- There will be no manager signups for UUFPL Pokemon Champions.
- There will be no retains
- Tournament banned and circuit banned users are encouraged to sign up! However they are not allowed to play.
- Players and Managers already playing in UUPL can still sign up with no restrictions! (sort of, see below)
- All players will be grouped into tiers after signups close.
- Each "player tier"" will have a point value associated to them corresponding to what the UU Council believes that player's ability is. Teams will then be created semi randomly with all players being on a team and all teams having the exact same total "value" based on points.
- note: players already in UUPL may have a more inflated point value.

- SV Doubles UU
- SV LC UU
- SS UU + Aegislash
- SM UU + Staraptor
- ORAS UU + Scolipede
- BW UU + Chandelure
- DPP UU + Abomasnow

- RBY UU

- All teams start with a global 100 points to spend on the rights to use certain pokemon in certain tiers.
- By default, all teams are allowed to use pokemon below UU for free
- Every single UU tier will have a list breakdown of how much each pokemon costs to use for the remainder of the tournament.
- Prior to Week 1, teams will spend all their points spread out across all tiers to determine what pokemon they can use!
- As an example, here is what the list would look like for GSC UU:
- 5 pts each
- 4 pts each
- 3 pts each
- 2 pts each
- 1 pt each
+ anything below UU - FREE TO USE!
- 99 pts
- For better clarity, here is a specific scenario on how this works in real time using GSC UU
- Johnny B Great's team, The Azz Kickin Azelfs, allocates 12 of their global points to GSC for the tournament and purchase the rights to use Haunter, Granbulll, Omastar, and Muk (12 total pts) for the remainder of the tournament. An example of a legal team Johnny can bring would look like this:

- You will GAIN MORE POINTS for each individual win your players get! This means that you will be able to BUY more pokemon rights to use as the season goes along! (total amounts TBD)
- There will be no official "standings" for this UUFPL. Instead, teams that win more often than others will naturally have better equipped squads given the points they have.
- After the season is over, all 8 teams move to a "Battle Royale" Playoffs format!!!!!!!!!!

- For a small fee of $3.99 per month for a Smogon+ subscription, individual players can get 5 free points each week to have more available pokemon to use!
- Additionally, if a player wants the ability to use even more pokemon, they can buy more points at a rate of $2 per point (5 point minimum purchase each time)
- For a better value, players can buy a MYSTERY UUFPL BOX for $5 which will randomly contain 3 pokemon from their tier that can be used for the week!
- All proceeds will be donated to various charities so you are contributing to a good cause.
