Oyster changed his nickname to metagame whisperer at some point in the RU server, though I'm not sure what metagame he is referring to because it clearly isn't SV RU. Despite this he and fvkumean make a really solid pair, SV SS and SM should have competent QC throughout the tour. NatDex is probably loading samples all tour tho

Tsuki and MJ is a crazy combo, she really asked everyone with a pulse and got the British QC guy to assman. For what it's worth he is actually the bigger name (with a bigger game) and they should have a great server environment and decent enough QC on pastes.

Tier Two:
Lyra and siras
Flabeauf and Nemosse
Slikkles and im_m0rtal.

Lyra and siras are both fine managers from what I have seen and experienced (SIRAS carried bum ass Beraldo to RUPL playoffs two years ago with a pre-solving SV RU version of me). They'll be fine.

Flab and Nemosse are equally French and therefore equally bad, but Flab at least is a funny dude. Not like haha funny but the kinda funny where you laugh at what they say because it's pretty outlandish and just dumb as can be. On a real note, if a smidge of Flab's luck rubs off on his team, they win this tour.

Slikkles is a grinder who cares a lot, too much maybe, but legit I couldn't tell you who this co is. I am pretty sure slikky said in RU disc that he didn't know this person either so this is gonna be a weird team environment perhaps.

Tier Three:
Astro and Rarelyme
Yash Vortex and Vulpix03
SoulCarlos and mielke

I don't think Astro has played mons in years (maybe longer for meaningful games) and Rare is an interesting case of a TL-adjacent person that legit doesn't play their tier in any real capacity. Two spectator mains with limited RU playing experience is not moving the needle.

Yash Vortex and Vulpix03 is an interesting pair. Vulpix, to my knowledge, also has experience carrying Beraldo in RUPLs but hasn't engaged with the tier really in a long time I don't think. Yash is... a smogon user it seems.

mielke is a solid person and player, though he's cursed to always go negative in the ADV low tiers. His co is... somebody?
 
Hellooo, if you wish to be part of the Meloetta Division, feel free to send a resume to Astro or myself on Discord (gastrodonsouth or rarelyme) including your most impressive feats in the tier and what you wish to achieve during this RUGL (sending a couple replays is also always nice, maximum 5 is enough).
Our goal is to give a shot to the most motivated players out there; I will be online in the RU room fairly often so don't hesitate to challenge me in any tier you would like to tryout for. I also pay close attention to room tournaments so do use these opportunities to show your skills as well.

If you can see the difference between RU spectator mains and involved players then you probably have been in touch with the community and are worth drafting so shoot your shot, you might be the next member of the Meloetta Division.

RUGL will be hosting tryout tournmanents held in Rarelyused room on dates prior to the RUGL draft. The full brackets and winners for these tryout tours will be posted here for all managers to see, and are a great way to back up your pitch to any managers you'd like to be drafted by!

The ADV Field Guide for RUGL Managers

Hi Hello Howdy, if you're a manager you probably know me from bugging you in your tryout server, and if you're a player you may know me as the weirdo who loads Sub SD Lum Kabutops. Of all the tiers I've invested my time into, for whatever reason ADV RU's community is the only one I've really been involved with. As I'm sure you're aware, ADV is the most recently created RU tier (that's being featured in this tour, rip gsc you were scammed) and as such there aren't nearly as many dedicated players for it, and there may be managers not familiar with the ADV pool. However, it's seen a ton of development in the ~ 2.5 years it's been around, and in my opinion it is a fantastic metagame. It's well-balanced and has lots of room for skill expression, contrary to the belief held by some charlatans that it's more luck-based and inconsistent than BW RU. My point here is that good ADV players here are in low supply and (hopefully) high demand, especially since I doubt there will be enough for every team to have an experienced ADV starter.

The ADV pool has been really fun for me to watch in RUPL, and I would hate for that experience to be diluted in this tour just because the pool is innately weaker. I truly believe we can have a great tour for ADV, and I want to highlight the people I think would be great assets to that slot (that I know of, don't take it personally if you're not here lol). Note that I've only played the tier for like 6 months now, so there may be some players who put up great results that I just wouldn't have been around to see. There is also a good amount of people who signed up for ADV that don't (at least I don't think) plan to start in that slot, so while I'm sure those people are fine on their own merits, I won't include them here. Lastly, I wanted to post this now so managers can see this in time to use it for proper ADV planning, but if I see someone else sign up that I think deserves to be on this list, I'll edit this post to include them here in the future. I'm sure you know him, he's very active in RU and is familiar with multiple gens. I'm not sure where he'll end up being slotted this tour, but if you get a solid BW player I recommend putting Heatranator here. He's a great player and had a decent showing in the recently concluded ADV RU 2026 Shifts Tour, losing in a close game 3 to Amity aka John ADV RU. I haven't talked with him much but he seems like a good guy, so bonus points for teamcord vibes. It'd be a crime if this guy went undrafted.

A newer face to ADV RU, but still a solid player. I've heard great things about him in gens 1-3 from various people, one of which said they "have never seen someone so new work so hard to improve in such a short period of time in a variety of formats". I recently got the chance to play him for the 2026 Shifts Tour and he put up a damn good fight; certainly not the most experienced out of the pool but definitely has the fundamentals to succeed with the right support. In fairness, he did load sample teams the entirety of that tour, so I'd recommend having someone else on the team that can either help build or sanity check or test whatever PHB decides to load.

Big olgden lower tier player, not super familiar with Phil's game in ADV RU, but if it's anything like the other tiers they're familiar with then they should be able to pull their weight. I had them as a manager for the inaugural ADVLTL and they were a great and active presence in the server (I guess that's kind of the standard for managers, but you get the point). Pretty motivated player, I have to imagine they'd go positive if slotted into ADV.

I hadn't heard of him before RUPL, but this guy's great. We wound up on the same RUPL team and he's done well for us so far, currently 3-1 in SV. He's an active member of the team and is generally willing to help people test for any slot there. I also had the chance of playing against him in the ADV RU Shifts Tour in a really fun set that came down to a triple-digit game 3. This guy's a motivated, versatile, and overall great player who can absolutely succeed in the ADV slot if you need him to.

Haha cuz its loneling. Yeah I couldn't find a better mon to use here. Anyway this guy isn't really known for ADV RU in particular, but honestly he's solid. I played him a while back for an ADV UU tour and he played really well there. Don't have much else to say except this could be a worthwhile 3k pickup if you need it.

This one is being put here like an hour before the draft so I hope managers end up seeing this lol. I was going to look back through the signup thread but due to a couple factors I didn't end up doing so, and now I don't have time to put everyone in here. The main reason I bring this up is because Zcarlett is the only person who specifically asked me to include her here, which tells me she certainly wants to get into this tour. Great ADV player; we met in Top 8 of ADV RU Open last year and it was a fun series. I'm pretty sure she builds for this tier (at least she does for other tiers so that's what I'm working with). Pretty cool person and should perform well given she gets the chance.

If you've been around RU for the past while, you probably know him. I think he made top 16 in RU Seasonal like a year ago, honestly not a bad result at all. He's a great presence in teamcords, and while he's been on a slight burnout from mons at the moment, he's still a good player and has shown he can absolutely do well if he's motivated --- and I'm sure he will be motivated in a teamtour environment. Unfortunately he is weird and bald and poor so minus points for that, but if you're looking for an SV sub or potential starter, I rate him quite highly.

Probably the newest player on here within the tour scene. Biggest thing I have to say here is that she's very motivated to learn and improve, and let's not forget that's kinda the whole point of this tour: to foster a good teamtour environment for lesser-known players. Maybe this is too far in that direction, I really don't know. But if you've filled out most of your roster and are still sitting on some money near the end of the draft, please consider her. She's motivated and capable of improving a lot.

I've never made a post like this before, so there may be some things I messed up here, but again I do think all of these people deserve to be drafted and can do well in the ADV slot. Self sufficient and creative builder for SV. I will start SV all weeks if needed but would like to play other tiers like ND, ORAS, and ADV.

Also only some of the things Don said about me are true. I’ll leave it up to the reader to guess which ones.

i wanna do some shoutouts for some dedicated and underrated players who should be picked up.
L Lawliet - Ive played a few testgames with this guy and ive been pretty impressed and their creativity. Not the most insane tour results but they made r8 of ru ssnl and have done well on ladder. I will say they have some the most motivation for this tier i have seen so far so should definitely be picked up.
Durk27 - Im going be as objective as possible since i feel like for rupl i didnt sell this guy as much as i could have. 3 time regional winner, qualified for worlds, beat ming and made round 9 in his first ru tour, r12 bw ssnl, r10 oras ssnl do i need to say more?
Winterbub - He gets the youtuber buff so your team is guaranteed playoffs. But for real i vouch for what he said above + hes been pretty active in the community from what ive seen so give him a shot.
PTKmoekyuun - Ive been keeping track of ssnl for my tournament stats and ive noticed they have been killing it so far. They are both currently in round 12 of ru ssnl and still in winners which is crazy. And its not just a easy run either they have played big names like soulking0 and when they are playing less experienced players they are winning with ease.

The NDRU Pool

about15galsCommon face in NDFL RU slots, building preferences can be really cheesy if you aren't hounding her. Ingame play leaves something to be desired so should probably double up with drafting a stronger starter for slot efficiency.
Big Chungus irlAnother common NDFL player, he tends to make these killer fat teams and have a lot of eccentric teambuilding practices, but not explicitly cheese. Ingame play isn't too shabby. Can probably play the season fine with no risk.
Dead by Daylight
They tend to get high marks in individual tours and FL environments for NDRU. I believe they played it last year? Make sure they don't load Webs and slot should be fine.​
Fluore
Recently released from jail but before that, they were one of the better players of this tier. They prob need support to shake off the rust.​
HeatranatorI can't really vouch for ingame play but this is an RU tour and this is his community so there's probably others that can do this better. From a builder perspective his ideas are pretty nice, nothing too extreme. He's seen helping a lot of teams on the sidelines. I played in NDFL too i think?
HoopsEveryone know Hoops surely, I'm not 100% sure if they selfbuild so support couldn't hurt.
IrideIride is really good at building despite not really publically showing outside of teamcords. Very powerful ingame play as well with strong results elsewhere on site.

Not really a chatty fellow in the community but they're a longtime regular in the tier especially for NDFL (I'm pretty sure they played last RUGL too).​
LB
Under db's tutilage they seem to have a firm grasp of the metagame and are even learning to make teams for themselves. They still could probably use support but they are really good at mons in general so he's definitely worth picking up.​
LBN
Council + multiple good NDPL / NDCL runs, very good and out of the box builder. Unfortunately Pannuracotta runs his block in all categories :(​
Medasus
Another NDFL face. Think they tend to miss marks sometimes in the builder and playing isn't always up to par but it's definitely possible to iron both out within the confines of a regular season.​
mrfraudVery powerful builder and player doesn't require a lot of support at all and is very consistent with both team choice and ingame play.
Rafadude
Council with solid records in NDPL/NDCL.​

That ND Slam Banner is no joke. After winning NDRU Open and Slam, he's managed to consistently turn out in tours like NDPL and NDCL. Very good builder as well.​
SapoDaG30After spending a ludicrous amount of time being undrafted and being my helper in team tours, he has turned out to be a really solid player and can stand his ground against much strong players both ingame and in the builder. Lot of good showings in the ND section for a lot of tiers.
