing almost every single metagame there is available, to continue developing myself and getting to know new people. I have played every single format proposed in this tour, both, individually and in team tours. I feel I have improved massively from a year ago, finally getting the chance to feature in tournaments such as BWPL, ORASCL, OUFL, amongst many others.

I want to develop my recent managerial experience on Smogon. I first managed UK in DPPWC, where we narrowly missed the playoffs. I then helped create and manage UK in LCWC, where we finished top seed in the regular season and reached the semifinal.

I am currently managing in ZUCL, where we are very close to qualifying for the playoffs, and LCCL, where we hope to get momentum and have a shot at playoffs there.

I like to try and be a friendly and positive figure amongst everyone, and I will do my best to make sure that I create a team of developed and fresh talent to shine.

If you are active, and plan to be committed and help with prep/support, feel free to reach out as a co-manager.

Team manager and co-manager (if applicable): Abele Lsa
Preferred Franchise: Crimson Dominion
Your accomplishments:

As a player:
I'm Chile's SV OU starter for world cup, we reached semifinals in 2025 and quarters in 2024. I'm currently in round 2 of SSLT playoffs, R10 Winners of SmogCord Stour seasonal. I have reached good rounds in all the masters gens seasonals + winning SM Circuit playoffs. Have been part of every masters gen pl (smpl, oraspl, sspl) starting in most and going 5-2 in OUPL. Good results in other sidetours like Fcpl and ptpl (both 4-1 iirc)
As a manager:
I led my masters PL team to semifinals, won SS Farmers league with a perfect record of 7-0-0 as a team (also played it going x-1, forgot exact number), reached finals in spanish premier league and managed other tournaments like Puwc, oras mushi league, retro cup, cappl.

Lsa is Lsa.

Lsa is very hyped to manage this tournament, being his first time in smogon but having a wide experience in discord side tournaments, his strength is mainly in SM OU and current gen low tiers.

Why would you make a good manager?: we are both hyped to manage this tournament, Lsa will give his best so he gets picked in further occasions and i will do the same + helping in the draft plan since i know the pools better. We aren't managing any tournament at the moment and that's an extra so we can focus 100% in this tour. Also our knowledge among the tiers chosen might be one of the strongest here
