Smogon Premier League XVII - Semifinals

i put a lot of time and effort this season so i figured its worth a few words:

spl is my favorite tournament on here and im at a weird place where i really really enjoy the game but dont really have the time to commit just due to irl things. i dont plan on managing anymore so i was really hoping i could win this one. the dice didnt roll our way and we also just werent good enough when it mattered, oh well

would like to thank attribute who is one of the best teammates ive ever had. carrying our sv core for 10 weeks, especially dealing w the demon that is hellom, is a curse i wouldnt wish upon anybody (sorry llom ily bro but you are a threat to everyones sanity), and helping out in practically every tier, and then getting 8 wins on top of all that is such a steal for your insanely cheap retain price. its a pleasure to talk sv with you always and i appreciate you putting up w my trolling the entire season.

to the newcomers, i hope you all had a good first spl. my first spl was almost 10 years ago which kinda put into perspective how long its been, especially considering that i still feel like a newcomer next to guys like flict... and all the other dudes who have been around, its surreal to say the least. while some of you may not be happy with your season, i think what GSG said at the start rings true "i think our job as rookies is to improve as much as we can throughout the season" and its so cool to see that improvement firsthand!! yall are sick players and awesome ppl :heart:. hope you all have many more fun tours and get from this game what i did for many many years.

rooting for cryos but wouldnt be unhappy to see star or finch w a trophy! good luck to both finalists

Usually this is where you see me post a meme larping as the clash royale laughing emoji but id like to take this moment to address something that has been nagging me for quite some time. Three years ago during SPL I had nicknamed a rotom-w "DontMixBlack&White" as some sort of weird segregation joke which im not quite sure why I did that other than being young and stupid and I fully take accountability for how fucked up it was and how tone deaf it was to joke about. I apologise for my actions three years ago but I do not think I deserve to be constantly harassed by a singular jerk of people consisting of several midwest packrats for this one instance. Consistently being labelled a nazi and racist for something I did 3 years ago and then further taking any chance to jab at me whenever possible, even if its at the cost of leaking a team and sensitive personal information of my friend ( s.o MANNAT ) or just harassing my friends in general for associating with me. This behaviour has persisted since the beginning of SPL and well before that as well and I am honestly fed up with the cesspool culture that is Smogtours Discord always propagating the same agenda largely pushed by this singular group.
