I was playing around with Necrozma Dawn-Wings, as Lunala is a top threat in the metagame and I wondered how I could make the more offensive version work. Haven't played that many games yet, but it's worked pretty well (with some major counters at times) and I think the major structure of the team works.
Necrozma-Dawn-Wings @ Choice Specs
Ability: Prism Armor
Level: 50
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 HP / 212 SpA / 44 SpD
Modest Nature
- Heat Wave
- Hyper Voice
- Moongeist Beam
- Photon Geyser
Special sweeper that prefers Trick Room mode, but can work in Tailwind mode. Normal tera type to avoid Astral Barrages from Calyrex-Shadow and Knock Offs from Incineroar. Did try Earth Power before Heat Wave, might change that back. Photon Geyser and Moongeist Beam for STAB, HyperV. Originally was supposed to be a Trick Room PsySpammer, but having to get both up just for one pokemon felt pointless. Basically here to blow stuff up, but I feel like the moveset doesn't have a consistent option w/ the Choice Specs due to Dark/Ghost immunities and resistances. I guess the main question is how bulky I want this thing to be because it feels like it's trying to do offense and defense, but I can't decide which lol.
Zamazenta-Crowned @ Rusted Shield
Ability: Dauntless Shield
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Def / 84 SpD
Impish Nature
- Wide Guard
- Heavy Slam
- Helping Hand
- Body Press
Zamazenta is a bulky support w/ consistent damage output. Wide Guard to protect from spread mnoves like Glacier Lance, Tera Starstorm and Astral Barrage, Heavy Slam and Body Press for consistent and unchanging damage, and Helping Hand to boost Chi-Yu's or Dawn-Wing's damage output. Overall a pretty standard set, but feels flimsy at times and Fighting and Steel coverage isn't super optimal all the time.
Tornadus (M) @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Protect
- Tailwind
- Taunt
- U-turn
TailWind Setter w/ the team's only pivot and Taunt to shut down Calm Mind Terapagos or Whimsicott. Safety Goggles for Rage Powder/Spore immunity. Again a pretty standard set for the meta w/ EVs I just auto'd bc I didn't know what else to do lol
Farigiraf @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Armor Tail
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Def / 188 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Helping Hand
- Trick Room
- Protect
- Psyshock
Trick Room Setter. Covert Cloak to avoid Flinches. Helping Hand for extra support after setting up Trick Room, Protect to stall, and Psyshock so that I'm not copmpletely helpless if Taunted or everyone else is dead/sleeping.
Amoonguss @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Pollen Puff
- Protect
- Rage Powder
- Foul Play
Bulky support for in Trick Room. Pollen Puff for healing + damage, Rage Powder for redirection, and Foul Play bc there's too many Miraidon to run Spore. Can live like two or three massive hits, but still feels weak at times.
Chi-Yu @ Life Orb
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Def / 68 SpA / 144 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Overheat
- Snarl
- Will-O-Wisp
Another Special Sweeper, but pretty bulky ngl. Moveset's a mix of offense and support, but I think I should lean more into one side bc the moveset kinda feels limiting ngl. Life Orb for extra damage, Overheat for burst damage, Snarl and Will-O-Wisp for disruption.
ig overall I need some help with EV distributions and some moveset alterations here and there.
