Sturdy -> Filter
Archaludon @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
- Iron Head
- Body Press
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
Archaludon is a great defensive Pokemon with lots of utility. With this set, it sheds the Dragon type and mediocre Abilities for the brilliant Filter and pure Steel type. With its whopping 180 base Defense, Body Press hits incredibly hard, and it won't go down easily. It can spread paralysis with Thunder Wave, and get Rocks up with its free moveslot. While Heavy Slam is a brilliant offensive move, Archaludon prefers to use the standard Iron Head considering its low Weight. With Aggronite, Archaludon becomes a tough to break physical wall with status spreading capability.

Protosynthesis -> Adaptability
Gouging Fire @ Lucarionite
Ability: Protosynthesis
- Dragon Dance
- Heat Crash
- Outrage
- Morning Sun
Gouging Fire was destined for greatness. With its admirable bulk and solid offensive typing, it can use a lot of Mega Stones. I think Lucarionite serves it the best, bestowing upon it the coveted Adaptability. With Dragon Dance, it can boost its 150 Attack to greater heights, and Morning Sun provides much needed longevity to set up more Ddances. With 105/139/93 bulk, it can live most hits while dealing out massive damage with Adaptability boosted Heat Crashes and Outrages that makes even resistances shiver.

Good as Gold -> Magic Bounce
Gholdengo @ Sablenite
Ability: Good as Gold
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
Another more defensive Pokemon, Gholdengo steps up its defensive capability by upgrading its Good as Gold to Magic Bounce, and gains a whopping 50 points in both defenses. The extra 20 special attack points make its Make it Rains hit just a little harder, and it too spreads the Paralysis with Thunder Wave, keeping itself alive with Recover. With Sablenite, Gholdengo becomes tough to kill, and its 153 Special Attack gives it remarkable offensive utility at the same time.

Ceruledge @ Lopunnite
Ability: Weak Armor
- Bulk Up
- Bitter Blade
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
Ceruledge has a lot of available options, but Lopunnite providing a massive 60 attack on its already great 125 base brings it to the next level. With an unblockable STAB Close Combat and the ability to boost its Speed before Mega Evolving, Ceruledge can quickly spiral into an OHKO machine, keeping itself alive with Bitter Blade recovery and stocking Attack boosts with Bulk Up. Shadow Sneak provides priority to pick off weaker targets, and hits for insane damage even after losing its Ghost STAB.

Annihilape @ Pinsirite
Ability: Defiant
- Double-Edge
- Close Combat
- Rage Fist
- Bulk Up
While Annihilape isn't the biggest fan of shedding its Ghost type, it trades it in for another spectacular type, Flying. Aerilate allows its Double-Edges to dish out massive damage with its 145 Attack. Rage Fist still does huge damage even without STAB, and Bulk Up allows it to hit even harder and live longer with its impressive 110/100/110 bulk. Annihilape can safely sit on the field and dish out powerful moves while being tough to quickly remove.

Roaring Moon @ Charizardite X
Ability: Protosynthesis
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
Roaring Moon's 4x Fairy weakness is no more! Dropping off its Dark type for.. nothing.. it can click a Dragon Dance and live in the face of a Fairy type. With respectable 105/104/101 bulk and a monstrous 185 Attack, Roaring Moon with champion any foe with Tough Claws boosted Dragon Claws. Even Dragon resistances have to eat Iron Heads and Earthquakes to even reach Roaring Moon's impressive defenses. Roaring Moon can comfortably set up a Dragon Dance or two and then begin its sweep without worrying about Pixilate Extreme Speeds or pesky Dragon resistances.

Magearna @ Scolipite
Ability: Soul-Heart
- Calm Mind
- Dazzling Gleam
- Flash Cannon
- Trick Room
How do you make losing Speed useful? Trick Room, of course! 15 allows it to easily outspeed everything else in the tier, launching powerful Dazzling Gleams and Flash Cannons with the comfort of its 80/175/145 bulk. Calm Mind lets it comfortably build up attacking power while patching up its slightly lower Special Defense, turning it into a virtually unkillable beast, whether it goes first or not.

Walking Wake @ Houndoominite
Ability: Protosynthesis
- Flamethrower
- Hydro Steam
- Dragon Pulse
- Sunny Day
Walking Wake has many options with the unique effects of Hydro Steam - it can function in either rain or sun. With Houndoominite, it sets Sun, powering up its strong Hydro Steams and Flamethrowers, plus Solar Power's 1.5x Special Attack boost. Dragon Pulse provides strong STAB, letting it hit every type in the game at least neutrally. I'm really tired of writing of these analyses so I'm done.

Happy Friday everyone. Submissions are now closed. Due to the watchful eye of my co-council, we have a few submissions we would like to address to be vetoed before the voting starts.
:gholdengo: :magearna-mega:
Gholdengo @ Magearnite
87 HP / 60 Atk / 95 Def / 133 SpA / 91 SpD / 84 Spe -> 87 HP / 90 Atk / 95 Def / 173 SpA / 91 SpD / 114 Spe
Good As Gold -> Soul-Heart
- Nasty Plot
- Recover
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball

Powerful snowballing wallbreaker in Gholdengo with Magearnite, which allows it to constantly rack up boosts Everytime it gets a kill, which isn't hard with a Nasty Plot boosted Make It Rain off 173 SpA. 114 Speed is also pretty clutch, allowing it to creep alot more than it can in standard.
Please remove Nasty Plot from this set. With Soul Heart it becomes much too easy to snowball Sp. Atk boosts.

:gholdengo: :meganiumite: :meganium-mega:
Gholdengo @ Meganiumite
87/60/95/133/91/84 -> 87/70/110/193/106/84
Ability: Good as Gold -> Mega Sol
Steel/Ghost -> Steel/Fairy
- Make It Rain
- Dazzling Gleam
- Recover
- Nasty Plot

Meganiumite synergizes incredibly well with Gholdeno's typing pre-mega evolving. Fairy resists dark and is neutral to ghost, allowing for Gholdengo to sit in front of attackers that might otherwise counter them. Of the three stones that provide the fairy typing, Meganiumite provides the highest special attack. This is balanced by a useless ability and no speed increase, making Nasty Plot a fine move for this set (even PQRDG said so). Added bulk from the stone makes Recover an even more appealing choice. Make It Rain and Dazzling Gleam are the best attacks to run for this set.
While I had previously said this set was fine with Nasty Plot, I would recommend that you remove it. With Nasty Plot the set would have to have a much lower level in RandBats, thanks to just how high that Special Attack stat is.

:archaludon: :audinite:
Archaludon @ Audinite
90/105/130/125/65/85 -> 90/105/170/145/145/85
Stamina -> Healer
Steel/Fairy
- Flash Cannon
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Earthquake
Body Press sweeper with good bulk
Due to the solid typing and excellent bulk, we think that the physical defense of this is just too good when paired with Iron Defense. Please remove Iron Defense from its movepool. You can still get Defense boosts from Stamina before Mega Evolving, giving some strategy to how this set runs.

:archaludon: :blue orb: :kyogre-primal:
Archaludon @ Blue Orb
90/105/130/125/65/85 -> 90/155/130/155/85/85
Ability: Stamina -> Primordial Sea
- Electro Shot
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Aura Sphere

The Blue Orb provides Archaludon with permanent rain that cannot be shut down by any other weather available. This allows them to rip off Electro Shots as they please, racking up special attack boosts. Though a lot of stat points are used on physical attack, the boosts to special attack and special defense combined with the amazing value of Primordial Sea makes this Archaludon a threat to be reckoned with.
Please modify this set. We have determined it is too strong, partially thanks to the power of freely-boosted Draco Meteors, and partially due to the coverage Aura Sphere gives to hit the Steel/Ground or Steel/Electric types that would resist its other three moves. Please switch Draco Meteor for a different Dragon move and replace Aura Sphere with a different move entirely.

Not a veto but I would like to see a bit more justification for this set as it overlaps with Athena's set above. Personally this set is closer to what my above veto would ideally look like, so I want to ensure both of these sets feel unique if we go into voting phase.

My co-council had a couple other sets that they thought should be flagged, but I think they are balanced for this format, if perhaps they will have to have their levels lowered. Due to the power level of a Mix and Mega format, the rest of these should be fine.

I will give you all 12 hours to edit your sets. Once all of the sets have been corrected voting will begin.

Thank you all for making the requested modifications, and special thanks to AthenaStrive9 for subbing a completely new Archaludon after I pointed out how similar it was to OSP's.

Voting will now begin. I will edit this post later this evening to give a quick link to the spreadsheet so you can more easily see all 71(!) sets that are available for voting.

Just like last slate, you vote for your top three, with the first one being worth two votes. You only have enough self votes equal to half your submissions (rounded down) and you may not put a self-vote in first place. Apologies to the two of you who only submitted one sub each, but you do not get any self votes.

The following submissions have a unique typing for that respective Pokemon, and therefore get a free +1 vote in this phase:

iforgetwhyimhere :D 's Pinsirite Annihilape (Fighting/Flying)
AthenaStrive9 's Gyaradosite Archaludon (Steel/Dark)
flareth13 's Pinsirite Archaludon (Steel/Flying)
iforgetwhyimhere :D 's Aggronite Archaludon (Steel)
MafuSimp 's Audinite Archaludon (Steel/Fairy)
flareth13 's Chimechite Ceruledge (Fire/Steel)
PQRDG 's Staraptite Ceruledge (Fighting/Ghost)
AthenaStrive9 's Audinite Gholdengo (Steel/Fairy)
MafuSimp 's Wellspring Mask Gholdengo (Steel/Water) [lucky to get it in right before the buzzer]
pecha nerd 's Pinsirite Gouging Fire (Fire/Flying)
Cyaneedle 's Pinsirite Magearna (Steel/Flying)
MafuSimp 's Rusted Sword Magearna (Steel) [you have the wrong ability listed from when you switched from Shield to Sword]
iforgetwhyimhere :D 's Charizardite-X Roaring Moon (Dragon)
Lysion 's Pinsirite Roaring Moon (Dragon/Flying)
PQRDG 's Aggronite Roaring Moon (Dragon/Steel)
AthenaStrive9 's Altarianite Walking Wake (Water/Fairy)

If one of your sets is not in this list, it is because someone else submitted a set for that same Pokemon with a different Mega Stone with the same type change.

Voting closes Monday morning.

Bulk Up Annihilape sounded egregious here, but shit is going up against extremely powerful forces so we are packing the heat with Iron Fist Golurkite Annihilape. Hit them with multiple boosted Drain Punches and Rage Fists, hope the opponent lacks Toxic and honestly go to town.

- Double-Edge
- Burning Bulwark
- Dragon Dance
One of the main stones that led to Gouging's ban in base MnM. Gives it a good defensive typing and ground immunity and lets it spam 144BP flying STAB. In this set, I implemented an artifical "restriction" by not giving it EQ, thereby letting it get checked by pre-mega Heatran and Garganacl. :totodiLUL:

- Poltergeist
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
Ever since ZA Stones were revealed, I've been thinking about how well Ceru could run Eelektrossite. Latiosite was already a good stone on it, despite not giving any speed boost, Eelektrossite is pretty much just fast Latiosite.

Roaring Moon @ Sharpedonite

Ability: Protosynthesis -> Strong Jaw
- Jaw Lock
- Fire Fang
- Thunder Fang
- U-turn

Sharpedonite grants Roaring Moon the amazing ability Strong Jaw, boosting the power of their already strong move Jaw Lock. Jaw Lock allows Roaring Moon to trap opponents, securing KOs or allowing for easy re-positioning thanks to additionally having U-turn. Fire Fang and Thunder Fang also receive damage boosts from Strong Jaw, providing great coverage.

Ability: Soul Heart -> Tough Claws

- Stored Power
- Calm Mind
- Shift Gear

Tough Claws is almost always reserved for physical attackers as very few special moves make contact. However, Draining Kiss is one of the few moves that makes contact, meaning it is boosted by Tough Claws. Metagrossite additionally boosts Magearna's defenses and speed, making this demon setup set even more potent.

All right. Before we begin slate 3, just a bit of bookkeeping that we need to make sure are addressed.

A handful of stones have had their new abilities revealed, so make sure you know their new abilities. If you use these stones, you will be using these officially coded abilities. Any other stones, even if their abilities are revealed during this slate, will keep their ability as it is listed now.

:meganium-mega: :Meganiumite: Overgrow -> Mega Sol
:feraligatr-mega: :Feraligite: Torrent -> Dragonize
:emboar-mega: :Emboarite: Blaze -> Mold Breaker
:dragonite-mega: :Dragoninite: Inner Focus -> Multiscale
:froslass-mega: :Froslassite: Snow Cloak -> Snow Warning

Final bit of bookkeeping, which is relevant for this slate: I have been asked at some point if Sleep moves will be allowed in this format. Due to certain stone combinations allowing effects like Prankster Spore or No Guard Hypnosis, I will officially be saying that there is a Sleep Moves Clause for the duration of this PetMod.

With that noted, here is the new slate.

Slate 3: Fast and Furious
:sv/regieleki: :sv/dragapult: :sv/zamazenta: :sv/darkrai: :sv/gengar: :sv/weavile: :sv/iron boulder: :sv/shaymin-sky:

A bunch of fast Pokemon join us for this slate. A lot of them are very dangerous, so we need a handful of balancing warnings on them.

First off, none of these Pokemon may hold Diancite. Secondly, any Pokemon with a special Attack above 90 may not hold a Zygardite.

:regieleki: This Pokemon CAN learn Extreme Speed. However, it must not be holding a stone that gives it STAB on the move.
:iron boulder: This Pokemon must maintain its Rock/Psychic typing.
:weavile: This Pokemon may not have the ability Tough Claws or Technician.

Final thing for this slate: while repeat stone are technically allowed, in order to promote diversity in the sets, we have a new bonus to the voting this round. Anyone who submits all eight Pokemon, and gives them all unique Mega Stones that do not overlap with any previous winners will get a free +1 vote to all of their submissions at the end of the slate.

Edit: :pidgeot-mega: :pidgeotite: Pidgeotite will remain legal this slate as well. The main post will be updated to show Pidgeotite as a legal stone, and the new abilities of the ZA Mega Stones.

:Altaria-mega:
Regieleki @ Altarianite
80/100/50/100/50/200 -> 80/140/70/140/50/200
Ability: Transistor -> Pixilate
Electric -> Electric/Fairy
- Body Slam
- Volt Switch
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion

Altarianite provides Regieleki with improved offenses and the ability Pixilate, allowing for Regieleki to use powerful moves that aren't the electric type. Both offensively and defensively, electric and fairy complement each other. This set primarily runs fairy type moves, with Body Slam being used to spread paralysis, Rapid Spin to remove hazards, and Explosion to serve as a one time nuke. Fairly straightforward but does the job well.

:sv/Dragapult:

:Greninja-Mega:
Dragapult @ Greninjite
88/120/75/100/75/142 -> 88/150/85/130/85/162
Ability: Clear Body -> Protean
- Dragon Darts
- Fire Blast
- Hydro Pump
- U-turn

Protean allows Dragapult to take advantage of their wide pool of coverage moves, while also making up for the lack of strong ghost moves. Dragon, fire, and water hit many types in the game for super effective damage, while also hitting foes on both the physical and special side. U-turn also benefits from Protean, while allowing Dragapult to switch out freely.
:sv/Zamazenta:

:Groudon-Primal:
Zamazenta @ Red Orb
92/120/115/80/115/138 -> 92/150/135/130/115/138
Ability: Dauntless Shield -> Desolate Land
Fighting -> Fighting/Fire
- Close Combat
- Fire Fang
- Heavy Slam
- Crunch

You get the Dauntless Shield boost before primal reversion! Fighting and fire is an amazing offensive and defensive type, further powered up by Desolate Land removing the weakness to water and further boosting the otherwise weak move Fire Fang. While the Red Orb primarily boosts special attack, it does also provide a boost to attack and defense.

Darkrai @ Absolite-Z
70/90/90/135/90/125 -> 70/114/90/135/90/201
Ability: Bad Dreams -> Magic Bounce
Dark -> Dark/Ghost
- Dark Pulse
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp
- Nasty Plot

With there being plenty of strong fighting types in the meta now, the added ghost typing from Absolite-Z allows for Darkrai to sit in front of them while still being an effective abuser of dark type attacks. The ghost typing also allows for Hex to receive stab, meaning that Darkrai can use Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical attackers and then hit hard back. 201 speed means that Darkrai will barely outspeed Regieleki assuming equal levels and them not receiving a stone that improves speed.

Gengar @ Chimechite
60/65/60/130/75/110 -> 60/65/90/170/105/110
Ability: Cursed Body -> Levitate
Ghost/Poison -> Ghost/Steel
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Focus Blast
- Encore

Gengar is reliving the glory days, sporting Levitate once more. With 4 immunities thanks to the new steel typing, Encore can be used to lock opponents into moves that do nothing to Gengar. Shadow Ball is the main stab move of choice, with Dazzling Gleam and Focus Blast providing amazing coverage.

:Heracross-Mega:
Weavile @ Heracronite
70/120/65/45/85/125 -> 70/180/105/45/95/115
Ability: Pressure -> Skill Link
- Icicle Spear
- Throat Chop
- Low Kick
- Ice Shard

Trading some speed for absurd attack and an always-reliable ice type move, Heracronite makes Weavile a force to be reckoned with. Throat Chop is used over Knock Off due to every available Pokémon holding a mega stone. Low Kick provides coverage, while Ice Shard provides priority.

:Latios-Mega:
Iron Boulder @ Latiosite
90/120/80/68/108/124 -> 90/160/100/98/118/124
Ability: Quark Drive -> Levitate
- Mighty Cleave
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

Levitate removes one of Iron Boulder's many weaknesses, potentially giving them some staying power. Of the stones that boost attack, Latiosite provides the most, making it the most appealing choice. Defenses are also boosted, though with the poor defensive typing this matters very little. Mighty Cleave is the main stab move, with Close Combat hitting steel types and many other Pokémon in the meta. Earthquake deals with Gholdengo, Magearna, and a few Pokémon from this slate assuming they receive no type changes, while also being more accurate than Zen Headbutt.

Shaymin-Sky @ Aggronite
100/103/75/120/75/127 -> 100/133/125/120/95/127
Ability: Serene Grace -> Fliter
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

Grass and steel is an amazing defensive typing, further bolstered by the added bulk and Filter provided by Aggronite. This set takes advantage of the SubSeed combination, allowing for Shaymin to sit in front of opponents and force switches. Seed Flare is an amazing stab choice, and Earth Power gives Shaymin a way of dealing with steel and fire types.

Unique take on Alt Eleki. RSpin boosts EBall's damage, while TBlast Fairy gives secondary STAB. Modest TBolt can be rolled instead to give a more consistent Electric STAB at the cost of being worse into fatter Pokemon.
