SLATE 1: THE SATELLITE FALLS AND THE MOVES SCATTER
"Today was the big day! I activated my satellite through the TM protocol, and taught every Pokémon on the planet the move "Remember". But...Not long after I fired the satellite, I recieved some grieving news. News stations across the planet have been reporting cases of Pokémon forgetting how to use ALL of their moves. That....that's not what the satellite's supposed to do. Did it overwrite EVERY move with "Remember?" I must have underestimated the amount of essence from Mewtwo that I used...somehow, it must have overloaded the Pokémon's minds. But at the very least, every Pokémon can finally be sentient once more, even though I've yet to see an intelligent Pokémon on the news broadcasts yet. After all...a Pokémon doesn't need moves to live, RIGHT?"
The research notes from Slate 0 carry on here on the next page. It appears that, at the time of the catastrophe's beginning, no-one knew it was this scientist who was responsible for this. But it would not last long...
Now that we know which 30 moves are in this metagame...it's finally time to start submitting your fakemon and letting your imagination go wild! You may submit up to three new Fakemon in your post using the following template...
Name: The Pokémon's name. (The words that make up the Pokémon's name)
Type: The Pokémon's type combination. The types are

.
Abilities: Choose up to three abilities to give to the Pokémon. Custom abilities are not allowed!
Stats: HP/Attack/Defence/Special Attack/Special Defence/Speed (Total)
Movepool: List out all of the moves that the Pokémon can learn here. How it learns them doesn't matter. You are only allowed to include any of the 30 moves that were in Slate 0's winning post in your movepool, which is in a separate spoiler below.
Appearance: This is optional: List out what your Pokémon looks like and what body parts it has.
Flavor: List out a description about what you think the Pokémon can do in the wild, or how it serves a purpose in the world.
Role: List out your Pokémon's role in this micrometa: Remember to take the previous winners into account. For example, you can assign it as a Setup Sweeper, or a Pivot.

The first slate will be focused on adding walls to the metagame in order to establish a defensive backbone of the Pet Mod. Your submission does not have to be a wall, but it would be recommended to ensure a healthy metagame.
Submissions will close next Saturday...GOOD LUCK!

metal egg.png

Iron Incubator
Type: Steel
Abilities: Quark Drive / Full Metal Body (H)
Stats: 254 / 82 / 136 / 74 / 6 / 18 (570)
Movepool: Scald, Discharge, Facade, Lunge, Glitzy Glow, Acrobatics, Gyro Ball, Recover, Heal Block, Defog, Mist, Baton Pass
Appearance: Mechanical Blissey - the pouch can cook up eggs ready to serve to people.
Flavor: this is like a post apocalypse deal right so we need something to man the pokemon centers, they made robot blisseys but they turned into real pokemon. It has like steam to heat up its egg so thats why it can scald and defog and mist.
Role: she's lowkey weak to 3 of the physical types while the special types will blow her up anyway, so despite the statline she prob won't be as meta defining as vanilla eggs are, that said glitzy glow, slow bpass, strong gyro ball and status fish tools give her a lot to do even in this movepool limited environment.

Name: Joltergeist
Type:
electric.gif
ghost.gif

Abilities: Static | HA: Cursed Body
Stats: 59 HP / 77 Attack / 123 Defence / 101 Special Attack / 96 Special Defence / 84 Speed (540 Total)
Movepool: Aqua Ring, Discharge, Hex, Sludge Bomb, Leech Seed, Glitzy Glow, Baton Pass, Yawn, Heal Bell, Mist
Appearance: It is a ethereal orb trapped in a glass like structure with electricity arching off it. It has a smiley face.
Flavor: It haunts abandoned power plants, drawing from the electric residue in the area. If it runs out, it starts leeching spiritual energy instead
Role: The defacto defensive pivot in the tier. Joltergeist switches around and can punish switching with a powerful Discharge + Hex combo. Sludge Bomb serves as decent coverage that also spreads Poison status, while Yawn puts targets to sleep. Baton Pass allows it to not only pivot, but pass along Aqua Ring to support teammates as well.

Name: Moleison (Mole + Poison + Cohesion)
Type:

Abilities: Poison Heal
Stats: 128 HP / 89 Attack / 58 Defence / 79 Special Attack / 78 Special Defence / 69 Speed (501 Total)
Movepool: Leech Seed, Facade, Thousand Waves, Brick Break, Heal Block, Lunge, Spirit Break, Baddy Bad, Aqua Ring, Sludge Bomb
Appearance: A brown Star-Nosed mole (it's nose it's bright purple) with pink polka-dots on its body.
Flavor: It digs around in the mud, but the land has become rather polluted. Due to this it has to develop a Poison resistance.
Role: The special wall to Joltergeist's physical. Moleison switches into a multitude of attacks and shrugs off hits with Poison Heal.

Name: Ramsay
Type:
fire.gif

Abilities: Contrary
Stats: 70/80/115/80/115/40 (500)
Movepool: Fire Lash, Scald, Sludge Bomb, Yawn, Baton Pass, Recover, Heal Bell, Heal Block
Appearance: Slightly redder Lickitung with a chef hat and the hair curl replaced with a Pombon-style fire wisp. The white patch on the chest is extended into an apron.
Flavor: Chef Pokemon. Seems to have a rather scathing attitude and foul mouth.
Role: A defensive Pokemon that utilizes Contrary to turn all of the stat-dropping moves in the meta on their head. Doesn't have any way to self-buff with it (the only option to do so here is Draco Meteor anyway), so its ability is less about amping and more about punishing the enemy's attacks. Mono Fire resists all four stat-dropping attacks (Fire, Grass, Bug, Fairy) while also countering two of them offensively. For the other two, it has Scald and Sludge Bomb to both cover for them and spread status.

Ramsay is set up as a mixed attacker. As a slow defensive mon, it already wants to invest EVs into its defenses and is willing to take a minus speed nature. This allows it to take advantage of its full movepool, both kinds of offensive boosts from Bug/Fairy, and get slower pivots to Baton Pass off those nicked boosts to its allies. Yawn is also a tool to help force free turns for it to use those pivots better.

:sv/wailord:
Name: Lead Zeppelin
Type:
steel.gif
flying.gif

Abilities: Drizzle
Stats: 170/95/50/95/100/60 (570)
Movepool: Gyro Ball, Acrobatics, Scald, Aqua Ring, Defog, Baton Pass, Recycle, Mist
Appearance: Large metal blimp whale. Paradox Wailord. Think Lead Balloons from hit classic Bloons Tower Defense.
Flavor: Future paradox Pokemon designed by someone with only slightly more creativity than all the other androids. They used a metal other than "Iron" in the name, and they gave it a different field effect than Electric Terrain! Truly innovative.
Role: Without common weather tools like Weather Ball, Thunder, Hurricane, etc. in the game, the only weather synergies are the effects inherent to the weathers and abilities that utilize them. But without weather-setting moves either, you can't make a mon with a weather-capitalizing ability until a weather-setting ability exists. Thus, I wanted to make a mon that can make use of Rain's inherent effects, so that we can open up future rain users but aren't forced to, as Lead Zeppelin already utilizes its Rain setting self-sufficiently.

Steel/Flying is a very good defensive typing, and is even better in the rain. It effectively nullifies its Fire weakness, leaving it only susceptible to Electric types. However, Electric types are all running Discharge, and a stray Paralysis could end up buffing its Gyro Ball. In addition, the presence of rain causes Scald to be a bit of a pseudo-STAB for Lead Zeppelin, and the burns it brings are very helpful for it. With its special defense skew, it has effectively equal bulk on both sides when the opponent is burned.

Wailord has a massive HP stat, and upgrading its stats to Paradox-level means it is incredibly bulky. To offset this, Lead Zeppelin does not have Recover. Any sustain it gets will have to come passively. Primarily, through Aqua Ring, which it can also Baton Pass to its allies. It can also take Leftovers, but taking either Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots locks it out of the Acrobatics boost. Thus, an alternative option that Lead Zeppelin might want to utilize are berries. Berries can provide it with either healing to help its sustain or stat boosts that it can either use or pass on. Recycle lets it receive these bonuses more often in exchange for less consistent Acrobatics uptime.

Moves: Acrobatics, Aqua Ring, Brick Break, Glitzy Glow, Heal Bell, Recycle, Spirit Break, Sludge Bomb

Psychic-Fighting is somehow an incredible defensive typing here. Spirit Break and Hex can hit super effectively, sure, but Spirit Break no longer gets its SpAtk drop and Hex can never be boosted since you’re immune to all forms of statusing (except Yawn), thanks to Shield Dust.

Name: Morterror (Mortar + Terror)
Type: Rock/Ghost
Abilities: Sand Stream // Magician
Stats: 97/100/90/95/126/37 (545)
Movepool: Rock Blast, Hex, Stealth Rock, Yawn, Recover, Gyro Ball, Spirit Break, Baton Pass, Brick Break
Flavor:
Pokedex A:
Morterror are often found lurking around recent demolition sites, especially those of popular or beloved buildings, using the rubble to build a hard shell that protects their soft bodies.
Pokedex B: Despite their menacing appearance, Morterror are calm, understanding creatures, and will only attack if continually provoked.
Extra: Morterror prefer to spend their time socializing with other ghost and rock types, building small structures from scraps of demolished infrastructure. They’re incredibly friendly, and getting a brick from a Morterror’s brick-built shell is a sign of great trust.
Role: Bulky Special Wall + Sand Setter / Niche anti-boots Magician / Hazards Setter
[Further Description Coming Soon]

Name: Plumid (Plume + Plume (Birds) + Humid)
Type: Fire/Water
Abilities: Regenerator / Levitate // Natural Cure
Stats: 130/70/90/70/90/70 (520)
Movepool: Fire Lash, Scald, Mist, Glitzy Glow, Aqua Ring, Recover, Defog, Acrobatics
Flavor:
Pokedex A:
Plumid catch water in their feathers, heating it in the gaps of their wings to create steam, keeping the air around them from getting too dry. While they are flightless, they have been known to glide short distances in instances of panic or emergency.
Pokedex B: Plumid, by virtue of creating their own local humidity, are incredibly adaptive to their environments. Despite this humidity, they seem to despise particularly arid regions, especially deserts.
Role: Blanket Regen Wall / Levitate Ground-immune / Status absorber
[Further Description Coming Soon]

Name: Pheond (Pheonix + Fiend (Pronunciation))
Type: Dark/Flying
Abilities: Intimidate // Contrary
Stats: 88/55/82/76/111/93 (495)
Movepool: Baddy Bad, Brick Break, Defog, Sludge Bomb, Baton Pass, Heal Block, Fire Lash, Recycle
Flavor:
Pokedex A:
Pheond are aggressive and territorial, often getting into fights with other pokemon. Fairy-type pokemon, despite the disadvantage, are often sought-out by young Pheond trying to prove their toughness to a larger group.
Pokedex B: Pheond will occasionally attack as a group, sneaking away after pretending to faint and letting another Pheond take over, acting as though they were the same Pokemon. This, over time, disorients and exhausts the target pokemon.
Role: Intimidate wall + hazard/screens control / Contrary Stat-drop switchin + Pass threat enabler
Phoend uses its solid bulk and good typing to sit on resists and pass out to another pokemon. With intimidate and Baddy Bad (reflect), it gains surprising physical bulk, as well as harming opposing baton passers. It also uses tools like defog, heal block, and recycle to stay on the field longer and help teammates stay on the field longer, to
Contrary will allow for more interesting offensive structures in the future, sacrificing some physical bulk in favor of better abusing baton pass, taking what would be a stat-lowering move and turning it against the opponent. Iron ball could be used to circumvent the webs immunity, but overall that's an incredibly fishy strategy and I'd honestly say it's not worth running anyways, especially since you become rocks-weak.

poison.gif

Abilities: Static/Poison Point/Toxic Debris (H)
Stats: 71/85/81/107/95/101 (540)
Movepool: Discharge, Sludge Bomb, Hex, Scald, Baddy Bad, Apple Acid, Aqua Ring, Heal Block, Leech Seed
Appearance: A Hydrapple convergent, so imagine an evil poison apple instead of a caramelized one and it swaps the snake heads for electric eels.
Flavor: This colony of pokemons act as one single creature where all heads collaborate, following the lead of the longest head of the group. It lures its prey by using its sweet aroma and paralysing them either with toxins or by releasing small electric discharges.
Role: N°1 fan of status conditions. Can either punish contact moves by paralysing/poisoning the foe or setting up layers of Toxic Spikes. On the offensive side it can also try to get some status by using Discharge, Sludge Bomb or Scald, with Hex as a way of dealing massive damage. Moves like Apple Acid and Baddy Bad act as some good coverage, and Heal Block can stop the opponent from restoring HP.

Name: Flambéed Whip
Type:

|
fire.gif

Abilities: Protosynthesis
Stats: 55/123/99/87/87/119 (570)
Movepool: Fire Lash, Spirit Break, Lunge, Brick Break, Baton Pass, Rock Blast, Acrobatics
Appearance: Past Paradox of Clawitzer. The claw is the main body while the "shrimp" is a long whip-like appendix.
Flavor: There are some rumors that this creature is the same one listed as Flambéed Whip in a certain book. It has a slightly resemblance to a sweet smelling fish described in a dubious magazine.
Role: Physical Breaker that really enjoys reducing the stats of the opponent. Fire Lash and Spirit Break act as good STAB options while also reducing Defense and SpA. Coverage options can be found in Brick Break, Acrobatics, Rock Blast and Lunge (with the last one also reducing Atk). Baton Pass can also be used as a nice pivotting option, allowing for some fun techs with Stat Berries (which can also fuel up Acrobatics, but that might be too gimmicky).

Name: Slunkey (apparently there's a thing called a monkey slug)
Type: Bug
Abilities: Run Away / --- | Cheek Pouch
Stats: 110/90/120/80/80/40 (520)
Movepool: Lunge, Sludge Bomb, Recycle, Stealth Rock, Aqua Ring, Facade, Brick Break
Role: Physical wall meant to use Recycle + Cheek Pouch as its main form of healing. You heal 7/12 of your max HP per Sitrus Berry or 2/3 if you really want to try running a pinch berry. The fact that the healing itself is activated by your opponent and delayed from when you use your "healing move" has a handful of pretty cool applications. I won't list them all, but for example, you can use it to immediately heal in between Rock Blast multihits or to heal Stealth Rock damage while switching in. You are still weak to Stealth Rock though. This strategy is very inconsistent in standard thanks to Knock Off's prominence and while that's not here, it's entirely possible for someone to give Magician or Pickpocket to a Pokemon if they really want to tech a way of beating this or don't care about their ability or item all too much.

Untitled design.png

Name: Fluorospor (Comes from 'lactifluorum' - the species name of lobster mushroom, fluorine and spore)

Type:
poison.gif
bug.gif

Ability: Toxic Debris

Stats: 140/49/130/97/67/45 (528)

Movepool: Scald, Sludge Bomb, Leech Seed, Aqua Ring, Lunge, Sticky Web, Recycle, Recover

Appearance: It looks like a lobster, but it has a large mushroom cap covering its head. I imagine it's very similar to Lurantis in vibes.

Flavor: Flurospor, despite resembling a lobster, is actually much more related to Pokemon like Shiinotic and Breloom. It pretends to be a lobster, then sneaks up on things and drains them of their nutrients. It can shed its spores to become sharp projectiles, which it shoots at enemies.

Role: A physical wall, which heals with leech seed, aqua ring and recover, while chipping at the target with scald and sludge bomb. Scald also helps with longevity, as burn can really hurt opposing physical attackers - plus the chip damage from burn also adds up. It can get chip damage with the poison from toxic debris as well as poison from sludge bomb too, plus it can set up sticky web too in order to help the rest of its team. It could end up very easily being very easily exploited though, as moves like defog and heal block can shut it down very well. It would also be difficult for it to fight against pokemon with set-up moves. I could see it running an item like leftovers, or maybe rocky helmet.
