Voting will officially close when RetroSquad has updated their post and AthenaStrive9 has submitted their votes (they said they would but something has come up delaying them from voting in the time window.) The moment Athena's votes are in, voting will officially close.

And with that the results are in. Dragonite was a tie, so I had to break it.

Dragonite goes to Cyaneedle, tying with G-Luke with 7 votes each.

Garganacl goes to Crep50 with 6 votes. He also wins Great Tusk with 9 votes.

Heatran goes to AthenaStrive9 with 12 votes, and also Raging Bolt with 10 votes.
Both of those beat me by only one vote.

Finally, anaconja gets Pecharunt with 12 votes.

Vote tallies will be copied into this post later. Winners post below. Tune in tomorrow for the next slate!

Thoughts on the winners
:dragonite::scizor-mega:
Tech Wing Attack is a crazy pull, love it when creative sets win. uses dnites tools very well in general

:garganacl::staraptor-mega:
LETS GOOO

:great-tusk::lopunny-mega:
Honestly kinda sad crabominite didnt make it, as it was a cool use of an otherwise niche stone, but hey we take those i guess

:heatran::garchomp-mega-z:
I actually dont know how to feel about Fire/Dragon heatran. Its pretty cool but sand force is just not great at the moment. Time will tell i guess

:raging-bolt::manectric-mega:
Intimidate + Pivoting + WHAT is that SpAtk?? I commend you for not giving rbolt an offensive stone, which could help keep it from completely terrorizing the meta. Good sub, i like this.

:pecharunt::gyarados-mega:
Poison/Dark is awesome and i love what gyaradosite does in general, this ones cool. Wish toxic was there to make use of mold breaker on mbounce personally, but atp you start to run out of move slots so i see what you didnt.

Overall really cool subs guys, looking forward to slate 2!

All right. It's time.

Slate 2: Myths and Magic

:sv/Ceruledge: :sv/Gholdengo: :sv/walking wake: :sv/gouging fire: :sv/roaring moon: :sv/archaludon::sv/annihilape: :sv/magearna:

These Dragons, Ghosts, and one Fairy, are all Powerful Pokemon. All of them have either been Restricted from Mega Evolving in MnM, or are Pokemon that were banned from OU. We will be making sets for them. There are a couple sets that have restrictions, and one surprise rule added.

:ceruledge: This Pokemon may not hold a Lucarionite, Diancite, or Absolite-Z
:walking wake: This Pokemon may not hold a Lucarionite, Diancite, or Zygardite
:gholdengo: This Pokemon may not hold a Lucarionite, Diancite, or Zygardite. This Pokemon is allowed to hold a Malamarite.

That's it for the restrictions. Now for an extra bonus detail. All of these Pokemon have an excellent offensive or defensive typing. As a bonus to make things interesting, any set that has a unique typing will get a free +1 vote.

Final point of order, I would like to thank iforgetwhyimhere :D for volunteering to assist me by joining my council. Their support will help this move forward.

This is a big slate, with eight Pokemon available to make sets for. This will go on for 9 days, with submissions likely closing either the 29th or the 30th.

Edit: one more rule change that, if I was smarter, I should have implemented last slate as well. You are ALLOWED to use Pidgeotite with your submissions. Just be reasonable; no using Zap Cannon or Inferno in those sets.

Reasoning: Nevermind i found something funnier. Jumpscare opponents with 180 Special Attack Roaring Moon, and you even have pivoting!

Gholdengo @ Delphoxite
Ability: Good as Gold --> Levitate
87/60/95/133/91/84 -> 87/60/95/178/116/114

- Thunder Wave

Reasoning: ALMOST ANY ABILITY. set has been somewhat gimped because this might be an annoying mon to fight :shrug:

Magearna @ Pinsirite
Typing: Steel/Fairy --> Steel/Flying
Ability: Soul-Heart --> Aerilate

- Shift Gear
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Ice Beam

Reasoning: ok, so this is a weird choice, but stick with me here: ground immunity very awesome. Ice Beam also lets you hit on special so that isn't as big of a problem now ^u^

note: Does 'This pokemon may not hold a lucarionite' include lucarionite z? if so then sorry I will remove that submission

:gholdengo: :lucario-mega-z:
Gholdengo @ Lucarionite z
87/60/95/133/91/84 -> 87/50/95/182/91/145
Good As Gold -> Adaptability
Ghost/Steel
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Nasty Plot
- Dazzling Gleam

Allows gholdengo to become extremely fast and powerful, outspeeding and probably fainting whatever it hits. Plus, with adaptability, make it rain hits like an absolute truck. Shadow Ball and Make It Rain allow for dual STAB, nasty plot lets it raise its special attack - allowing it to easily sweep opponents and dazzling gleam lets it deal with walking wake, gouging fire, and roaring moon
Hello and welcome to the mod. Unfortunately there are a couple points I need to clarify, though it may perhaps have not been clear.

First of all, unless otherwise stated, assume that a Mega Stone that is illegal in Mix and Mega remains banned. As such the Lucarionite-Z is very much not allowed for these submissions.

Secondly, please limit yourself to only one submission per Pokemon in this slate. Hopefully this will give you the information you need to go from here!

Alright thank you for clarifying

:gholdengo::malamar-mega:
Gholdengo @ Malamarite
87/60/95/133/91/84 -> 87/70/95/163/136/99
Good As Gold -> Contrary
Ghost/Steel
- Hex
- Make It Rain
- Recover
-Thunder Wave

Gholdengo now has much better speed (still barely doesn't break 100 but it's better), a higher special attack and higher special defense. And of course, contrary + make it rain can easily snowball, letting it sweep teams if left unchecked

110/115/80/50/90/90 -> 110/165/90/60/110/100
Fighting/Ghost
Defiant -> Prankster
-Bulk Up
-Drain Punch
-Rage Fist
-Taunt

100 Speed is a good threshold to work with. Prankster Taunt to stop set-up sweepers, and its two hard-hitting STABs.

:archaludon: :blastoise-mega:
Archaludon @ Blastoisinite
90/105/130/125/65/85 -> 90/125/150/175/75/85
Steel/Dragon
Stamina -> Mega Launcher
-Aura Sphere
-Dragon Pulse
-Dark Pulse
-Flash Cannon

STAB Dragon Pulse with these stats and ability will hit like a truck. Kept in check by its relatively low Speed compared to a lot of these other Megas.

:ceruledge: :staraptor-mega:
Ceruledge @ Staraptite
75/125/80/60/100/85 -> 75/145/110/70/130/95
Fire/Ghost -> Fighting/Ghost
Weak Armor -> Intimidate
-Bulk Up
-Close Combat
-Bitter Blade
-Poltergeist

Bulk Up + Weak Armor already gives you a fun synergy that, if Mega Evolution is delayed, allows you to get the boost to your Speed without a lowered defense. Going from Fire to Fighting gives you excellent STABs in Close Combat and Poltergeist, while also allowing you to have Bitter Blade for recovery and coverage.

:gholdengo: :drampa-mega:
Gholdengo @ Drampanite
87/60/95/133/91/84 -> 87/85/120/158/116/84
Steel/Ghost
Good as Gold -> Berserk
-Nasty Plot
-Make it Rain
-Shadow Ball
-Recover

Berserk on a Special Attacker. While Gholdengo does not get any faster, it has the potential to snowball thanks to Nasty Plot and Berserk + Recover. With a bit of luck this could be a solid late-game sweeper.

:gouging fire: :heracross-mega:
Gouging Fire @ Heracronite
105/115/121/65/93/91 -> 105/175/161/65/103/81
Fire/Dragon
Protosynthesis -> Skill Link
-Scale Shot
-Heat Crash
-Earthquake
-Morning Sun

Much like G-Luke's Skill Link Dragonite last slate, there are many useful dragons that can benefit from Scale Shot. Thanks to its high Attack and Defense, this Gouging Fire does not even need to run Dragon Dance in this set. Should hit hard, and gets to a decent Speed after one Scale Shot.

:magearna: :camerupt-mega:
Magearna @ Cameruptite
80/95/115/130/115/65 -> 80/115/145/170/145/45
Steel/Fairy
Soul-Heart -> Sheer Force
-Calm Mind
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Draining Kiss

Bulky Special Attacker with BoltBeam coverage and DKiss for longevity.

:roaring moon: :aggron-mega:
Roaring Moon @ Aggronite
105/139/71/55/101/119 -> 105/169/121/55/121/119
Drago/Dark -> Dragon/Steel
Protosynthesis -> Filter
-Dragon Claw
-Iron Head
-Roost
-U-Turn

Roaring Moon is an excellent Pokemon that suffers from a low defense and a 4x weakness to Fairy. With Aggronite it loses both of those flaws and becomes a solid bulky Pokemon. Thanks to a solid speed and solid bulk, plus Filter, this set does not need to run Dragon Dance to be solid.

:walking wake: :magearna-mega:
Walking Wake @ Magearnite
99/83/91/125/83/109 -> 99/113/91/165/83/139
Water/Dragon
Protosynthesis -> Soul Heart
-Hydro Pump
-Draco Meteor
-Flamethrower
-Flip Turn

Walking Wake staying as a glass cannon while not being as insane as Adaptability Lucarionite would allow it to be. Soul Heart does allow it to potentially snowball, but the Attack boost from Magearnite means its Flip Turns do a nice bit of extra chip as well.

Edited to now be alphabetized.

Ceruledge @ Metagrossite
75 HP / 125 Atk / 80 Def / 60 SpA / 100 SpD / 85 Spe -> 75 HP / 135 Atk / 100 Def / 70 SpA / 120 SpD / 115 Spe
Flash Fire -> Tough Claws
- Swords Dance
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat

Dangerous SD Wallbreaker. Tough Claws Close Combat is as strong as STAB Earthquake, so it functions nicely as Ceruledge's "second" STAB. Bitter Blade smacks a round things HARD and heals you for doing damage. Sneak picks off frail foes. I decided that Flash Fire will be the ability of choice as I don't want this guy snowballing, and I value the utility pre mega Flash Fire brings.

:ss/magearna::sableye-mega:
Magearna @ Sablenite
80 HP / 95 Atk / 115 Def / 130 SpA / 115 SpD / 65 Spe -> 80 HP / 105 Atk / 165 Def / 150 SpA / 165 SpD / 35 Spe
Soul-Heart -> Magic Bounce
- Calm Mind
- Fluer Cannon
- Pain Split
- Thunderbolt

Magearna is a strong Calm Mind sweeper and also blocks Spikes and Stealth Rock, among other status moves. Pain Split heals chip done to it while knocking down opponents.

:ss/Gholdengo::magearna-mega:
Gholdengo @ Magearnite
87 HP / 60 Atk / 95 Def / 133 SpA / 91 SpD / 84 Spe -> 87 HP / 90 Atk / 95 Def / 173 SpA / 91 SpD / 114 Spe
Good As Gold -> Soul-Heart
- Nasty Plot
- Recover
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball

Powerful snowballing wallbreaker in Gholdengo with Magearnite, which allows it to constantly rack up boosts Everytime it gets a kill, which isn't hard with a Nasty Plot boosted Make It Rain off 173 SpA. 114 Speed is also pretty clutch, allowing it to creep alot more than it can in standard.

:ss/gouging-fire::rusted-sword::zacian-crowned:
Gouging Fire @ Rusted Sword
105 HP / 115 Atk / 121 Def / 65 SpA / 93 SpD / 91 Spe -> 105 HP / 145 Atk / 121 Def / 65 SpA / 93 SpD / 101 Spe
Protosynthesis -> Intrepid Sword
- Heat Crash
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Iron Head

Intrepid Sword is a game ender, whether or not it can only trigger once. Even so, Gouging Fire has the bulk and Defensive typing needed to rack up multiple boosts to ensure it is as effective of a late game cleaner as possible.

:ss/annihilape::golurk-mega:
Annihilape @ Golurkite
110 HP / 115 Atk / 80 Def / 50 SpA / 90 SpD / 90 Spe -> 110 HP / 150 Atk / 105 Def / 65 SpA / 115 SpD / 90 Spe
Defiant -> Iron Fist
- Rage Fist
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch

Bulk Up Annihilape sounded egregious here, but shit is going up against extremely powerful forces so we are packing the heat with Iron Fist Golurkite Annihilape. Hit them with multiple boosted Drain Punches and Rage Fists, hope the opponent lacks Toxic and honestly go to town.

Drought gives a huge boost to bitter blade and gives Ceruledge a 125 BP physical grass coverage. Still pretty slow and i didnt give it priority, but i wanted to see this thing punching holes.

Zero offensive buffs outside of that INSANE speed stat, blitzing past anything else here so far. Makes use of this speed to pester foes with twave and threaten KOs on weakened pokemon.

- Body Press
- Iron Defense
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock

Bulkmon. Comes in on many fblast users and generally is just a massive pain in the butt. Stamina before mega also allows for +3 Body Press instead of +2, if you manage to pull it off.

- Drain Punch
- Bulk Up
- Gunk Shot

I was looking through stones and once again crabominite grabbed my attention. Hyper Cutter is honestly pretty solid, especially right now with two intimidate mons, and a standard bulk up drain punch set plays into that quite well. Gunk shot is to hit bulky fairies that might show up in the future.

Calm Mind fairy/steel thats only weak to ground. Stored power because its magearna, thats kind of its thing

Ceruledge @ Barbaracite
75/125/80/60/100/85 -> 75/160/95/70/120/105
Ability: Weak Armor -> Tough Claws
Fire/Ghost -> Fire/Fighting
- Bitter Blade
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Bulk Up

Barbaracite provides Ceruledge with the fighting type, boosting the power of their Close Combats. Tough Claws provides a further boost to Close Combat while also boosting the power of Bitter Blade and Shadow Sneak. Attack, speed, and defenses are boosted, all of which Ceruledge appreciates. You can delay the mega evolution to gain speed with Weak Armor, and then rip through the opponent's team with boosted attacks.
1774372475884.png
1774372550403.png
1774372566960.png

Gholdengo @ Meganiumite
87/60/95/133/91/84 -> 87/70/110/193/106/84
Ability: Good as Gold -> Overgrow
Steel/Ghost -> Steel/Fairy
- Make It Rain
- Dazzling Gleam
- Recover
- Nasty Plot

Meganiumite synergizes incredibly well with Gholdeno's typing pre-mega evolving. Fairy resists dark and is neutral to ghost, allowing for Gholdengo to sit in front of attackers that might otherwise counter them. Of the three stones that provide the fairy typing, Meganiumite provides the highest special attack. This is balanced by a useless ability and no speed increase, making Nasty Plot a fine move for this set (even PQRDG said so). Added bulk from the stone makes Recover an even more appealing choice. Make It Rain and Dazzling Gleam are the best attacks to run for this set.

1774372639260.png
1774372653602.png

Walking Wake @ Altarianite
99/83/91/125/83/109 -> 99/123/111/165/83/109
Ability: Protosynthesis -> Pixilate
Water/Dragon -> Water/Fairy
- Scald
- Tera Blast
- Flamethrower
- Flip Turn

Water and fairy is one of the strongest offensive and defensive type combinations in the game. Water, fairy, and fire type attacks hit half of the types in the game for super effective damage, which gives this Walking Wake tremendous breaking power. This set is fairly straight forward, but is effective at what it does—dealing big damage.

Gouging Fire @ Latiosite
105/115/121/65/93/91 -> 105/155/141/95/103/91
Ability: Protosynthesis -> Levitate
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
- Morning Sun
- Dragon Dance

Levitate removes one of Gouging Fire's three weaknesses, which combined with the added defense from Latiosite turns Gouging Fire into a defensive behemoth. Morning Sun provides recovery, further improving their longevity, while Flare Blitz, Earthquake, and Dragon Dance makes Gouging Fire a devastating sweeper. Latiosite also boosts attack substationally, meaning that Gouging Fire hits even harder.

- Thunder Fang
- U-turn

Sharpedonite grants Roaring Moon the amazing ability Strong Jaw, boosting the power of their already strong move Jaw Lock. Jaw Lock allows Roaring Moon to trap opponents, securing KOs or allowing for easy re-positioning thanks to additionally having U-turn. Fire Fang and Thunder Fang also receive damage boosts from Strong Jaw, providing great coverage.

Archaludon @ Blue Orb
90/105/130/125/65/85 -> 90/155/130/155/85/85
Ability: Stamina -> Primordial Sea
- Electro Shot
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Aura Sphere

The Blue Orb provides Archaludon with permanent rain that cannot be shut down by any other weather available. This allows them to rip off Electro Shots as they please, racking up special attack boosts. Though a lot of stat points are used on physical attack, the boosts to special attack and special defense combined with the amazing value of Primordial Sea makes this Archaludon a threat to be reckoned with.

Annihilape @ Staraptite
110/115/80/50/90/90 -> 110/135/110/60/120/100
Ability: Defiant -> Intimidate
- Rage Fist
- Drain Punch
- U-turn
- Bulk Up

The added bulk from Staraptite and the new ability in intimidate allows Annihilape to switch in and sponge physical hits, which throughout the battle will boost the damage of Rage Fist. U-turn allows for Annihilape to switch out and perform this act again and again, while the combination Bulk Up and Drain Punch allows for Annihilape to function as a late game cleaner after having boosted Rage Fist enough times.

Magearna @ Metagrossite
80/95/115/130/115/65 -> 80/105/135/140/135/105
Ability: Soul Heart -> Tough Claws
- Draining Kiss
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind
- Shift Gear

Tough Claws is almost always reserved for physical attackers as very few special moves make contact. However, Draining Kiss is one of the few moves that makes contact, meaning it is boosted by Tough Claws. Metagrossite additionally boosts Magearna's defenses and speed, making this demon setup set even more potent.

Many people forget that Arch actually has a useable ATK stat, in this set, its further boosted with Metagrossite giving it Tough Claws and a decent speedtier.

Gouging Fire @ Pinsirite
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fire
Serious Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Double-Edge
- Burning Bulwark
- Dragon Dance
One of the main stones that led to Gouging's ban in base MnM. Gives it a good defensive typing and ground immunity and lets it spam 144BP flying STAB. In this set, I implemented an artifical "restriction" by not giving it EQ, thereby letting it get checked by pre-mega Heatran and Garganacl. :totodiLUL:

Drampanite is such an underrated stone, allows Magearna to punish opponents failing to OHKO it by constantly cycling berserk boosts with DKiss healing.

Walking Wake @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Hurricane
- Flip Turn
This was the only semi-interesting set I could come up with after seeing Pidgeotite was freed, gets some inaccurate moves and Pidge gives it a nice SpA boost.

Greninjite is another cool stone, lets RMoon get STAB on its coverage moves and get rid of its mid typing.

Annihilape @ Absolite Z
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Fighting

Didn't want to submit a bulky Rage Fist guy so went with the other annoying set, fast BOOM guy. Abs Z gives it a decent attack boost and a great speedtier.

Gholdengo @ Scolipite

Tera Type: Steel
Serious Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hex
- Dazzling Gleam
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
One of the only times you'll see Poison Point as a main feature of the set. Gives Dengo a way to bypass MBounce and TWave immunities to inflict status and boost Hex. Scolipite also gives huge defense buffs at the cost of 50 speed which is unimportant on this set.

- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
Ever since ZA Stones were revealed, I've been thinking about how well Ceru could run Eelektrossite. Latiosite was already a good stone on it, despite not giving any speed boost, Eelektrossite is pretty much just fast Latiosite.

A couple of my favorite video game OSTs
BIG SHOT - Deltarune Chapter 2, haven't actually played the game but it and Undertale's OSTs are iconic
Timber Hearth - Outer Wilds, No words, just an amazing game that YOU should play
A God's Machine - OneShot, I PROMISE I will get to finishing this game eventually :<
Downpour - Rainworld (specifically Downpour OST), another great game we love scug
Into the Wilds - Outer Wilds, probably my favorite track from the OST
Resurrections - Celeste, another iconic OST, just started my Celeste re-playthrough today as well
Cogwork Core - Hollow Knight: Silksong, would've named it Cogwork Dancers since I like that track better but Core fits better
Nightmare King - Hollow Knight (specifically Gods & Nightmares), one of my only 10/10 games + OSTs simply absolute peak

A basic Gholdengo set, but with Focus Blast to hit Dark-types.

Walking Wake @ Blastoisinite

Gouging Fire @ Raichunite Y
105/115/121/65/93/91 (old) -> 105/125/121/135/93/111 (new)
Protosynthesis-> Surge Surfer
Fire/Dragon
- Burning Bulwark
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Earthquake

Raichunite Y gives it just enough Special Attack to be a decent mixed attacker.

Roaring Moon @ Venusaurite
105/139/71/55/101/119 (old) -> 105/157/111/77/121/119(new)

Archaludon @ Pinsirite
90/105/130/125/65/85 (old) -> 90/135/150/135/85/105 (new)
Stamina -> Aerilate
Steel/Dragon (old) -> Steel/Flying (new)
-Draco Meteor
-Body Slam

Good Defensive typing, and stats make it possible for a mixed set.

Annihilape @ Glalitite
110/115/80/50/90/90 (old) -> 110/155/80/90/90/110 (new)
Defiant -> Refrigerate
Fighting/Ghost
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Rage Fist
- Body Slam

A weird -ate set which can lure Flying types and is also good because of all the Ice-weaks in the Meta.

:sv/magearna::sv/banette-mega:
Magearna @ Banettite
80/95/115/130/115/65 (old) -> 80/145/125/140/135/75 (new)
Soul Heart -> Prankster
Steel/Fairy
- Shift Gear
- Spikes
- Stored Power
- Play Rough

Prankster Shift Gear/Hazards.

Gholdengo @ Raichunite Y
87/60/95/133/91/84 (old) -> 87/70/95/203/91/104 (new)
Ability: Surge Surfer
Steel/Ghost
- Nasty Plot
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Recover

Funny Surge Surfer Ghold, inspired by Surge Surfer Ghold from AAA. I wouldn't be surprised if it's too much, in which case I'll just switch to Raichunite X.
Edit: changed Nasty Plot to Recover

Roaring Moon @ Pinsirite

Ability: Aerilate
Dragon/Dark
- Dragon Dance
- Double-Edge
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Roaring Moon goes back to Dragon/Flying just like Salamence.

Still a few days before voting closes, but I wanted to flag a couple sets right away.

Ability: Surge Surfer
Steel/Ghost

- Thunderbolt

Please both of you remove Nasty Plot from these sets. Due to the high Special Attack and decent Speed increase, Nasty Plot would just make these sets too potent.

I will add the rest and format this to be nicer later on, but for now I want to get my initial ideas out there so that no one else takes them.

Ceruledge @ Barbaracite
75/125/80/60/100/85 -> 75/160/95/70/120/105
Ability: Weak Armor -> Tough Claws
Fire/Ghost -> Fire/Fighting
- Bitter Blade
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

Barbaracite provides Ceruledge with the fighting type, boosting the power of their Close Combats. Tough Claws provides a further boost to Close Combat while also boosting the power of Bitter Blade and Shadow Sneak. Attack, speed, and defenses are boosted, all of which Ceruledge appreciates. You can delay the mega evolution to gain speed with Weak Armor, and then rip through the opponent's team with boosted attacks.
I think this might be a bit too strong with Swords Dance + STAB Tough Claws Close Combat. I would recommend changing it to Bulk Up (which also synergizes well with have Weak Armor before Mega Evolving).

Those are my only big notes so far, all the rest seem to be fairly balanced. I appreciate that especially a number of the Gholdengo sets held off on giving it Nasty Plot as they increased its power and speed significantly.

Making notes of these now should ensure that any sets submitted over the next few days will be balanced with this similar idea of power in mind.

A more thorough sub review will come on Wednesday, voting closes on Friday.
