Hi NU. I don't enjoy having to make threads like this but I felt I would be doing you all a disservice by not addressing the recent Shengineer controversy head-on rather than waiting for the backlash before responding. I'm sure you've all heard about the many discussions we've been having in NU about the prevalence of Grassy Terrain and it's impact on the meta. This has been a divisive topic for years at this point and been the root of many controversial conversations between NUers, and as we know, when people are passionate things can get heated. That being said, I also hold all members of the NU Council at a high standard, and expect them to engage in conduct which is befitting of a community figure.

That is why I was forced to make the difficult decision of removing Shengineer from the NU Council permanently, and sentencing him to 12 months of community service tallying (by hand) the amount of Braviary and Toucannons on the NU Ladder. Simply put, his suggestion of 'getting good and using whirlwind copperajah' was highly innappropriate, inaccurate, dismissive, and hurtful to people in the communtiy who flooded me with messages demanding he retract his statements. Unfortunately, I received such an overwhelming amount of DMs that myself and Rabia simply cannot read through and respond to them all. Due to this unforseen dilemma, I've been forced to resort to desperate measures to ensure that we can address your community concerns in a timely manner and make sure that Shengineer never yaps inncorrect nonsense about terrain again.

Django is now our third NeverUsed Tier Leader!!!!!!!! Congratulations and Welcome to the Team!!!!

Make sure you give him a warm welcome, we're thrilled to have him on board!! Stay tuned for more massive bombshells dropping in NU later this week... :v4:

Congratulations Django you are such a young and upcoming player. Truly the future of mons and our community.
 
Good riddance. Shengineer has been a cancer to this community for far too long and I’m glad the leaders are finally taking action. However, are we really making Django tier leader? Not that he isn’t capable, I just think there are other candidates that are more suited for the job, particularly Uberfiend for his innovations in teambuilding, basically warping the entire meta around that style of play. I suppose a good decision in this community had to have been balanced out by a questionable one. Such is life.
