You never posted to say that you were online at game time, nor did you follow up to try and schedule any further after game time.

I'll grant based on the not seen since Thursday

Forgot to post in thread, can we extend playing tuesday

My opponent, NDD To The Top, called act despite showing up an hour before the agreed upon time. We had been unable to do it on Friday, March 27th, so we agreed to do it at the same time the next day. This was at 4:56 pm UTC-7. The next day, at 3:48 pm UTC-7 NDD To The Top messaged me about doing the match. As I don't consistently get notifications for Smogon, & it was not the time we had decided, I did not show up. Because I didn't show up an hour before our scheduled time, NDD To The Top called ACT on me. They have yet to respond to any of my messages about this(on my profile, thread started by them). I thought at first that maybe NDD To The Top had experienced a DST timezone change, which would result in the one hour disconnect, but upon checking, the time they said it was for them aligned with their initially stated UTC-4. It could not have been a DST timezone shift on my end as I live in a location which does not do DST. I feel this is unfair & am willing to provide screenshot proof that NDD To The Top showed up an hour early.

Already said but just to make sure, I want to keep playing next week even though I lost by activity

This is incorrect. Your opponent messaged saying they were online at 02:35, you replied over an hour late at 03:47 apologizing, and they then said same time tomorrow at 03:56. Therefore the agreed upon time was 02:30 (or 02:35 if you wish to be specifically pedantic)

After you agreed to that time (even if you misinterpreted their messages and agreed to a later time that was never offered), your opponent messaged at 02:32 saying they would be a few minutes late (as is standard protocol for a delay) and then messaged that they were online at 02:48. You then once again showed up over an hour late (03:47) after which your opponent had already claimed act

I acknowledge that before this point NDD did not actually set a time to play, and simply tried to yolo with a rfn, but based on the conversation that follows the only interpretation I can make is that the implicit agreement was based on the time NDD was online, not you

I'm confused they said same time tomorrow 3:56, how was it 2:35? Saying "same time" at 3:56 literally means that it would be at they same they said that, in this case 3:56. That is, as far as I am aware, just grammatically correct English.

"Same time" means the same time that they were around, not "this exact moment in time that I am sending this message" - it refers to the 2:35 "hey im on right now" message, since that was the time they were on to play the match

apologies, 3:35. "Same time" means the same time that they were around, not "this exact moment in time that I am sending this message"
I apologize for I am still confused on how it could be the first definition you sent. Not counting this situation, I cannot remember a time where I have seen "same time" used in a way other than the second definition. As far as I am aware, basing upon the people I surround myself & regularly communicate with, "same time", as used in scheduling, means your second definition; give or take 15 minutes to arrive at the nearest half hour. I accept this ACT loss so as to not make this a bigger deal, but I do feel cheated*, here.

*Not the best word, but I can't think of a less antagonizing one in the time I'm typing this message.

if I say to you "hey lets play at noon", noon rolls by and we both miss time, then at 1pm I say "oops I overslept, lets just do same time tomorrow" that means play at noon tomorrow, not 1pm tomorrow. The omitted text is "same time as planned, except tomorrow"
since in your case there wasn't actually a planned time, only an rfn from ndd, the only interpretation the host team could find was that they were referring to the time they were online (xx:35) when they said "same time"

I am still confused as to why a person would ever omit vital text from a conversation, but I understand you probably have more important stuff to do than sort this out. I appreciate your attempts to clear this up. I understand there's not an easy way to just translate to a person's local slang & understanding of words. In the future, I will just ask for more clarification if somebody says the same. Once again, I thank you for doing your best to help clear up the multiple problems I have had over this tournament. I apologize for how I have been or had a problem in multiple different rounds.
