Tournament Introducing: UUFPL Pokémon Champions - PLAYER SIGNUPS [APRIL FOOLS]

BigFatMantis so many people loved or would've been interested in playing in a tour with this format so there might be something here.. but this was obviously an april fools joke, sorry to disappoint you all!

Real UUFPL will be coming very shortly and there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to make sure this tournament delivers the same way as usual! I'd also like to take the opportunity to announce that AJ is stepping up and will be taking over as UUFPL main host so give him a warm welcome! If you have any ideas and would love to help the tournament in any way be it with hosting, art or anything else really, feel free to reach out to him over on discord (justdrew_).

"Disappointed" is putting it lightly. I truly do not believe that there is any combination of words in the English dictionary that could allow me to come even slightly close to properly expressing the abyssal darkness that has grown in me at the revelation that UUFPL Pokemon Champions was but a mere farce. What will become of Aegislash? Of Staraptor? Of Scolipede, Chandelure, Abomasnow, Articuno, the ruleset of SV Anything Goes with the Pokemon of RBY UU? Of LUGIA? Such transgressions upon all of these Pokemon simply cannot be brushed off by invoking "April Fool's". If anyone were to overlook this atrocity, then perhaps they are the real fool. Justice shall be delivered, in one way or another. Perhaps, in the so-called "real" UUFPL, all managers should sign up with teams that represent these Pokemon that have been slighted. Some may call it virtue signaling or performative, but I believe that change starts with us, no matter how small. One day, we will have a true UUFPL utopia, where anyone can pay multiple dollars to use Lugia in any tier. Even if we ourselves will be unable to use Lugia in SV UU, LC UU, SV Doubles UU, SS UU, SM UU, ORAS UU, BW UU, DPP UU, ADV UU, GSC UU or RBY UU in our lifetimes, that does not mean future generations do not deserve to play such wonderful metagames. I hope my words, no matter how feeble they may sound amongst the roaring winds of UU, have reached someone. Maybe even the tyrants who have taken away such an esteemed tournament from us. #LUGIAFOREVER #UUFPLPOKEMONCHAMPIONS

Evakiyama has put it best. We’re tired of elite team tours of playing the same tiers over and over again, just because they’re the “current gen staple,” or “classic, iconic UU tiers” like ADV UU. Simply disgusted at the robbery of an opportunity such as playing RBY UU but you play it in SV Anything Goes, and being able to purchase Lugia for any tier with real life money. I, the jackuzzler will not stand for this. Additionally, what about the people who actually really suck at Pokemon like me, and need to purchase Ubers to use in UU to win? What if I just wanted to use Abomasnow in DPP UU? UUFPL Champions would give everyone an opportunity to play, and give anyone a chance to win if they deposit real life money to use better Pokemon. Even really bad players like eeriespell
