Metagame Champions OU Metagame Discussion

The only changes that should be allowed compared to the Champions game is 6v6 and the Endless Battle Clause.

For me, the Item Clause must be respected as it is in Champions; this will finally allow us to know if this Clause is good or not in 6v6, not just through theory, but through practice. It's a shame so many items are missing.

(And lmaooooo, poor Mega-Skarmory...)

Question: What about allowing Sleep? The status effect has been nerfed, but will probably remain too powerful if it's possible to put multiple targets to sleep. Will we still try it, or will it be banned outright? I don't think we can reinstate the Sleep Clause, because it's a complex ban that's outdated.

Sup everybody am I too late? Honestly champion OU already may face so many problems I am a player who joined in gen 8 so I have never experienced pre-HDB era, I really hope we will able to find solution around it and absence of best trio of offensive is crazy (choice spec, choice band, and life orb) so I think value of offensive mega will increase and nobody be like my choice spec dragonite deals more damage then mega dragonite I actually recently did that to prover inferiority of Dragonite-Mega so I guess with no legionaries mega evolved forms will be only powerhouse of game so are we banning hazards or what? I don't think admin would consider it since hazard are kind of identity of 6 vs 6 smogon formats

two questions.
1. assuming we know more items will be added in the future, could we add them now? a meta without assault vest, hdb or choice items just doesn't sound fun to play honestly
2. when will the ladder be up? this day? or is it closer to happening in a week?

:glimmora-mega:
Typing: Rock/Poison
Ability: Adaptability
Health Points: 83
Physical Attack: 90
Physical Defense: 105
Special Attack: 150
Special Defense: 96
Speed Tier: 101
:glimmora-mega: is a very strong special attacker with combination of 150 points in special attacking stat and adaptability, decent bulk and decent speed tier of 83/90/96 respectively and 101 speed tier :glimmora-mega: is very weak to ground type and steel type both offensively and defensively I think it will be UUBL at the minimum and could possible get exiled to realm of Uber
Resisted by: Poison Ground Ghost Rock Fighting Steel
Immune by: Steel
It has Earth power to hit Poison, Rock, Steel, Energy Ball for Ground and Rock, Dazzling Gleam for Fighting type but nothing for ghost types

What's our tldr on mega golurk
It looks rather silly with the unseen fist and movepool additions of rage fist and head long rush
Even if unseen fist got nerfed, it seems like a big big threat day 1 along with espathra

What's the difference between Piercing Drill and Unseen Fist, are both just the same ability? I've read somewhere that Piercing Drill could destroy screens and bypass substitutes too but nobody has said anything at that.

Also, is there any list with the changes in the movepools of the available Pokemon?

surprised abt the lack of talk about mega floette, it has 102 speed, very good special bulk, middling physical bulk+155 special attack with fairy aura. While lacking in good coverage options. Moonblast and draining kiss coming off of +1 has good calcs into about everything except for slowking-galar who both lost AV+bad into a potential sub cm set if it’s running bulk to take sludge bomb at +2 while negating twave behind sub. Looks to me atleast it will be very powerful in a 6v6 format

Is Torkoal not legal? He is listed on the Champions website
It’s not available now, but it’ll more than likely be allowed eventually.

Personally I think it’s neat, although defensively it will probably be problematic unless we force no item gourgeist or something along those lines.

It’s a watered down version of unseen fist and deals 25% of the damage it would have taken otherwise. Unseen Fist doesn’t get a damage reduction.

(I’m just going off of what it says on serebii, which could be wrong.)

“When the Pokémon uses contact moves, it can hit even targets that are protecting themselves, dealing 1/4 of the damage that the move would otherwise deal. Everything aside from the target's protective effects is still triggered.”

Have you checked its new move pool in champions or is it still the same from za?

I think it’s definitely a contender for one of the stronger megas in the future format, it does have some viable defensive counterplay in :Aggron-mega: :Slowking-Galar: :skeledirge: :steelix-mega: :Scizor-mega: :chimecho-mega: :Corviknight: :Tinkaton: :Toxapex: but a few of these Pokémon are megas so they’re not the most likely to be ran and coverage options on Floette can beat some of these Pokémon in the 1v1.

Unseen fist has been nerfed to do 1/4 dmg thru protect
Piercing drill n unseen fist r effectively the same ability just like pure and huge powers
