What is the bug?

In Gen 1 Stadium there are the following bugs that i myself know about:

1. Counter is supposed to be fixed. All jank related to it is not present in stadium. In the replay you can see i could counter the switch.

2. Neither player is supposed to be notified when partial trapping ends. On sim, both are.

3. If a mon is using PT, and either mon switches out, the turn ends unless the opponent switches. This is not the case on sim.

4. When a mon hits themself in confusion, it is supposed to brodcast the selected move. This is not the case on sim either. Video Proof

5. Confusion is supposed to work like it does in normal RBY. On sim currently, you are able to hit yourself in confusion when asleep and you fail to burn a sleep turn.

6. Mons with an illegal move (Tradebacks included) are supposed to have a purple name, barring fly pikachu and acid diglett. While this isnt expected, some sort of notification to replace it would be nice.

Btw the above thread like, exists and im not sure if 100% of whats said to be fixed actually is so its worth mentioning, especially since a ton of the stuff that was supposedly fixed just isnt.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?

interested in tackling bug #4 first (confusion self-hit). planning to handle these one by one to keep the PRs clean and focused. is anyone else already on this?
 
about #6, i'm down to implement the purple names for illegal moves (maybe in the battle logs or hover tooltips). but since it's a visual change, i wanted to confirm if this is something the staffs actually wants on the sim or if it clashes with current ui standards. for now i'll focus on the mechanics bugs first.
 
Sorry to bump this thread but it appears all but #5 have been fixed (and 6 but that isnt rly a bug.) any chance it can be merged? We have ongoing tournaments using this mod (and some people genuinely play the meta mostly on stadium) so this getting implemented is actually really important.
 
unfortunately, i don't have write access, so i can't merge it myself. i need to wait for someone to review and merge.
 
New Stadium mechanic:

It turns out switching does not reset the counter flag, rather just makes counter fail that turn, with the storage mechanics working exactly like normal RBY.

The reason this wasn't already known seems to be due to counter desync shenanigans on base RBY making switching the most likely way one would be able to counter a move in the damage storage. (Which is irrelevant to you guys but its worth noting.)

Edit:
Tested with paralyzation, recharge and confusion. You are always able to counter confusion self hit and sleep (if they were unable to select a move that turn) and are never able to counter paralyzation or recharge.
