Hello everyone and happy World Cup season! The first administrative decision being made is Teams and Captains, as previewed in this post in the eligibility thread.
Teams and Captains:
Asia - July and Yash Vortex
Canada - Genesis7 and King Billu
China - Kafkafka and Unowndragon
Europe + Africa - Ea-Nasir, Msousa, and Ulti Bastion
France - oakdeon and Rubyblood
Germany - Serpi
Italy - Amaranth
Latin America - bern, Maris Bonibell, and spies
Netherlands - blaab and Wesleyy
Oceania - violet river
United Kingdom - NotVeryCake and Zpice
United States Midwest - Deezcastforms and Tree69420
United States Northeast - Acetylaldehyde, emma, and phoopes
United States South + West - Ctown6 and jam
If any captains do not wish to captain the region they have been assigned to, please DM me IMMEDIATELY.
If any captains wish to add an assistant that is not yet listed here, or make any other changes to the captain list as provided, please DM me by Sunday, March 22nd at the latest. Based off prior experience, I strongly recommend teams with one captain to add at least one more. As a reminder, you may have up to three captains.
Other information so it's all neatly in one place:
On Mexico and Argentina:
These teams will not be returning this year due to lack of signups. Mexican and Argentinian players will be eligible to play for Latin America.
On Iberia (Portugal + Spain) and USSR:
These teams will not be returning this year due to lack of signups. Spanish and Portuguese players will be eligible to play for Europe + Africa.
On United States teams:
This year, both United States Northeast and United States Midwest have received enough signups and captain interest to field standalone teams. United States South and United States West were unable to generate sufficient captain interest and signups individually, so they will be merged into United States South + West (if you want to be called ROUS and bring back that logo/branding I won't mind, or you can stick with the current name, or come up with a new name. Doesn't matter to me).
On Team Rest of World:
This team will not be returning this year due to how the geographical splits worked out and were done this year.
